Bill Maher, Don’t Quit Your HBO Leftist Hate Day Job … Maher Schooled by George Will on ABC’s “This Week”

PRICELESS … MAHER SPEECHLESS AFTER BEING CONFRONTED WITH FACTS …

Talk about getting schooled. Far Leftists Bill Maher might want to think again the next time he is asked to be a guest on ABC’s “This Week” or any Sunday talk show when the other individuals on the panel have the facts.

George Will completed embarrassed Maher with the facts of Brazil and their present day dependence on oil and production of it. For the LEFT, they are of the belief if they hear a fabrication of the truth and then continuously repeat the same fabrication, that some how the lie becomes the truth.

Thanks to Will for reminding Maher that far be it that the facts get in the way of a good story. The following question was asked and Maher was made to look like a fool.

“Could you just explain to me in what sense Brazil got off oil?”

Hat Tip: The Hope for America

Maher says that the Far LEFT, there is no party that represents our point of view. I guess we can be thankful for that.

Let this be a lesson to far Leftists like Maher and his ilk, do not try the Sunday talk shows, they are trained, educated professionals.

I am so glad that George called this silly idiot on the facts. He is so far left and such a hate monger that I am suprised that anyone would let him come on a Sunday show.

    3. Scott on May 3rd, 2010 12:00 pm

It’s amazing to me that they even put a guy like this on Sunday talk shows. This idiot is a little midget with Napoleon’s complex who thinks he’s smarter than the rest of us.

What are his credentials or his claim to fame except some lame HBO show and his failed attempt of a movie?

      This guy is a clown!

Good for someone to put this pillow biter on his knees where he belongs!

How can anyone take Bill Maher seriously? And how – in his wildest dreams – could he think for a second that he could hold his own with George Will? Talk about your mismatches! George Will is an intellectual giant and a man above reproach. Maher is a joke. He’s one of the few people whose mention or image on the TV will cause my remote-finger to twitch uncontrollably.

The real value (if any) of Maher is the fact
that one can laugh AT him.

Oh Snap!!!! He really told him. Was this really worth the trouble of posting?

[...] Yet another dissatisfied Bill Maher shopper. Micky Edwards from The Atlantic is some what late to the game in discovering Maher; however, is non too impressed with the so-called “funny & witty” Maher.  Wow, this is going to leave a mark. Yes, I know I’m retro, but until this weekend I had never seen nor heard the apparently quite famous Bill Maher.  That oversight has now been remedied thanks to some seriously brilliant producers at ABC television who were insightful enough to book Mr. Maher as a participant in the roundtable political discussion on “This Week.” [...]

Sorry, accidently deleted one of the negative comments from the LEFT reharding this is not a story.

      Oh contrare mon freer.

You will note in the above link from an Atlantic Monthly writer, they were non to impressed with Maher either.

Actually it speaks to a larger issue of why this idiot was even booked on a political pundit show in the first place. It was ABC’s effort to make a clown like Maher mainsteam.

      Maher was smoked.

For you on the LEFT, i don’t expect you to agree when the facts get in the way of good Leftist BS. Why would we.

You deleted my comment…and it was not negative…it just said LAME.
I’m not standing up for the guy…but he was not schooled…IMO
      _________
SM, Wolf … read the comment above. As stated it was accidentally deleted. Sorry, but Maher was schooled. When confronted, the big mouthed, never at a loss for words, was at a loss for words.

A comment that he espoused as the truth became … oh, that’s what I thought.

Maher had no business being on This Week and frankly the producers of the show should be ashamed. Who will they book next, Carrot Top?

He was schooled liberal leftist puke!

Liberals never bring logic or common sense to the table which is why they rarely win any argument with a conservative on almost everything across the board.

The midget showed his true liberal colors; as they all do; as insane and out of touch with REAL America!

    11. Wisconsin Resident on May 5th, 2010 12:46 am

Hard to imagine what Maher had on his mind when he said that. Clearly not accurate.

Funny thing, though; I don’t know how you cold have missed Will getting the “birds killed by turbines” so incredibly wrong. When you research the issues from what was said on the show, where is your smack-down for dear George? I mean, come on; it was the statement just before he asked Maher about Brazil and Oil. It was impossible to miss! True, that nobody called George on it, but why let that stop you.

