President Obama Threatens to Not Support Democrats Who Vote Against Obamacare

Is this a threat or a promise Mr. President?

President Barack Obama has threatened Democrats that he will not campaign or help raise money for any Democrats who vote against Obamacare. How is that “Hopey, Changey” thing working out for you Democrats? Talk about your great bills for “We the People”, Obama has to bribe and threaten Congress for its support.

obama_godfather

So what Democrat with receive a fish in a box or a horse head in their bed?

The president will refuse to make fund-raising visits during November elections to any district whose representative has not backed the bill.

A one-night presidential appearance can bring in hundreds of thousands of dollars in funds which would otherwise take months to accumulate through cold-calling by campaign volunteers.

Mr Obama’s threat came as the year-long debate over his signature domestic policy entered its final week.

Mr Obama is personally telephoning congressmen who are still on the fence this week, in between several personal appearances devoted toward swinging public opinion.

This from the President who campaigned on the notion that he would change the way DC conducted business. Obama stated that he would act in a bipartisan manner and reach across the aisle to Republicans. Instead, Obama threatens members of his own party.

One would have to ask them self if it may not be a benefit to have Obama stay away from their Senate or House race in 2010. Just ask former governor John Corzine in NJ, Creigh Deeds in VA and Martha Coakley in MA, all who went down to terrible defeats as Obama campaigned for them. Face it, Obama’s poll numbers are tanking and are presently in the mid-40′s. There is opposition in every poll to Obamacare. The smart play for Democrats may be to vote against Obamacare and distance them self from the President. Not because it is the smart political play, but because it is the will of the people.

Here’s the thing: What good would any of this do? To preserve your seat in an anti-incumbent, anti-Washington, anti-big government year, you have to distance yourself from Obama and the national Democrats anyway — which is why you want to vote No in the first place!

The Obama WH has put deadline after deadline in place to pass Obamacare, all have been ignored by Congress. Let us not forget that Obama wanted this health care government take over sign, sealed and delivered before the last August break in 2009. The way it appears now the vote may take place after the Easter recess.

Obama has always asked for bipartisanship in Washington, DC. Now that he has it Obama brings out his Chicago-style politics of threats. There is bipartisan support against Obamacare. There are Democrats that do not support this bill yet The One insists they vote yea for it either by hook, crook, bribe or threat.  As The NRO states, just how many Democrats will there be this coming 2010 midterm election that hope that Obama stays away from their district?

Obama threatens to not campaign for the Dems not voting his way? If I were them, my response would be, “Mr. President, can I get that in writing?”

Yesterday, state treasurer and gov-wannabe Tim Cahill burned his last bridge with the Left by attacking our local version of ObamaCare:

Massachusetts State Treasurer Timothy P. Cahill, an independent candidate for governor making a play for fiscally conservative voters, said yesterday that the state’s universal health care law is bankrupting Massachusetts and will do the same nationally if Congress passes a similar plan.

“If President Obama and the Democrats repeat the mistake of the health insurance reform here in Massachusetts on a national level, they will threaten to wipe out the American economy within four years,’’ Cahill said at a press conference.

What did he get for pointing out (OK, perhaps slightly overstating) the obvious? Attacked by the Boston Globe-Democrat, of course.

Now MA legislators are talking about emergency price controls (remember gas lines in the ‘70s? Me, neither—but I’ve seen the pictures) on payments to your doctor and your hospital.

Senator Richard Moore, an Uxbridge Democrat who is Senate chairman of the health care financing committee, said the Senate is committed to passing long-term solutions to control costs.

Last year, a state commission proposed radical changes to the way providers are paid, with the goal of slowing the rise in the use of medical services. It urged scrapping the current fee-for-service system and paying providers a per-patient annual fee, called a global payment, to cover all of a patient’s medical care…

Moore has filed a bill proposing to cap payments to hospitals and doctors at 110 percent of what the federal Medicare program pays for medical care.

So if it costs your doctor $200 to treat you, but federal Medicare only pays $150, is he going to take you as a patient and lose money? Or is he going to drop you and take another patient he can make money on? Or just leave Massachusetts altogether?

It’s a crummy situation for you and your doctor, —and the doctors know it, too: 46 percent of primary-care doctors say they will be forced out of business or will want to get out if ObamaCare goes national.

Which explains, once again, why Obama never uses the “M” word when pushing his health care plan.

Well you have to admit, Obama has indeed changed the way DC conducts business. Now it’s down with backroom deals like Gator Aide, The Corkhusker Kickback and The Louisiana Purchase – and with open threats from the President of the United States who also openly lies and attacks the people he was elected to serve.

As far as the rest of the statement: well remember, DC thinks We the People don’t care about the process.

    5. Scott on March 17th, 2010 9:59 am

Obama is a bitter bitter and angry person and just like many many liberals feel like they have some sort of ax to grind…

Those Dems are probably jumping up and down in there seats. When this passes, he is done for in 2012! There will be NO CHANCE he wins re-election.

