Incoming House Speaker John Boehner’s office (R-Ohio) stated that he would not back down to Democrat despite their warnings. Boehner vowed to push ahead, full steam ahead, with legislation repealing healthcare reform. Boehner’s office responded to a letter sent by the Senate’s top five Democrats, vowing to block a House bill repealing healthcare reform:

Senators Reid, Durbin, Schumer, Murray and Stabenow:

Thank you for reminding us – and the American people – of the backroom deal that you struck behind closed doors with ‘Big Pharma,’ resulting in bigger profits for the drug companies, and higher prescription drug costs for 33 million seniors enrolled in Medicare Part D, at a cost to the taxpayers of $42.6 billion.

The House is going to pass legislation to repeal that now.  You’re welcome.

John Boehner, a good start. Another plus will be the reading of the US Constitution.

Republicans will fulfill there promises to the American people in the attempt to repeal Obamacare. Sixty percent of the American people are in favor of the repeal of the government take over of health care, passes against the will of the people. The question is, how many Democrats in the House will vote in favor of repeal or face the voters wrath in 2012? The question can also be said to the 20+ Democrat US Senators who are up for reelection in 2012. Many in “blue” states.

However, as stated by the Left Coast Rebel, how many of the other ambitious campaign promises will they also pursue like  ”cuts in wasteful spending, eliminate earmarks, trim the bloated military budget where appropriate, eliminate the influence of special interests {pull peddlers] on Capitol Hill, reduce the burdensome and often unnecessary regulatory oversight on businesses, look to simply the tax code…”.

   A good list in the article. However, one critical item is not on the list and that is the elemination of public sector unions and their wasteful baggage.
