US Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) Settles Frivolous Nuisance Lawsuit in Olive Pit Tragedy

US Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) has settled his frivlous lawsuit against the Congressional cafeteria for the permanent damage, mental anguish and loss of consortium he suffered from biting into on olive pit in hos veggie wrap. UNBELIEVABLE. The details of the settlement are confidental. Of course they are … can you say nuisance law suit settlement. Kucinich stated, “I feel the defendants have responded fairly and reasonably.” Too bad we can’t say the same for the Congressman.

Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio) said Friday that he’d settled his lawsuit against the congressional cafeteria for dental damage he sustained after biting into an olive pit.

Kucinich wrote on his website that he’d settled his suit, the terms of which were confidential, and sought to explain the situation leading him to sue for $150,000 earlier this week.

“Though I would prefer to focus your attention on my work dealing with the profoundly important issues that face our nation, such as job creation, getting the economy back on track, and ending the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq — it seems that some are more interested in discussing my personal dental issues,” Kucinich wrote.

Actually, when it comes to this loon, I would rather have him focus on his olive pit prosecution than pointing his two cents in any legitimate and important issue of the day. Why is this moonbat even in the People’s House? Ohio, you can do better.

WHAT, who knew that Dennis Kucinich was one of the 10 to 30 million people in the United States not covered by health insurance? Does anyone really believe that a US Rep. does not get dental insurance, Really?

“To clarify, no dental expenses were covered by any health plan, nor did I have dental insurance that covered the injury, which, until it was resolved, affected my ability to chew food properly,” he wrote, explaining why he sought recompense.

We remember the American heroes of the Space Shuttle Challenger, Michael J. Smith, Dick Scobee, Ronald McNair, Ellison Onizuka, Christa McAuliffe, Gregory Jarvis, Judith Resnik.

Sadly I remember this event like it was yesterday as one of the heroes that perished lived not too far away. Do you remember where you were? I can also remember President Reagan comforting a nation like only he could with heartfelt words that do not exist today.

US Rep. Jim Moran (D-VA) Says Racism Fueled Democrats’ 2010 Midterm Losses

Democrats call for civility … yet they continue their hateful rhetoric, when will the GOP ever learn?

Once again Democrats claim they want a more civility political rhetoric, yet keep playing the shameful race card. Lucy, the Dems, have once again pulled the football out from Charlie Brown, the GOP. It would appear that US Rep. Jim Moran (D-VA) did not get the message of civility and political rhetoric. Moran stated that is the Democrat  party’s losses in the 2010 midterm elections occurred because President Barack Obama is black. These sad pathetic politicians are still playing the race card. making matters even worse, he made his comments on the Arab television network Alhurra.

When will Republicans ever learn?

A Democratic congressman is attributing his party’s losses in the 2010 election cycle to the fact that President Barack Obama is black.

Speaking to Arab television network Alhurra, Rep. Jim Moran (D-Va.) said Republicans made big gains in November in part because “a lot of people in this country … don’t want to be governed by an African-American.”

Even more objectionable to some Americans, he said, is that Obama is a black president “who is inclusive, who is liberal, who wants to spend money on everyone and who wants to reach out to include everyone in our society — that’s a basic philosophical clash.”

Moran’s remarks came Tuesday in an interview conducted after Obama delivered his State of the Union speech. Democrats, Moran said, lost for “the same reason the Civil War Happened in the United States … the Southern states, particularly the slaveholding states, didn’t want to see a president who was opposed to slavery.” Virginia, of course, is one of those Southern, formerly slaveholding states.

 Is it Jim Moran or Moron? I thought the Democrats and Obama stated prior to the election that President Barack Obama was not on the ballot in 2010? Of course the “shellacking” taken by Democrats had nothing to do with the poor economy, over the top government stimulus spending, unemployment near 10% and the Democrat controlled House and Senate, coupled with Barack Obama not listening to the will of the American people and forcing Obamacare down their collective throats.

Will Democrats police their own and call out Jim Moran for these hateful and untrue comments? Time will tell. Keep it up Democrats; it is exactly this kind of nonsense and dismissiveness of the American people that caused the shellacking in 2010. It is a center-right country, not a racist one. That is why Democrats got their political butts kicked in 2010.

Initial Jobless Claims up to 454,000, An Increase of 51,000 from Previous Week

The US Dept of Labor has posted the most recent jobless rate … 454,000, up 51,000 from the previous week, up dramatically than the predictions!!! It appears that they want to blame it on the snow. Really guys? I’ll bet it was “among other things” that was the cause.

SEASONALLY ADJUSTED DATA

In the week ending Jan. 22, the advance figure for seasonally adjusted initial claims was 454,000, an increase of 51,000 from the previous week’s revised figure of 403,000. The 4-week moving average was 428,750, an increase of 15,750 from the previous week’s revised average of 413,000.

The advance seasonally adjusted insured unemployment rate was 3.2 percent for the week ending Jan. 15, an increase of 0.1 percentage point from the prior week’s unrevised rate of 3.1 percent.

The advance number for seasonally adjusted insured unemployment during the week ending Jan. 15 was 3,991,000, an increase of 94,000 from the preceding week’s revised level of 3,897,000. The 4-week moving average was 3,975,500, a decrease of 39,750 from the preceding week’s revised average of 4,015,250.
