12 year old Kayleah Wilson has been missing since Sunday, March 28, 2010 in Greely, CO. She was last seen when she left her home Sunday afternoon to go to her friend’s birthday party when she disappeared. Kayleah Wilson never arrived at the party.

Kayleah Wilson left her Greeley home Sunday afternoon to go to her friend’s birthday party. Kayleah did not show up to the pick-up location and hasn’t been seen since.
“We don’t know what could have happened. We’ve talked to her friends at school and we’ve been sending out fliers. Nobody’s seen her,” her mother April Wilson told the Greeley Tribune.
Greeley authorities have not said at this point that the 12-year-old girl has been abducted.
“At this point there has been no information or evidence developed to indicate she would run away. There is also no evidence of foul play,” Greeley police spokesman Sgt. Joe Tymkowych told the Greeley Tribune.
The middle school student is 5-foot-1, weighs 145 pounds and has brown hair and blue eyes. Authorities say Kayleah has asthma and was believed to be carrying an inhaler. She doesn’t have a cell phone.

UPDATE I: FBI Involved In Search For Missing Greeley Girl
The police spokesperson said while more than 20 officers and investigators, as well as FBI agents, are looking for Kayleah, this search doesn’t qualify for an AMBER Alert through the Colorado Bureau of Investigation.
“The criteria is pretty specific: needs to be a child that has been abducted and is in immediate danger of serious bodily injury or death. We can’t prove or even point to any of that at this time,” said Sgt. Joe Tymkowich, spokesperson for Greeley police. “At this point all we know is she’s disappeared.”

My husband thinks my sister “babies” her children because they go NO where without her escort….I mean like 2 houses down even. Oldest is 11 and seeing this article, my sis is right and hubby is wrong. No longer a safe world anywhere.
oh, and sis home schools all 3 which is nice. She’s was a teacher 7 yrs before having the 1st, so she’s qualified

Our country, because of political correctness, has regressed to a primative state where predators/stalkers prey on young children and young women every day.
This young child was abducted. Few twelve year olds run away. The law in Colorado needs to be changed regarding Amber Alerts. Every minute counts towards finding the child.
I am sorry that our children cannot know the freedom that I had as a child. We could play throughout the neighborhood without fear because our culture did not allow shady looking individuals to enter the area uncontested.
I can remember a group of gypsies coming into the area and camping on a nearby tract of undeveloped land. The neighbors all nothifed each other and the children were not allowed outside without supervision until law enforcement cleared them out.
To think that a parent would let a twelve to twenty something female go stand at a pickup point alone in todays environment is like sticking one’s head in the sand concening potential danger.

Nancy Grace Show on 04/02/2010 reported 141 sex offenders in a four mile radius live near Kayleah Wilson home. GOOD GRIEF! She had a 17 year old boyfriend.
I would like to know why the police GPD of Greeley waited so long to go national with the missing story. I mean she has been missing since Sunday and now its Friday and this is the first it is on CNN as Breaking news.
For all the times we hear kids go missing, PARENTS need to “stop” letting their children walk alone! Even in broad day light!! I agree that this story should have been aired “right away”! For drivers to even remember “last sunday” is hard to even think about. I think whats wrong in todays society is to know, that most people always think this couldn’t happen in their own family which is why they allow their kids to walk alone!! THIS DOESN’T JUST HAPPEN IN THE NEWS PEOPLE, WHEN IT HITS YOUR HOME IT HITS HARD AND BY THAT TIME, ITS USUALLY TOO LATE!! Anyone who reads this who has minor children, do NOT let them walk “anywhere” alone! Its sad but its the way of the world right now. I pray for Kayleah and her family.. Its been on HLN for a few days. I am a mom and my children go NO WHERE with out me or my husband. I hate seeing kids walking by them selves…its so sad that we have to live so awqre that someone could take our kids at any moment if we arent right there with them. i walk my kids to school and am there to pick them up before the bell rings. I hope they find her and she just ran away with a boyfriend or something (they had mentioned yesterday she did have an older boyfriend but Im not sure if that was true). Praying for all these children. And yeah haylee Kayleah, Caylee they are all VERY popular names, my son has 3 Haylees in his class

I’m hoping they are checking out April Wilson’s friends with her online accounts. Kayleah’s mom is a single parent and I just wouldn’t trust any “guy” friends she has seeing how her daughter is missing. If April made mention that her daughter was walking to a birthday party on a certain day, weirdo kinda people take notice of something like that. I had seen on one of April’s accounts she is friends with a guy from out of the country. Top on her friends list. Not pointing fingers but I do hope all is checked into.
What about the dad? I saw him on the news and it sure looked like he was trying to work up some tears…..with no success???? Kind of strange.

From Greeley, Co. Had a friend who lived in the same appts….. can you believe they never questioned the neighbors. Thats where the truth is. She lived in the projects and most who are from know its a nosey environment. The neighbors knew more of her business than anyone bothered to ask?
