NJ Gov. Chris Christie Swings at Obama’s Inexperience: “I’m Not Arrogant Enough to Believe That After One Year As Governor I Am Ready to Be President”
Batter, batter, batter … swing batter!!!
New Jersey Governor Chris Christie stated on Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace that he was once again not going to run for President in 2012. Even though a recent Zogby poll had Christie ahead of Obama in a hypothetical match up, Christie once again said that his duty was to the people of the Gardenstate. When further pressed by Chris Wallace as to why he would not run for President in 2012, Christie made the following not so underhanded slap at President Obama and his lack of experience … “I’m not arrogant enough to believe that after one year as governor I am ready to be President”

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) brushed off a Zogby poll from earlier this month that showed him leading a pack of hypothetical GOP 2012 contenders, adamantly stressing that’s not in his plans.
“The president can rest easy because the only guy who beats him in that poll isn’t running,” Christie said on “Fox News Sunday.”
“I have a commitment to my state,” he said, adding that he’d only been governor for a year and New Jersey’s problems still need fixing.
“You have to believe in your heart that you’re personally ready to be president and I’m not there,” Christie said. “I am not arrogant enough to believe that after one year as governor … that I am ready to be president of the United States.”
“So I’m not going to run,” the governor said.
It is too bad that Obama did not have the same set of principles. Imagine the arrogance of an individual who had less than a one term as a US Senator thinking that they were Presidential material. Since the outset of his administration, Obama has been over his head.

Im not an R or a P but an I. But isnt is strange how most all the people with an R after there name have sooo much more common sense compared to those with the P after there name.
Yeah, not so much.
In reality this actually applies to 1/2 Governor Sarah Palin.

SM: No it applied to a novice that even Joe Biden said was not ready for office. There is a reason why Obama has been lost in smallness … he is not even clode to be up to the job.
How sad is it that the MAM has to say after a speech that he acted Presidential? Never were those words eber spoke of Reagan, Ron was always Presidential, 24/7.
Obama needs to go back to being a community organizer.

Hey Steve, its the difference between a political opportunist like Obama and a Gov like Christie who said, the more experience he can gain, the better President and leader he would be.
Yes, his comment was a direct swipe at Obama, the Novice in Chief.
R
When your experience level is tiny it is hard to understand what is required to do the job.
When every job you have held has been handed to you by your policical buddies who want you to be the front man for their efforts, then your empty experience is just fine.
The way I see it, Christie, a public servant, is dedicating
himself to supporting the People. Obama, a public servant,
is dedicating the People to supporting (H)imself.
sm – Christie never compares his situation to anyone at all, so it is pure speculation that he is trying to reference another person.
Beyond that fact, it is incredible to claim to know who an unnamed person is when referring to the Gov’s comments. There isn’t and can’t be any proof of him having a person in mind, because no one was ever named.
Opinions aside, it is a fact that Obama served 12 years combined in Ill Senate and US Senate. Palin served 2 full 3-year terms as Wasilla Mayor (pop 10,000), and 1/2 of her 4-year term as Governor of Alaska; only 2 years. Of these two, only one seems to line up against the comment from Christie (especially since he was referring to a partial gubernatorial term).
I understand wishful thinking and political bias, but if you only have the Christie comment to parse. and are looking for a matching politician, the math clearly favors Palin over Obama.
p.s. – Christie also mentioned “I have a commitment to my state”, which may ring a bell regarding a certain Governor.

SM: Steve, I am sorry that you can’t do simple math. Spare us, every one knows what he was referencing, including most libs.
R
#3 – if that is what Christie meant, he could have said it. He didn’t; you did. Great, I understand your opinion; but that doesn’t make it true.
____________
SM: Some times you don’t have to say it Mr. literal. Most of the time it is not.
Obama will pretend and fuddle through the motions, but when serious issues need to be addressed he will have Hill and Bill doing his bidding…People will forget it all when he charms them with his never ending speeches.
Where are they jetting off to for their next vacation.
sm - Math? Such as what?
__________
SM: You just answered ny question. Stop being intentionally obtuse.
sm – If you can state “nothing” as fact, then I guess you don’t need to have “it” said.
Since I can’t research someone’s imagination, you win (whatever that means).
_______________
SM: Did you watch the entire interview and the context of the questions and answers? If not, I suggest you do. Just out of curiosity, who has been in the public debate as being inexperienced and not up to the job? His own VP said that Americans should not have a president who had to learn on the job.

The Presidency is not something that lends itsself to on the job training.
R
sm – and you just didn’t (couldn’t?) answer mine.
sm – In fact, I saw the entire interview as broadcast – and everything I’ve said is factual, backed up by the words spoken, or historical records. I really don’t see how they can be refuted on that basis.

I totally agree with every word of your comment.
However, I think it is past time we stopped taking pot shots at President GW Bush.
I don’t know, I am not so sure that I believe that Chris Christie isn’t arrogant…everything out of his mouth sees to scream arrogance. To me he as always come across as a bully and extremely arrogant.
