Barack Obama Has Lost the Midas Touch … NJ & VA Gov Races go Republican … Democrats in Trouble in 2010

Barack Obama gets same result in New Jersey and Virginia Governor races as he did trying to land the Olympics for Chicago … A BIG LOSS, TWO EVEN!

What a difference a year makes! Hey Dems, the Obamamessiah really can’t walk on water.

Obama_Gates

RUT-ROH

The elections last night had nothing to do with me and how I have none nothing but make idle promises about job creation with a faux stimulus bill, yeah, that’s the ticket,

Hey Barack, last nights votes in New Jersey and Virginia were an even greater mandate for CHANGE … and not a vote for your socialism, big government spending change.

Democrats and Barack Obama can spin this all they want as to what happened last night in the off-off year election. The fact of the matter is, it was a terrible night for Democrats and an even worse one for Barack Obama. If any one does not think that there is momentum from “We the People” and anger about what the party in power in DC is doing, you are blind.

Blue Dog Democrats, not only have you been warned in Town Hall meetings, last night you were provided a view of your future if you continue down the path and support Obama’s socialist policies.

We are told that these off year elections are all about local politics. Really? Then why did Barack Obama interject himself into both the Virginia and New Jersey Governor’s races? Down to the wire the Obamamessiah was campaigning for Corzine in New Jersey. To absolutely no avail. Democrat Creigh Deeds was destroyed in a 19 point landslide vote where the election might have been called right as the polls closed. Then in the deep blue state of NJ, Corzine loses by 4% in what some thought would be a close race,

Obama had been looked upon by Democrats as being invincible, untouchable and able to walk on water. As Tuesday night pointed out, the Obamamessiah was not able to even walk on the water that was the Passaic River in NJ.

The Obama invincibility that was so much in evidence then seems to have lost its power. People can argue the reasons why these elections, all in places Obama carried handily, were so close. But if he were the political marvel he was thought to be, these races wouldn’t have been contests, but walkovers. So one consequence of this Election Day is the end of his special political magic.

That’s no surprise — as that magic was a largely substanceless froth whipped up by campaign consultants and compliant big-media cheerleaders.

Democrats, the media and Obama’s minions can spin the election results all they want that none of what happened is a direct reflection on Barack Obama. They would be sorely wrong. The People are angry. Their number one issue in exit polling was the economy.

At week end it is hight possible that unemployment numbers may come in at or over 10%. Whether it be this month or next, unemployment will go to double digits. Barack Obama is tied to the economy. The fact that we keep losing jobs is not lost on the American people.

Eventually, not even Obama’s personality is going to save him from his policies and how the American voter perceives him. In 2008 Americans voted in Obama because they wanted change; however, never in a million years did the average voter think that change meant socialism. CBS stated that Obama was a non-factor, really? As Hot Air states, Obama was a factor on election day, but not the main factor. Not yet that is.

A majority of voters in both states said they are worried about the direction of the nation’s economy over the next year. 85 percent of Virginia voters said they are worried, as are 89 percent of voters in New Jersey. These percentages were similar on Election Day in 2008.

Obama’s popularity will never be higher than it was in 2008 when voters across America decided to take part in a social experiment rather than electing a capable President. 2008 was an anomaly as so many Independents who voted for Obama have since distanced them self from his hard left policies.

Obamacare, government out of control spending, Cap & Trade, record federal deficits, indecision in Afghanistan and soon double digit unemployment all spell trouble for Democrats and Obama’s image in 2010. There is no way that a hostile and angry electorate is going to give the party in power a free pass.

The wind of change is in the air and it has nothing to do with Barack Obama.

Anything not real us usually short-lived, as is the case of Obama. Didn’t take long for the people of our country to figure him out. He’s a phony, among other things I dare not mention. The American people will get their country back. I suspect Obama will go down in history as the “forgotten” president.

      Dare I start singing yet…

Nah Nah Nah Nah…. Nah Nah Nah Nah…

Hey- Heeeeeeeeyyyy…GOOD-BYE ! (In the case of Pres. Obama, the sooner the better, too!)

