Sore Loser Republican Establishment Senator Lisa Murkowski will Run as Write it in Alaska Senate Race
For establishment, elitist politicians … it is their birth right to have power over you as they know better than you!
Whether they be Republicans or democrats, elitist, establishment candidates just can’t take no as an answer from the people. They think it is their birth right to represent the people, even when they people say they do not want them to. What is the definition of a RINO, establishment, elite politicians … Lisa Murkowski.
Lisa Murkowski, Don’t you know who I am … I lost the Primary, but you need me because it is my birth right
Lisa Murkowski, the incumbent Republican US Senator from Alaska has announced that she will run in the 2010 US Senate Alaska general election as a “write-in” candidate. Defying the vote of Alaskans in the recent Republican primary, Murkowski will not support the Republican winner of the primary as she stated she would, she will instead run as a write-in candidate and possibly split the Republican vote and hand the Democrats a victory. Murkowski lost the Republican primary to Tea Party and Sarah Palin backed Joe Miller.
Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) will run for re-election as a write-in candidate after losing her bid for renomination, according to sources briefed on Murkowski’s decision.
Murkowski’s decision will set up a 3-way battle between the incumbent, Miller and Sitka Mayor Scott McAdams (D), potentially turning the race on its head. Private 3-way polling has shown Miller leading, but by a narrow margin.
Murkowski will make the formal announcement tonight in Anchorage. She has been mulling her options after losing to attorney Joe Miller (R) by 1.8% — or about 2K votes out of 110K cast.
Miller won with the backing of the Tea Party Express and former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R). The Tea Party Express spent hundreds of thousands of dollars criticizing Murkowski’s legislative accomplishments, and Palin campaigned against her rival in the race’s closing days.
The Anchorage Daily News reports it as, ‘Murkowski says ‘Let’s Make History’. Really? Why was it not reported as what it really is, sore loser incumbent, establishment US Senator who feels it is her birth right defies her party and the people and runs as a write-in as a desperateattempt to keep power. Senator Murkowski acts like there was no primary vote. She lost and she just can’t accept the outcome.
“Well, ladies and gentlemen, friends and supporters, the gloves are off and I’m fighting for Alaska,” Murkowski said. “Alaskans deserve a fighter in the United States Senate who will always stand up for Alaska, who understands our great potential, who has the experience, respect and seniority to accomplish that. I am that senator.”
Think about this and Murkowski’s complete disregard of her party and more importantly, the Alaska voters. Murkowski had ther name recognition, the support of the state and federal Republican party and had a war chest of money that far surpassed Joe Miller. As Sarah Pain tweeted,
Primary voters spoke. Listen to the people, respect their will; w/a 40-pt incumbent lead & $2.8 million war chest, voters chose Joe instead
What ever happened to accepting the will of the people? Isn’t that what the primaries are for, to determine what candidate each party will run in the general election? Not when you are an elitist, establishment US Senator who things that they are entitled to the seat. They say that they will endorse the other candidate prior to the election. However, they only make these claims because they never think they are going to lose. When they do, they can’t handle the truth or the will of the people.
Critics of RINO’s have been proved correct and thanks to the Tea Party and voters who want members of the US Senate who are Republicans to act like Republ;icans. As stated at NRO, the actions of so-called Republicans moderates this election cycle has reinforced what was suspected of them all along, “moderates never seem to be willing to compromise or put the party’s interest first”. They are nothing more than political, selfish, self-serving hacks.
Lisa Murkowski represents exactly what is wrong with the Republican party today. She thinks that she is entitled to the US Senate seat as if she was a US Supreme Court Justice appointed for life. So why is it that RINO’s who do not get their way disregard the will of the people and go against the people’s vote? This is exactly the reason why these folks like Murkowski, Crist in Florida, Specter in Pennsylvania and Castle in Delaware all needed to be removed once and for all. They have been exposed for what they really are, wolves in elephants clothing.
NRO has more reactions from Senator John Cornyn of Texas, NRSC chair and Senator Mitch McConnell, Senate GOP leader:
Sen. John Cornyn of Texas, NRSC chair, reacts:
“Republican primary voters spoke when they nominated Joe Miller in Alaska, and I am deeply disappointed in Senator Lisa Murkowski’s decision to ignore that clear message and wage a write-in candidacy. The NRSC stands firmly behind Joe Miller’s nomination, and we will ensure that he has all of the resources that he needs in order to win this November.”
Sen. Mitch McConnell, Senate GOP leader, weighs in:
“Senate Republicans informed Lisa Murkowski that we will respect the will of the voters in Alaska and support the Republican nominee, Joe Miller. I informed her that by choosing to run a campaign against the Republican nominee, she no longer has my support for serving in any leadership roles, and I have accepted her letter of resignation from Senate leadership. Lisa has served her state and our party with distinction, but Republicans acknowledge the decision Alaskans made and join them in support of the Republican nominee, Joe Miller—the next Senator for Alaska.”
Hot Air discusses whether Lisa Murkowski win a write-in candidacy, probably not. However, she can certainly spit the vote and have a Democrat steal the seat. What party loyalty to the party that had supported her for years. In the end, its all about them, not they people.
Hey Murkowski, have some dignity will you for yourself and some respect for the voters. Murkowski stated and made a swipe at Sarah Palin by stating, “this is one woman who won’t quit Alaska”. Spare us the melodrama, you lost a primary vote. Do the adult thing, call the winner, congratulate him and then support the primary party winner. Instead we have an establishment, entitled candidate acting like a child and upset that a Sarah Palin backed candidate in Joe Miller beat her. It’s time to be an adult Senator Murkowski.
What is that sound? Its the sound of entitled and elitist establishment US Senator Lisa Murkowski clinging on to the US Senate rail as her finger nails scratch along the surface. What next, will she barricades herself in her DC Senate office when Joe Miller beats her in the general election stating that the Alaska voters have told her they want her there in spite of the people’s vote?

Until we get a 2nd party to challenge the Democrat party and the RINO controlled Republican party, we’re never going to take back the country. Both the Democrats and the RINOs believe the enemy is conservatives and the people of this country, and they are willing to do whatever they have to do to maintain their power over us.
Lisa, Lisa, the people have spoken. Sit down and sit it out. Too bad you would not listen to me on Chelsea’s Law. I might have voted for you….
Perhaps I can be of assistance… I have a certain amount of influence in the metropolitan area of Manley Hot Springs.
Waaaaaaah wahhhhhh wahhhhhhh….Please pass the tissues.
There is nothing worse than a sore loser, DEM or REP. Get over yourself, Lady and get the hell out of Dodge!
As opposed to sore loser Christine O’Donnell who in 2004 ran as a write in candidate after the Republican Primary voters rejected her during her first bid for a U.S. Senate seat?
SM: That’s good, then you must then oppose Mike Castle as well in 2010 for doing the same thing. That would be called being consistant.
>> “even when they people say they do not want them to [run]”
Considering that turnout in the 2010 AK primary was only 32% and LM split that with Whats-His-Nuts, I’d hardly call that a reverse mandate against her.
Really? Joe Miller dragged out his loss in both the state and federal courts for almost two months before finally conceding. He even wanted a hand-recount of his own ballots, which were machine-countable (??).
SM: Murkowski promised for a repeal of Obamacare and she lied. The political Murkowski machine has run Alaska for quite some time.