Also, dear George tried to equate being asked for an ID while entering a government building with the whole stupid “reasonable suspicion” crap in the AZ law. Not at all alike. Guess what happened next; Sharpton schooled Will and called him on the obvious differences. Zap!

How can you write a post on Will schooling someone, and ignore his own directly related comments as well as his getting schooled himself.

I thought the table was having a nice free-for-all, with points being scored for both “sides”.

      WR

ps – mention of facts has been prominent in the post and comments; I wonder if that trend will continue after this reply. Hmmm, just have to wait and see if the hypocrisy beast rears its ugly head.

SM: Sorry dude, federal law states that an individual with a green card is to have said green card on them at all time. When you are stopped by the police for a traffic violation, do they not ask you for your drivers license? When you commit an offense, police ask you for your ID. What’s the difference?

Oh, I get it … if you are doing something wrong like being in the country illegally, its a bad thing.

As for Sharpton, please. A 5th grader could school that race baitor.

Bill tries to portray himself as an intellectual thinker that would create a utopia if others would follow his ideas, but he is very irresponsible for his continued support of legalized marijuana and the idea that fun comes from, first and foremost, being high…an idea where he is obviously immature in his analysis of life and even suppressive to others when you recognize the pain brought into our lives by untreated addiction. Go to my site and you will see a more real picture of the consequences of marijuana from someone that is a licensed alcohol and drug counselor, a progressive, but someone that doesn’t spill out facts that are False.
George Will needs to continue to correct Bill’s gaps in knowledge. He is one of those liberals that thinks everything done by other countries is better.
I assume that the market share of viewers has gone up if they are going to continue to have Bill on their panel.
He may have smoked one too many joints.

    13. Wisconsin Resident on May 5th, 2010 10:14 am

SM – What part of your comments have anything to do with what I said? Your example has nothing to do with “reasonable suspicion” or the AZ law. Care to explain where I might be wrong in thinking this way?

Can you speak to the Birds vs Turbines point? Are you avoiding a difficult question that you have no legitimate response for?

Can you refute what Sharpton said to Will and not rely on an ad hominem response? I wasn’t defending a mans entire life, just what he said in this context. I presumed you’d be able to comprehend that.

      WR

ps – still waiting for pertinent facts on the conversation, not deflection into new, unspoken topics.

For the record, I take your example at face value and will agree that it is consistent that when one is observed to violate a law or statute, they are asked for an ID, and need to comply.

However, a person’s mere existence and being in the presence of an officer is not a violation of anything. There is no probable cause that anything illegal is evident.
      ____________
SM: The law states as follows:
      http://thecrimereport.org/2010/05/01/arizona-amends-immigration-law-to-prohibit-racial-profiling/

The latest measure bars race from being considered when deciding whether to inquire about a person’s status, “except to the extent permitted by the United States or Arizona Constitution.” It also clarifies that law-enforcement officers shall inquire about the immigration status only of those they “stop, detain or arrest.” The earlier bill simply said “contact.” The change is designed to allay fears that officers would have to examine the papers of anyone they spoke to, including crime victims and witnesses.

As for what Sharpton said, Please. He is a friggin idiot who thrives on this crap like the parasite that he is. Sharpton is worse than a biggot or a racist, he makes $’s off people being at each others throats. He and Jackson are some of the lowest forms of human existence that we have on this planet.

I would never comment on the vile rantings that come from Sharptons mouth. Maybe he would like to perpetrate another fraud on all of us like Tawana? Oh, he already is.

    14. Wisconsin Resident on May 5th, 2010 12:34 pm

SM – Thanks for the recent law quotes and links; now if only there was a clear understanding if what “stop, detain or arrest” actually means. Arrest is clear, but under what circumstances can a “stop” or “detention” occur? Perhaps time will tell.

Birds vs Turbines???????? Too chicken to admit that Will was blowing gas out his a$$ on that statistic? What happened to this obsession with “facts”? You’ve mentioned them 6 times already, yet they seem to scare you now. Unless you can turn yourself around, I guess we’ll just have to declare you a genuine hypocrite.

Ah yes; that leaves us Will and his govt building entry ID check story. Lacking evidence to the contrary, you obviously must agree with his idiotic comparison of that example to AZ law. And that makes YOU the friggin idiot.
