Connecticut Jury Deliberates For 2nd Day in Steven Hayes Home Invasion, Rape, Murder Case (Update: Hayes Sentenced to Death)

Hey Jury, what are you thinking … PUT HIM TO DEATH!!!

A jury in Connecticut deliberates for a second day in the in the sentencing phase of the Steven Hayes home invasion case and murder case. They are deciding as to whether Hayes will be out to death or spend life in prison. The real question might be what is taking the jury so long?

Convicted Murderer Steven Hayes

A second day? What the hell is this jury thinking?Did this jury not pay attention to the heinous and brutal murders that Steven Haves was convicted of? Honestly, who the hell cares what a paid expert witness psychiatrist said regarding Hayes emotional state? Are you kidding me? The murder shocked the small town and Cheshire, CT as the crime took place in the middle of the night on July 23, 2007 and outraged a country.

Steven Hayes was convicted last month of killing a Cheshire woman and her two daughters in 2007.

Dr. Petit, left, with his daughters Michaela, front, Hayley, center rear, and his wife, Jennifer Hawke-Petit. His wife and two daughters were killed during a home invasion in Cheshire, CT in 2007.

The New Haven jury weighed Hayes’ sentence for a second day Saturday, at one point asking to hear some of the testimony from a psychiatrist who said Hayes was in an extreme emotional state triggered after another man also charged in the case.

If there was ever a shut and cut case of giving some one a needle, in fact give him two, it would be the Steven Hayes case. This POS was convicted, along with his accomplice Joshua Komisarjevsky, of sexually assaulting and strangling Jennifer Hawke-Petit, pouring gasoline on her two daughters and setting their house on fire.

Take a good read of how the mom and two daughters were raped and murdered and ask yourself when this oiece of grabage should be be put to death.

Authorities said Komisarjevsky spotted the mother and two daughters at a grocery store, followed them home and returned later with Hayes.

They beat the girl’s father (who managed to escape after being tied to a pole in the basement) and forced Hawke-Petit to take out money from a bank before raping and choking her to death.

The men then tied the daughters to a bed, placed pillow covers over their heads and poured gasoline on them before setting the house on fire, authorities added. Both girls died from smoke inhalation, and one of the daughters was sexually assaulted.

UPDATE I: Steven Hayes Sentenced to DEATH!!!

Rapist and murderer Steven Hayes has been sentenced to death on 6 separate counts, and the judge accepts the verdicts. Was there any other sentence that could have been given? If not, there is no reason to have the death penalty in CT.

Both of these guys should be taken to the town square and shot in the head. End of story, end of their miserable, waste of oxygen lives.

You wonder how animals like these guys were raised. Look at people around you when shopping or out in public. There are poor little kids out there being neglected and brought up like little animals who are going to turn out like this Sh@$.
Its really sad because all little babys start out in this world the same. I really fell sorry for the kids who have parents who sit around smoking dope and that stuff.

Proud to live in a state that gives me the right to protect my family and household. Someone breaks into my house there coming out in a black bag, yes I can legally kill an intruder, personally I would torture the fack and then kill em.

Jury sentences man to death for Conn. home-invasion slayings

Dr. William Petit Jr., who survived the brutal attack on his family, said, “This is a verdict for justice.” ….

Asked if he thought there would be closure now, Petit said, “There’s never closure. There’s a hole … with jagged edges … that may smooth out with time, but the hole in your heart and the hole in your soul” remains.

“This isn’t about revenge,” Petit said. “Vengeance belongs to the Lord. This is about justice.”

#6 My state too. This thing well sit on deathrow for maybe ten or so years. Lets see if he keeps smiling all that time waiting. What needs to be done is with a sharp knife so he will have to squat to pee for the next ten years.

      Evil, evil, EVIL!

#6—Maybe we should all move there!

Most definitely an ADVOCATE to BRING BACK THE DEATH PENALTY IN EVERY STATE—especially as it pertains to henious crimes as this case above.

Are you SERIOUS? Someone needs to take this Scumbag out, and I say that as a Proud American with love in my heart.

Wrong is just wrong, and evil is just EVIL. Why waste the taxpayers dollars giving Vermin like this their 3 squares a day and a place to sleep every night.

There are plenty of neglected, homeless people I pass by every day on the Streets on the way to work. I would much rather help those down on their luck then to have one red penny go towards the Rehabilitation of these types of Criminals….there is no such thing!

This Man caused so much pain and ripped an entire family apart. I watched a few minutes of Dr. Petit’s testimony, and had to turn it off. He remains a graceful, proud Man and I hope that he finds peace and happiness in his future life.

This SCUM wiped out his entire family! Eff him! He needs to go, plain and simple.

      9. you would be singing another tune if it was your family being held hostage. Why should I have any mercy for a person that breaks in my home and wants to rape, kill or torture my family, why should I treat that person any differently than he treats me? (Do one to other before they do un to you), in-netherworlds I refuse to back down because you or some book tells me I’m a bad person and ill go to hell, because i refuse to kiss the ass of a person that wants to kill me.

You are the one that is delusional, again given the home invasion situation on you and your family, would you simply say I’m ok with a criminal killing my children and raping my wife?

Honestly what would be your response? Remember you would be watching the horror, prior to getting a bullet in the head.
