Matthew J. Wilson Missing Since December 2007 Found Safe on CAL Berkeley campus … “He Wanted to Disappear”

The breaking news is extremely good; however,  a little strange in the case of missing Matthew Wilson.  After nearly eight months missing, Matthew Wilson has been found safe on the campus of the University of California at Berkeley. According to reports, “He wanted to disappear,”

   I’m glad to hear he was found alive. This is one of those adult white male stories that gets little follow up, and if it wasn’t for SM, I would have missed it. I agree that the time and money spent looking for him is an issue. Since it’s not illegal for an adult to run away, I don’t know how that issue gets resolved. He certainly owes his family and friends a huge apology.

   I sure hope Rice University will let him back in with his scholarship.

   But maybe he would do better at a more liberal school where they understand people with their cookies half baked.