The American people see the games and tricks they (the liberals pukes) are playing with this WIDELY UNPOPULAR bill!

Kucinich is a coward. He was promised some sort fo kickback, right up Obama’s alley.

Chicago style politics in the White House. Never thought I see this in my lifetime. He is so arrogant. He needs that smirk knocked of his lying facing.

Just this weekend, I visited my mom & dad and thank God they finally admitted to me that they made a mistake voting for Obama. They do not want this healthcare takeover either. They have always been democrats, thinks Bush is the worse President ever, but at least they realize what a big mistake voting for Obama was. There is still hope for them yet.

    7. Miss-Underestimated on March 17th, 2010 11:12 am

Michelle, lots of people feel that they have made a grave mistake voting for Obamaa. I have always contended it was not a vote for Obama but a vote against Bush. Miss him Yet?

Obama threatening, an expression of intention to inflict pain, injury, evil or punishment. An indication of impending and imminent danger of harm, a menance. A person that is regarded as dangerous or likely to inflict misery. Obama’s head may be on the terrorist’s chopping block if he doesn’t stay on the path to destroy America. It will be like the Great Flood of 1932 with Kenyan’s and others entering our country for Free healthcare, it’s personal invitation from Obama.

Just what did happen, Kucinich said he would rather go to jail than vote for Obamacare. His loyalty was to the people that voted him into office with the promise of supporting their well-being….why put Kunicich on the Air Force One….did Obama threaten him to vote his way or be thrown off the aircraft. This has to be the most corrupt form of politics that ever existed…It’s terrorism…!!!!!

Join Rush Lumbaugh at the Lincoln Memorial on August 28th, 2010….Obama can give us no real proof that he is a citizen…the two named hospitals in Hawaii say , “he wasn’t born here”. No change of name documents, no immigration papers and the certificate of birth could be filed by anyone in 1961. All of his documents in the US have been sealed and they should not be…We need to protect America and Our Constitution…!!!

Obama being openly against any democrat right now may be about the only thing that will help them save their place in office next election!

    10. J.Jay on March 17th, 2010 1:29 pm

Lol. I dont want to know what kinds of thumbscrews Bush used in his day. This is just a little peer pressure. Necessary, because democrats have no balls.

Bush wasn’t trying to take over healthcare. Bush didn’t force a war on us, he actually listened to what the majority of Americans wanted.

What Obama is doing is total Marxism. He’s a bully, using Chicago style tactics to get what he wants. He works for US. This is not about what he wants, it’s about what WE want.

Bush wasn’t the greatest President that ever lived but he did care about his Country and he did listen to what the people wanted.

You certainly didn’t hear anything that even resembles what Obama is doing.

There is nothing funny about his thuggery. How would you like to be threatened for disagreeing with the posters on this blog? He’s threatening people for crying out loud. That is now how our government is supposed to handle disagreements.

What is it going to take for him to realize that this is not in the best interest of “the people”?

Bush was a lot of things but at least he cared about the best interest of this Country.

Obama only cares about complete government control. Sounds more like a dictatorship than a democracy.

How would it make you feel if Bush tried bullying & threatening?

      Hypocrite

    13. Miss-Underestimated on March 17th, 2010 2:12 pm

JJay peer pressure. How do you like the fact that the Majority that vote Obamama in are totally against him and this bill???

your daddy is about to have his a$$ a herd lesson on tring ot act like a president of this country when he is actually an liiegal alien from Kenyanisthan.

#12; He bullied, he treatened, he tortured, he lied, he let himself be bought by lobbies.
Come on teabaggers and bushhuggers… even his party stabbed him in the back. I know memory gets clouded quickly and we look back, misty eyed, going “those were the days…”. But even your memory must be better than that…

      And Dave: I love you.

    17. super dave on March 18th, 2010 2:42 pm

there’s two or three daves here junior and i don’t do man love like you liberals.
just think, after 2012, no more obama and no more sucko crat majorities. sorry junior, but anything your daddy does will be repealed soon enough.

Who did he torture, who did he threaten, who did he bully? Oh, do you mean the terrorists? Who cares about the terrorists? What did he lie about exactly? Please stop with the teabagger comments, you sound like a fool. My memory is not clouded, and I don’t recall ever saying that Bush was perfect, that he didn’t make mistakes but he did not go against the will of the people. He did not try to take complete control of every aspect of our lives.

What he did was in the best interest of protecting the citizens of this country.

Surely even you can understand the difference between fighting terrorist and government take over of our healthcare, the banking industry, the auto industry. All the things that the government should keep their noses out of.

The job of the government is to protect us from enemies, foreign & domestic and secure our liberties, not control our lives. It is not the job or duty of the government to provide houses, cars and healthcare for every citizen legal or illegal. It’s not an entitlement it’s a privilege.
