Early Vote Counting in VA Governors Race: Republican Bob McDonnell Up Big Over Democrat R. Creigh Deeds

Early voting results are in Virginia, it looks like it will be an early night in the Commonwealth of Virginia as Republican Bob McDonnell has a huge lead over Democrat R. Creigh Deeds. The voting is breaking about 2 to 1 for Mc Donnell.

Republican Bob McDonnell was up in the last polls prior to the election by double digits, it looks like he may win by an even greater number. The exit polling in Virginia according to CNN states, it all about the economy.

Watch the CNN political ticker for up to date results.

With only 4% of the precincts reporting, it’s obviously too early to call this race. However, in all seriousness, stick a fork in the Democrat Creigh Deeds, he’s done. Scared Monkeys will call this one, Mc Donnell will win big. There will be no recount in VA.

UPDATE I: Fox News call race for Republican Bob Mc Donnell

Mc Donell wins … Mc Donnell wins!!!

As Michelle Malkin states, I guess this VA Governors race landslide win for Mc Donnell is one of those results that means nothing.

UPDATE II: Barack Obama Not Watching Election Results

It is being reported by CNN, that according to aides Barack Obama is not planning on watching the election results tonight. If the VA Governors race is any example of how the evening will play out, is it any wonder? Glad to see the team player watches other fellow Democrats results. Guess he does not seem to care if they are not his own election results.

Obama is more likely to watch Tuesday night’s Chicago Bulls game than any political coverage, according to Axelrod.

The president’s senior staff have also decided not to hold a watch party to keep an eye on election returns as they come in.

UPDATE III: Looks like Republicans will have Clean Sweep in VA elections.

RUT-ROH … The Gig is Up

Barack Obama won Virginia a year ago by 6% points. Tonight, Bob McDonnell is poised to win by 20% points, a 26% point swing.
