So Why Did CNN Stop US Rep Peter King (NY-R) from Naming Plane Terrorist, Abdul Mudallad

So why did CNN host Ali Velshi, not once but twice, prevent NY US Representative Peter King from saying the name of the terrorist who tried to set off an explosive aboard a Northwest Airline plane?

CNN’s Ali Velshi on Friday stopped Rep. Peter King (R-N.Y.) from divulging the name of the terrorist who tried to set off a bomb as a Northwest Airlines flight from Amsterdam began to land in Detroit.

Velshi did this claiming, “[W]e have not got any information on anyone being charged. So thank you for bringing us information. But would ask you not to name anybody on TV right now, we do not have any word of official charges.”

By this time, other news outlets including the Associated Press, CBS, and Fox News had given the suspect’s name, Abdul Mudallad.

REP. PETER KING (R), NEW YORK (via telephone): Basically the person’s name. I understand he’s a 23-year-old Nigerian who boarded the flight in Nigeria, his name is Abdulmattal (ph)…

VELSHI: Representative King, I’ve got to tell you, we have not got any information on anyone being charged. So thank you for bringing us information. But would ask you not to name anybody on TV right now, we do not have any word of official charges. Let me know what else you know other than the identity of the person who may be charged.

UPDATE I: But that had no issue getting these exclusive pics of terrorist on TV:

It has to be that Ali Velshi is appeasing Islam.

Since when are names of persons of interest not released until formal charges are filed.

When you are no longer a free press, you have to have clearance from our muslim president in order to talk about who was the perp.
We are seeing more and more evidence that Barry is protecting all the crooks and thugs and terrorists that he is using to bring change to our country.
Political correctness at work. Don’t hurt their feelings.

CNN has been Al-Jazeera West for a very long time.

      That is why they suck.

That is why they have such terribly embarrassing LOW RATINGS.

Anderson Cooper would have serious trouble going up against a George & Weezy Jefferson re-run.

They continue to eek by on the reputation that they used to have.

They try to ENGINEER the news like a conductor controls an orchestra.

James Earl Jones should record new tag lines that say:

      This USED TO BE… CNN.

The following article is a must read.

Americans are at risk. Canadians are at risk. Politically correct government policies passed by the democratic nations of the free world are not protecting citizens from terrorist.

What is it going to take for the realization to set in.

If this guy was going to be allowed entry to the US following the heads up … why were the red flags that implied a security risk not enough to have him and his luggage scrutinized prior to boarding that airline.

278 passengers were thisclose to losing their lives on Christmas Day 2009. They deserved better protection from higher ups.

Source: Father of suspect in foiled attack had relayed concerns to U.S. Embassy
      December 26, 2009 7:43 p.m. EST

(CNN) — The father of a man suspected of trying to bring down a Northwest Airlines jet recently contacted the U.S. Embassy in Nigeria about concerns that his son had “become radicalized” and could be planning something, a family source told CNN Saturday. ….

A preliminary FBI analysis found that the device contained PETN, also known as pentaerythritol, a high explosive. In addition, FBI agents recovered what appear to be the remnants of the syringe from the vicinity of Abdulmutallab’s seat, believed to have been part of the device.

Its becoming a bad joke, that only another really bad attack may solve. I was at Frankfurt airport, another terrorist haven, and this asshole was in front of me holding up the line. I wont go into the details, but his passport was BS, had multiple, different signatures that they were questioning, etc. Anyway, security came pulled him away and I thought that was it. Three hours later, he walks into the plane I was sitting on going into the US. They SUCK in Europe.
