Hmm, Obama Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel Leaving the White House?

A report from the UK Telegraph says that Obama Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel will be stepping down later this year.

Washington insiders say he will quit within six to eight months in frustration at their unwillingness to “bang heads together” to get policy pushed through.

Mr Emanuel, 50, enjoys a good working relationship with Mr Obama but they are understood to have reached an understanding that differences over style mean he will serve only half the full four-year term.

Friends say he is also worried about burnout and losing touch with his young family due to the pressure of one of most high profile jobs in US politics.

“I would bet he will go after the midterms,” said a leading Democratic consultant in Washington. “Nobody thinks it’s working but they can’t get rid of him – that would look awful. He needs the right sort of job to go to but the consensus is he’ll go.”

An official from the Bill Clinton era said that “no one will be surprised” if Mr Emanuel left after the midterm elections in November, when the Democratic party will battle to save its majorities in the house of representatives and the senate.

Stepping down after the 2010 midterm election and becoming the sacrificial lamb for the all but certain Democrat carnage that is about to take place?

If Emanuel knew what was good for him he would leave prior to the midterms. As stated atWizbang, the ideologies of the Obama Administration, Axelrod and Valerie Jarrett, are running the show and have Obama’s ear as seen with the health care debate. Imagine being considered the “voice of reason” among Obama’s gang of reasonless?

Emanuel recognized that a massive political backlash was coming and recommended that Obama accept a smaller reform bill. However, according to the Telegraph, Axelrod and Valerie Jarrett were the ones who convinced Obama to go for the whole health care enchilada.

As Democrat candidates will be distancing themselves from Obama in the upcoming elections, it is any wonder why any one would want to be in Obama’s “Inner Circle” of socialism. With an upcoming midterm election, Democrats are running for the hills when it comes to the cost of the Obama agenda. It is the only time Dems get sticker shock, right before an election.

Obama has proved to be a failure as a leader as seen by his apathetic approach to the BP oil disaster and the American public have rejected his policies and aganda. How long will it be before others jump ship (Hillary Clinton) and rid themselves of the stench of this White House? I agree with Sundries Shack and have so ever since the Obama polling numbers have plummeted and his socialist agenda lost the Independent middle voting block. Obama will face a primary challenge if he keeps up his antics.  Following a disastrous Democrat midterm that will represent a complete rejection of Obamaism, what reason would Democrats have to follow him?

Barack Obama has squandered his political capital and trust of the American people in less than 1 – 1/2 years. This President not only has failed to show leadership, he has gone against the will of the people at ever turn. Look for many more Democrats to jump ship where the only ones remaining will be the Obama true believers.

Gettin’ out while the gettin’ is good!

A little off topic but, How about we make history again and elect this american to the office. She hasn’t mentioned wanting to but maybe we can talk her into running independent. The dems are shunning her for her american views.

Notice that SAVING FACE for Zero’s administration is MORE important than the fact everyone knows nothing is getting done? Nice. Very, very nice.

Yes, he too will leave with the rest of the Dems who are not re-elected to their “positions of honor” ;>) Except I believe Mr. Emanual will be happy to be getting the hell out of there…unlike those who will lose seats, votes, kick-backs from under-the-table deals. Oh, what the OUTgoing Dems will be giving up.

Hmm. can’t be anything with the Blago trial here in Chicago can it? Or do we call this damage control, since most of us know Rahm was running the show and Obama was the puppet? Either way, good riddens and don’t let the door…….

All I have to say: Rahm recognizes his Miracle Man status: the “yes we can” group is now teaching “rats how to swim” as the critters jump ship in the BP Oil Mess! Watch them float away with Rahm himself, hehehehehe.

Hillary won’t jump ship, unless she runs against him in a primary challenge.

Hmnnnnnnnnnn….wasn’t Rahm the big, young, brilliant, powerful “Mastermind” and “Star Performer” behind THE OBAMAMESSIAH??? Barry’s Golden Boy is already tarnished.

Mr. Emmanuel is 2 years into the job, already experiencing disagreements with the Boss Man, sever burn out and missing his young family at home?

Oh, well. Time to bail out while there is still a bucket on board, Rahm ‘cuz the ship you chose to sail on is steadily sinking.

Wake us all up when it’s 2012, Thanks.
