OBAMA … OH MY, Gallup Job Approval Rating At All Time Low

Obama’s poll numbers sinking as his monolithic obsession continues on Obamacare reform. This will cost Democrats dearly in 2010.

The Obama Presidency is coming a part at the seems. According to the most recent Gallup poll, Barack Hussein Obama has hit an all time low job approval rating at 46%. Just one year ago, Obama had a 63% approval rating in the Gallup poll. My how The One has fallen.

Is it any wonder why House Democrats are starting to balk at voting for Obamacare and Pelosi cannot find the votes to pass Obama’s signature piece of legislation. What Democrat is going to lay their political career on the line for a President with a 46% approval rating and trending downward?

The Rasmussen Report has Obama at a 44% job approval rating.

What might be more stunning is many Democrats unwillingness to listen to the polls. As the Washington Post wrote today, “If Democrats ignore health-care polls, midterms will be costly.” Democrats, especially Obama have themselves convinced that the public supports their health care polices in the face of opposition at every corner.

First, the battle for public opinion has been lost. Comprehensive health care has been lost. If it fails, as appears possible, Democrats will face the brunt of the electorate’s reaction. If it passes, however, Democrats will face a far greater calamitous reaction at the polls. Wishing, praying or pretending will not change these outcomes.

Nothing has been more disconcerting than to watch Democratic politicians and their media supporters deceive themselves into believing that the public favors the Democrats’ current health-care plan. Yes, most Americans believe, as we do, that real health-care reform is needed. And yes, certain proposals in the plan are supported by the public.

  • The former congressman’s interviews are diving into tabloid territory. NO MORE airtime for Massa. This story is a non-story except for the fact as to why House Democrat leadership did not investigate the allegations when they were informed.

Harry Reid’s Wife Landra & Daughter Lana Seriously Injured in Car Accident in Fairfax, VA

There is no politics in this story regarding Harry Reid and his family … say a prayer for the Reid family this evening.

Our prayers and best wishes go out to Democrat Senate Majority leader Harry Reid and his family following the car accident in Fairfax, VA that left his wife Landra and daughter Lana seriously injured. Reid’s wife Landra and daughter Lana were rear-ended by a semi-truck on a on an interstate highway in suburban Virginia.

According to reports, their injuries are serious but not life threatening. Landra Reid has a broken nose, broken back and broken neck while daughter Lana has a neck injury and facial lacerations.

Harry Reid’s wife, Landra, suffered a broken neck, back and nose and his daughter, Lana, also sustained serious injuries in a chain-reaction car accident in Fairfax, Va. on Thursday  according to Reid’s spokesman.

Both women’s injuries are considered serious but not life-threatening — and both have sensation in their extremities, an indication that they aren’t paralyzed, Reid spokesman Jon Summers said.

Reid’s wife is listed in serious condition and will stay in the hospital, but his daughter will be released. The initial prognosis for Reid’s wife is that no surgery will be required, Summer said.

I would echo The Other McCain’s comments regarding accidents like this put like into perspective and bring out one of our greatest qualities … humanity. We can disagree with one’s politics and want to retire them back to Nevada; however, we should always wish well and pray for those hurt, injured or in harms way … no matter what the politics.

This is the sort of tragedy that can befall any family, and it’s an opportunity to recall the humanity of even those with whom we might differ in other contexts. Let’s keep the comments classy, folks.

Obama Administration Ran Up Largest Monthly Budget Deficit in February in History

More “Hope and Change” … Thank you Mr. President.  Your policies are not the solutions to our economic problems, they are our problems.

For February, 2010 Barack Obama’s government ran up the largest monthly budget defict in history. THAT IS CORRECT, IN HISTORY!!!

The Treasury Department stated that the February deficit totaled $220.9 billion, 14% higher than the previous record set in February of last year. For the year in the first five months of this budget totals deficits are $651.6 billion or 10.5% higher than a year ago. Obama has the audacity to say that this spending was necessary to hold unemployment at 8%, yet we find it presently at 9.7%.

The government ran up the largest monthly deficit in history in February, keeping the flood of red ink on track to top last year’s record for the full year.

The Treasury Department said Wednesday that the February deficit totaled $220.9 billion, 14 percent higher than the previous record set in February of last year.
