AMBER ALERT Issued for Missing One Month Old Baby Boy Angel Miguel Perez in North Charleston, South Carolina

 

An AMBER ALERT has been issued by the South Carolina State Law Enforcement Division for 1 month old baby boy Angel Miguel Perez. The one month old boy was taken from a vehicle parked at a post office on 6401 Rivers Avenue in North Charleston. The boy was last seen at approximately 5:00 pm on November 23, 2009. Police are stating that they are seeking an unknown woman kidnapped the child and was last seen traveling with the boy in her car.

  • Age:  1MO

  • Gender:  Male   
  • Description:  The child’s date of birth is 10/17/2009. The child was last seen wearing a blue shirt, blue pants, white shoes, and a blue hat.

According to North Charleston Police spokesman Spencer Pryor said Angel’s mother left the boy in her idling vehicle as she went to drop off mail. When she returned, Angel Miguel Perez was gone.

A witness told police a woman left with the child in a gray, four-door compact vehicle with a spoiler.

The 11-pound infant was wearing a blue shirt, pants and hat.

The suspected abductor is a black female in her mid-20s, about 5-foot-1 and 175 pounds, wearing a blue and white striped shirt.

The suspect was last seen driving a four-door Honda Accord, late model, and gray in color.

Police say she is driving a gray, compact car. Anyone with information is asked to call the North Charleston Police Department at 843-822-1128

UPDATE I: Was the Mother of Infant Angel Miguel Perez Stalked by Kidnapper?

Police in North Charleston, SC are trying to determine whether the mother of missing and kidnapped Angel Miguel Perez was followed by the individual who eventually abducted the infant. The FBI is presently offering a $20,000 reward for information leading to Angel Miguel Perez’s recovery and the identification and arrest of his kidnapper.

UPDATE II: Angel Miguel Perez Found SAFE … 19 year old Woman Kidnapper ARRESTED!!!

One month old Angel Miguel Perez has been found safe at a home in Summerville about 12:30 AM Wednesday. The 19 year old woman who kidnapped Angel is in police custody and has been arrested. Her name has yet to be released. According to reports, the North Charleston and Summerville police went to the home on a tip.

Thankfully, we have a happy ending to an abduction.

      The real question is, why did the baby’s mother leave him unattended while she ran into the post office to begin with??? WTF was she thinking??? This child would be better off in foster care!!
