Daily Commentary – Monday, November 8th, 2010 – Thoughts on Olbermann’s Suspension
- Will he come back to MSNBC? Should he?
WHAT??? Mara Liasson Compares Nancy Pelosi to Hero Winston Churchill on Fox News Sunday
Talks about LIBERAL insanity … What Planet do these people live on?
Yesterday on Fox News Sunday NPR’s Mara Liasson compared soon to be ex-Democrat Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi to Winston Churchill. WHAT!!! YES, YOU HEARD THAT CORRECTLT!!! Talk about your revisionist and LIBERAL history. Nancy Pelosi can be compared to many people, Winston Churchill is not one of them.
Britt Hume chimed in and in so many words said, WTF! Mara’s thought process, or the lack thereof goes like this … Nancy Pelosi is like Winston Churchill, who led his country to a great victory. However, Pelosi who lead her partisan party to a great victory in passing Obamacare with an overwhelming Democrat majority in the House, was thrown out of power in a 62+ House seat change as her actions were deemed against the will of the people.
More from the Gateway Pundit:
Churchill lifted his country to victory.
Pro-surrender Pelosi helped democrats triple the deficit and double the unemployment rate. She rammed through nationalized health care on a strictly partisan vote.
There’s a big difference, Mara.
Mara Liasson is being a good NPR lib and obviously does not want to become the next Juan Williams.

Olbermann Was Suspended For Refusing To Apologize On Camera … A MSM Game of MSNBC Chicken … Olbermann to Return Tuesday
Keith “Worst Person in the World”Olbermann was suspended indefinately because he refused to apologize on air for his donation indiscretions. According to reports. Olbermann is stating that he did not know he was barred from making campaign contributions, although he is resisting saying that publicly, let alone an apology. So where does that leave Olbermann … still suspended.
Politico’s Mike Allen added another layer of speculation to Keith Olbermann’s sudden and indefinite suspension on Friday: Olbermann was suspended for refusing to apologize on air. From Playbook:
Network sources tell Playbook that Keith Olbermann was suspended because he refused to deliver an on-camera mea culpa, which would have allowed him to continue anchoring “Countdown.” Olbermann told his bosses he didn’t know he was barred from making campaign contributions, although he is resisting saying that publicly. Olbermann may not hold as many cards as he thinks. He makes $7 million a year and MSNBC’s prime time is not as dependent on him as it was before the addition of Rachel Maddow and Lawrence O’Donnell, who make considerably less.
More of Keith Olbermann’s media brilliance
One has to wonder where Olbermann is going with this game of liberal, moonbat chicken. Just how many media outlets does Olbermann think are out there that is going to allow the nonsense that takes place at MSNBC? Who gets paid $7 million for the sparse ratings Olbermannreceives? Olbermann was been a PITA to employers dating back to his days at ESPN. Has Olbermann finally worn out his welcome at MSNBC?
Allen goes on to point out that Olbermann mightn’t be as much in the driver’s seat at MSNBC as he used to be.
At $7 million a year, his salary is quite lofty given his ratings, especially as Rachel Maddow and Lawrence O’Donnell who both make far less are drawing roughly the same number of eyeballs in their respective time slots.
I would have to agree with News Busters, when will MSNBC apologize to the public for subjecting their viewer’s to Olbermann’s drivel?
UPDATE I: What MSNBC management conviction … the indefinite suspension of Keith Olbermann ends at two shows and four days, as Olbermann is to return Tuesday. Wow, way to make a statement and enforce your so-called ethics violations.
From Phil Griffin, President of MSNBC:
After several days of deliberation and discussion, I have determined that suspending Keith through and including Monday night’s program is an appropriate punishment for his violation of our policy. We look forward to having him back on the air Tuesday night.
Honestly, I could care less whether Olbermann donated $’s to liberal and Democrat candidates. What else would I expect him to do, give donations to Republicans? I do not consider Keith Olbermann a news man, he is a commentator with a liberal slant. He is nothing more than editorial, not news. As stated at the American Spectator, so what gives with MSNBC and their policies? Do the have an ethics policy, does Olbermann fall under it and is a two show suspension, really a suspension?
What I would say to the LEFT and to Olbermann, isn’t it amazing that you actually had folks on the RIGHT that defended Olber-idiot and his right to stay on the air. We chose just to not watch the nonsensical rantings of Olbermann, not to have him forced off TV. Teawits, eh … the LEFT will just never understand. Olbermann got more PR and media attention with this idiotic story than who actually watch his show. The LEFT continues to be clueless. However, it is just too bad that the LEFT cannot say the same in their never ending attempts to try and force the likes of Glenn Beck from the air waves. Pathetic indeed.

