Fantastic … Republican Response to SOTU from VA Governor Bob Mc Donnell

After listening to President Barack Obama ramble in a tone deaf, disjointed and disingenuous State of the Union speech, along came the Republican response for newly elected Virginia Governor Bob Mc Donnell.

Listening to the truly remarkable speech from Gov. Bob Mc Donnell makes you wonder who was the President? Mc Donnell is a star in the making.  Gov. Bob Mc Donnell brought up the following issue on terrorism that Barack Obama seemed fit to not even address in the State of the Union:

Americans were shocked on Christmas Day to learn of the attempted bombing of a flight to Detroit. This foreign terror suspect was given the same legal rights as a U.S. citizen, and immediately stopped providing critical intelligence.

As Senator-elect Scott Brown says, we should be spending taxpayer dollars to defeat terrorists, not to protect them.

Delivering the speech from the historic House Chamber of Virginia’s Capitol, in front of family, friends and colleagues was brilliant. Mc Donnell pointed out some of the policies that Republicans agree wth and the ones that they certainly disagree with as well.

The full text of Mc Donnell’s speech can be read HERE.

Good government policy should spur economic growth, and strengthen the private sector’s ability to create new jobs.

We must enact policies that promote entrepreneurship and innovation, so America can better compete with the world.

What government should not do is pile on more taxation, regulation, and litigation that kill jobs and hurt the middle class.

It was Thomas Jefferson who called for “A wise and frugal Government which shall leave men free to regulate their own pursuits of industry ….and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned…” He was right.

Today, the federal government is simply trying to do too much.

Last year, we were told that massive new federal spending would create more jobs ‘immediately’ and hold unemployment below 8%.

n the past year, over three million Americans have lost their jobs, yet the Democratic Congress continues deficit spending, adding to the bureaucracy, and increasing the national debt on our children and grandchildren. (snip)

As pointed out by The Gateway Pundit, it was a real classy move when Governor Bob McDonnell not only thanked the US military but thanked his oldest daughter Jeanine for serving in Iraq.

Yep, this country is not great because the ‘Government’
thought up a bunch of ‘jobs’ and an artificial pay scale
to put the People to work. This country is great because
the incentive to earn as much as possible (market will
bear) by creating and supplying competitive products
that the rest of the People need and want is the basis
      for excellence!

      Gov. McDonnell,

I salute you for giving a response that was short, sweet, and to the point. I know you could have gone into more detail, but alas time would not permit a total dissection and post mortem of the errors and false hoods in one small speech.

However, wait until tomorrow as Sarah Palin said after the speech is digested and reviewed. There will be a complete and thorough analysis of what President Obama said and it will not be a pretty site for him or the Democrats.

[...] learn from Democrat Gov. Corzine’s loss in New Jersey. Obama did not heed the warning from Virginia where Republican Bob Mc Donnell won in a landslide. After watching last night’s rather lame speech Barack Hussein Obama did not learn from [...]

What? You’re calling him the future President? What about Precious Palin you all so dearly love?
I do like him better than her though. Except for he’s full of b.s too. Listening to him talking trash about giving the failed Christmas bomber a right to a trial here in the U.S…did he forget about Richard Reid???

Yeah…he’s full of bs…riiight… I was expect another blind liberal to not see that they are in the minority. The majority of Americans do not want larger government NOR a President lecturing us…The only one spewing BS is Obama himself, and Americans can see through it. Sounded like another campaign speech to me with the same rhetoric and the same lack of action….

i love this man. i also love sarah palin. we are now seeing the great americans stepping up. now we just have to hope obumer doesn’t mess the USA up too much before we can get him and his ilk out of the white house.

be at the polls this november and vote out the democrats, every one of them and be ever deligent for voter fraud. the democrats all vote the same way obama wants them to vote, even if it means the USA going over the cliff.
