Barack Hussein Obama has picked Harold Hurtt as the director for the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Office of State and Local Coordination (ICE). With this pick, Obama has proved that he has a complete disdain for the rule of law in America when it comes to illegal immigration. Harold Hurtt is an outspoken critic of immigration enforcement and was the former police chief in Houston, TX and Phoenix, AZ.
“Chief Hurtt is a respected member of the law enforcement community and understands the concerns of local law enforcement leaders,” said John Morton, the Homeland Security assistant secretary for ICE. “His experience and skills will be an invaluable asset to the ICEs outreach and coordination efforts.”
But as a police chief, Hurtt was a supporter of “sanctuary city” policies, by which illegal immigrants who don’t commit crimes can live without fear of exposure or detainment because police don’t check for immigration papers.
He also, during his tenure as Houston police chief, criticized ICE’s key program that draws on local law enforcement’s support.
The inmates are literally running the assylum now under the Obama Administration. There are many people scratching their heads at this appointment by Obama. One of them is widow Joslyn Johnson,whose husband, Rodney Johnson, was killed in 2006 by an illegal immigrant because Hurtt failed to enforce federal immigration laws.

How on Earth do you tap a man to be director of ICE who is against what ICE is supposed to do in the first place? Let us not forget that the “E” in ICE stands for enforcement! Hurtt does not believe in enforcement of immigration laws against illegals, thus how can he be the director of the very organization that is supposed to be the enforcement agency against illegal immigration.
“There’s no way you can head up an office if you don’t believe in what the office is supposed to do,” Curtis Collier of U.S. Border Watch, told the Houston Chronicle. “Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s primary mission is to protect the American people. If this guy believes any of these programs should not be enforced, he’s certainly going to be a very weak advocate for them.”
Once again, welcome to Obama in Wonderland, where up is down, left is right and all things are screwed up beyond all rational comprehension. This from the same Obama Administration that looks to sue the state of Arizona for passing immigration reform stating that it is the job of the feds and doing nothing to deal with illegal immigration.
What did Hurtt do when he was police chief in Houston, hardly care whether individuals were legal or illegal. He refused to have his officers question individuals about there immigration status.
Hurtt and the former mayor announced in spring 2009 that the city would participate in 287(g), provided it was confined to the city’s jails. Hurtt steadfastly opposed having Houston officers question people in the field about their immigration status.
That decision resulted in backlash from some members of the police union and anti-illegal immigrant advocates but won him praise of leaders in Houston’s immigrant community.
How does such a man now have a leadership position in the enforcement agency against illegal immigration? Can there be any clearer statement from Barack Obama that he cares nothing of protecting the border and only wants to hold America hostage to “Comprehensive Immigration” reform and Amnesty for illegals.

I’m confused. Is it the expeditor who sits in between the coordinators or is it the coordinator who sits between the expeditors?
And in another city, far, far away (San Francisco), a woman is suing the “sanctuary” city over the murder of her husband and two sons by an illegal immigrant who had been arrested a number of times previous to those murders. The mayor of San Francisco is now running for Lieutenant Governor of California.
Although a majority of republicans and democrats support amnesty because (1) lobbyists support big-money corporations who hire both legal and illegal immigrants (legal having illegal immigrants as relatives) and (2) the Hispanic vote is significant in many congressional districts, the downside to amnesty is it is an open invitation for illegals to continue to cross the border, knowing once here for a while, they will also be granted amnesty. If amnesty is granted, it will continue to perpetuate a never-ending border crossing. The only sensible solution to me is to deport all illegals, and/but allow them to apply for legal visa with the caveat that they have a good chance of it being approved if they can show they can obtain or have employment in the US and/or they have legal residents who can support them and they will pay taxes.
Are we still headed for the rocks or has the ship changed course towards the reef ???
Okay, so maybe he is an illegal alien? His Auntie is? His Dad was? No wonder he’s all over Arizona, it’s personal? Again, I just feel sorry for his daughters. Not Michelle, she seems tough enough to take care of herself. Actually, she seems like the backbone in the white house.