Barack Obama, the “Teleprompter” in Chief … We thought Obama is a trained orator and skilled in the art of mass address …”
Barack Obama, the “Teleprompter” in Chief… Looks like the Indian people were fooled to by Obama, we thought he was a trained orator. It would appear that many were fooled by Obama including those who voted for him in the 2008 Presidential election. As Jammie Wearing Fool states, he is not a trainer orator, he is a trained agitator instead.
Namaste India! In all likelihood that will be silver-tongued Barack Obama’s opening line when he addresses the Indian parliament next week. But to help him pronounce Hindi words correctly will be a teleprompter which the US president uses ever so often for his hypnotising speeches.
According to parliament sources, a technical team from the US has helped the Lok Sabha secretariat install textbook-sized panes of glass around the podium that will give cues to Obama on his prepared remarks to 780 Indian MPs on the evening of Nov 8.
It will be a 20-minute speech at Parliament House’s Central Hall that has been witness to some historic events, including first prime minister Jawaharlal Nehru’s “tryst with destiny” speech when India became independent.
Obama will make history for more than one reason during the Nov 6-9 visit. This will be the first time a teleprompter will be used in the nearly 100-feet high dome-shaped hall that has portraits of eminent national leaders adorning its walls.
Indian politicians are known for making impromptu long speeches and perhaps that is why some parliament officials, who did not wish to be named, sounded rather surprised with the idea of a teleprompter for Obama.
“We thought Obama is a trained orator and skilled in the art of mass address with his continuous eye contact,” an official, who did not wish to be identified because of security restrictions, said.
UPDATE I:Indian Congress Mesmerized by Obama’s speech and his teleprompter reading skills.YIKES! We completely agree wityh Weasel Zippers, they can thank their lucky stars that they did not have to suffer through an Obama non-teleprompter off the cuff speach filled wth ums and ahs.
India should have been at these Obama addresses
(WAPO) He thrilled them by calling for India to have a permanent seat on an expanded U.N. Security Council. He reassured them by demanding that Pakistan bring those responsible for the Mumbai terror attacks to justice. He flattered them by recalling India’s historic achievements in science, philosophy and the invention of the digit “zero”. And he amazed them by using that ubiquitous tool of modern American politics: the teleprompter.
President Obama used the electronic speech-displaying device Monday to deliver his 30-minute address to Indian lawmakers in the historic Central Hall of parliament, the same place where Britain relinquished power to a newly independent India in 1947. It was the first time a teleprompter had been used inside the chamber.
“It looks like a podium”, said one mystified lawmaker. “Where do they place the paper?” asked another.
Hey Barack, when it comes to those mad teleprompter skills, YOU D’A MAN!

Connecticut Jury Deliberates For 2nd Day in Steven Hayes Home Invasion, Rape, Murder Case (Update: Hayes Sentenced to Death)
Hey Jury, what are you thinking … PUT HIM TO DEATH!!!
A jury in Connecticut deliberates for a second day in the in the sentencing phase of the Steven Hayes home invasion case and murder case. They are deciding as to whether Hayes will be out to death or spend life in prison. The real question might be what is taking the jury so long?
Convicted Murderer Steven Hayes
A second day? What the hell is this jury thinking?Did this jury not pay attention to the heinous and brutal murders that Steven Haves was convicted of? Honestly, who the hell cares what a paid expert witness psychiatrist said regarding Hayes emotional state? Are you kidding me? The murder shocked the small town and Cheshire, CT as the crime took place in the middle of the night on July 23, 2007 and outraged a country.
Steven Hayes was convicted last month of killing a Cheshire woman and her two daughters in 2007.
Dr. Petit, left, with his daughters Michaela, front, Hayley, center rear, and his wife, Jennifer Hawke-Petit. His wife and two daughters were killed during a home invasion in Cheshire, CT in 2007.
The New Haven jury weighed Hayes’ sentence for a second day Saturday, at one point asking to hear some of the testimony from a psychiatrist who said Hayes was in an extreme emotional state triggered after another man also charged in the case.
If there was ever a shut and cut case of giving some one a needle, in fact give him two, it would be the Steven Hayes case. This POS was convicted, along with his accomplice Joshua Komisarjevsky, of sexually assaulting and strangling Jennifer Hawke-Petit, pouring gasoline on her two daughters and setting their house on fire.
Take a good read of how the mom and two daughters were raped and murdered and ask yourself when this oiece of grabage should be be put to death.
Authorities said Komisarjevsky spotted the mother and two daughters at a grocery store, followed them home and returned later with Hayes.
They beat the girl’s father (who managed to escape after being tied to a pole in the basement) and forced Hawke-Petit to take out money from a bank before raping and choking her to death.
The men then tied the daughters to a bed, placed pillow covers over their heads and poured gasoline on them before setting the house on fire, authorities added. Both girls died from smoke inhalation, and one of the daughters was sexually assaulted.
UPDATE I: Steven Hayes Sentenced to DEATH!!!
Rapist and murderer Steven Hayes has been sentenced to death on 6 separate counts, and the judge accepts the verdicts. Was there any other sentence that could have been given? If not, there is no reason to have the death penalty in CT.
