Barack Obama Suddenly Finds Religion as His Poll Numbers Near the 30′s

Hallelujah … The Chosen One Attends Church.

The Drudge Report is reporting that President Barack Hussein Obama and the first family in tow attended church this morning. Now, now he attends church after all this time in the White House. Interestingly enough, he attends church on the day the sermon has to do with the“unjust Steward”. You make the call. One would ask of “The One”, why now?

The first family left the White House on foot this morning for the 9am choral Holy Eucharist service and sermon at St John’s Church Lafayette Square.

The Obamas walked out of the residence at 8.49am and crossed the park to the nearby Episcopal church.

The president was wearing a dark suit and held Sasha Obama’s hand. She was wearing a blue dress and cream cardigan. Michelle and Malia Obama were wearing cream-colored dresses. (Check photos for accuracy of descriptions. It’s sunny and pool was at a distance.)

The service sheet doesn’t indicate what the sermon is on but the gospel is Luke 16:1-13, which ends ‘You cannot serve God and wealth.’

Lafayette Park and Pennsylvania Avenue in front of White House were closed to the public.

Maybe Obama was praying for forgiveness for his destroying of jobs from his incompetent jobs and stimulus agenda. Maybe Obama was praying for forgiveness for not paying attention and making jobs his focus and the nearly 10% out of work Americans rather than his liberal socialist agenda of “Cap & Trade” or Obamacare. Or maybe he is asking forgiveness for last week not referncing in a speech that the rights of Americans are endowed by our Creator?   Maybe Obama is asking forgiveness for placing God’s children and grandchildren in America in debt with out of control and record spending and deficits?

Then again, maybe Obama just went to show every one that he is really a Christian and not a Muslim as many believe. Maybe he went to church to pray for a personal and selfish miracle that his poll numbers would not sink any lower and Democrats would not be routed in the 2010 midterm elections.

Just curious, did Barack Obama feel out of place at an Episcopal Church where there was not Rev. Wright type taking the Lords name in vain from the pulpit?

UPDATE I: Think there is any correlation that just yesterday as reported by the Politico that Mike Huckabee was quoted saying that President Obama could quell rumors about his faith by “leading the example of attending worship,” and mentioned that Obama once talked of finding a home church in Washington. Nah, must be just a coincidence to a President who is clinging for any positive image he can muster.

Maybe Huckabee’s speach gave him the idea to go church and be seen. Do I believe it was a sincere effort on his part? NO

This guy is an absolute fake and anything he does is all about image.

If the President did not go to church you would have something to say about that !Do you believe in God ? do you go to church ? your voice do not change a thing really. These states and our nation need to pray to the only one that can change things GOD !!! If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and turn from their wicked ways, then I will heal the land. Can’t you see, your instructions are right there.

SM: Why yes, thanks for asking.

The President went to Church like he does everything, for political convenience. Just curious how one spends 20 years in the pews with Rev Wright and suddenly can’t find a church to his liking.
