School Board Shooting Panama City, FL: Bay City Schools Superintendent Bill Husfelt, “God Blocked the Bullet”
So much for boring school board meetings …
Clay A. Duke opened fire on Bay City Schools Superintendent Bill Husfelt at a school board meeting in response to his claims that his wife was fired. Before the shooting started, Duke spray-painted a “V” in red with a circle around it ala ”V for Vendetta.” All of the insanity was caught live on tape from the live video streaming school board meeting.
A disturbed gunman shooting directly at him, a Florida schools superintendent was prepared to die but said today he was saved when “God blocked the bullet.”
“I was very confident that I was going to get shot. I wasn’t pulling for it, but I was ready if that was going to happen,” Bay City Schools Superintendent Bill Husfelt said today on ABC’s “Good Morning America.” “I knew where I would go if I were to pass away. I was very prepared for that.”
The gunman, Clay A. Duke, opened fire on Husfelt at a school board meeting Tuesday night, but nobody was hit. A security officer, Mike Jones, exchanged fire with Duke, wounding him. Duke, 56, then fatally shot himself, the only casualty of the violence caught on videotape.
The VIDEO below has even more footage of the gun shots that took place including the shot that took the gunman down.

There are a number of real heros in this story. 1) The lady who came back after being let go to try to knock the gun out of the guy’s hand with her purse. 2) The superintendent who claimed he was the one ultimately responsible, and that the man should be angry with him and let the other’s go. 3) The security guard who laid his life on the line exchanging gunfire. These are Real Heros! Not the plastic ones from Washington and Hollywood that are propped up daily for us to worship.
God must have blocked the bullets. No one could be that bad of a shot from such close range. Amazing!
also lucky the guy was a poor shot.
The superintendent was very lucky that the gunman only knew how to load the gun rather than how to accurately shoot it. He did the usual mistake of pulling the barrel up and to the left when he fired.
Where was security when this altercation began?
So beautiful… shame his aim was so poor. I love to watch these vids with the sound off. Bye bye America! Keep buying those guns! Keep shooting! Yup you have the right to bear arms, bear them! P.S. if you can’t shoot straight you can always just shoot yourself / your dog / your family while they’re asleep! USA! USA!!
