Mr. Klein would not say whether the settlement CNN had come to with Mr. Dobbs precluded his working for another television news outlet for any period of time. “I can’t really get into the details of any settlement,” he said.Mr. Klein denied that any of the groups that had protested Mr. Dobbs’s occasionally outspoken positions on issues like illegal immigration had influenced the move. Specifically, he denied making any promises to Alex Nogales of the National Hispanic Media Coalition, who met with Mr. Klein last Friday to discuss Mr. Dobbs.
Lou Dobbs headed off to do an interview with BOR and Fox News. Could this be a precursor of Dobbs going to the cable news giant FOX News?

“I have confirmed through independent sources that there were communications and wire transfers made to Pakistan,” McCaul said in a prepared statement provided by his spokesman. “This Pakistan connection just raises more red flags about this case and demonstrates why it’s important for Congress to exercise its oversight authority.” ….

I agree with Dana. Lou Dobbs is one of the few shows I really liked on CNN. If his ratings were dropping, I’d guess it’s because the very large sheepish portion of America heard things they didn’t want to hear. What happened to wanting the media to give facts, good or bad, and wanting pundits to opine? No, just tell us what we want to hear. Keep us happy and clueless and give us someone we don’t like to blame. If Fox wants to hire him and Geraldo wants to leave, let Geraldo leave. Lou will do well at whatever he chooses in the future. The future of CNN is doubtful IMO.