2012 can’t come fast enough cuz Dems will be in trouble for 2010…guess we’ll take what we can get right now.

    5. dotratc on November 4th, 2009 1:21 pm

That’s funny. When I woke up this morning, the Democratic Party still controlled 60 seats in the Senate and gained one seat in the House (a seat that hasn’t been occupied by a Democrat since the 1850′s and has been a Republican seat since the 1870′s – in a district in which Sarah Palin actively campaigned against the Democratic candidate).

Anyone who thinks that last night’s gubenatorial races represented any mandate at all might be interested in buying some oceanfront property I have for sale in New Mexico.

    6. super dave on November 4th, 2009 2:23 pm

#5: obama must have sold you that property before the election last year.

    7. PA Mom on November 4th, 2009 2:26 pm

I live in PA and work in NJ. All my co-workers raced to the polls to vote against Obama and his socialized health care. I will do the same thing when I can vote in PA. Yes, we lost 1 senate seat, but that won’t matter much longer. Anyone who thinks this isn’t about Health Care Reform is just dreaming. We want jobs not health care. We’ll get health care from our jobs.

    8. TheOldWorld on November 4th, 2009 2:39 pm

Funny. The debate isn’t even anymore how to do it better, or who might do it better. There’s not even a mention of an alternative. Just pointless ranting. “Obamamessiah”… you are christian, aren’t you? How can a christian enclose the name of the saviour in a derogatory statement? Shame on you.

Obama viewed as invincible? The dems are doing their very best to make him as vincible as possible. Sure, it is mature democratic behaviour to vote purely with your own mind and don’t really care about the line of the party or your leadership, but against an opponent like the rep kindergarden who are happy not to think but just to say “NO (I don’t care if it is good for me! I don’t like spinach!)” as loud as possible, that maturity might be misplaced.

Someone is actually taking time to THINK about Afghanistan? Obaminable!… (<-nice one eh?)

Oops! While you read that, an american died because she didn’t have health care and got treated too late.
Well over here that cannot happen, because people just go to their doc and be cured. No money questions asked, few serious illnesses discovered too late, everyone has coverage.

Well, I am sure your health care system should stay the same it is.
It has the common decency to hide the death panels that decide who gets coverage and who doesn’t. I am sure Obama’s death panels would be far worse, because, shamelessly, he wrote them directly into the bill. (or didn’t he?)

I am not smirking over here! It may be the distance…

    9. juleswheel on November 4th, 2009 2:45 pm

Right on dotratc! The people who were asked about their vote for governor in VA and NJ, said Obama (pro or con) had ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with how they voted. Never let the facts get in the way of a pre-conceived notion I guess……

    10. St Stephen on November 4th, 2009 3:27 pm

Alas, the Republicans are gaining ground WITHOUT a platform!

What do you think will happen when they actually present one?

We need a platform to present the voting public and that has to include a strategy to employ the American public, something that President Obama is not interested in as of yet.

No jobs = no votes. If he doesn’t get it, maybe the Conservatives will.

    11. super dave on November 4th, 2009 4:32 pm

never doubt, obama is running scared. now we move on to shut down this phony pelosi ponzi scheme called health care reform.

    12. yoyo muffintop on November 4th, 2009 5:20 pm

How could it be a referendum on President Obama?

#9 is correct – in both NJ and VA the exit polls overwhelming showed that President Obama in no way influenced their vote, either negatively or positively.

Then there is the NY-23 in which a Dem was elected for the first time since 1872. The only referendum that should be taken away is on the far-right neo-con wingnuts and Bible Spice.

Also, both bills to reduce taxes in Washington and Maine were soundly defeated. Only proving that the “teabaggers” and “astroturfers” were Dick Armey paid racist white people angry that “their” country had been high-jacked and then publicized by Fox News (which really has nothing to do with “news”-just ask Rush Limbaugh) as being “2 million strong” (which was BS, just ask the fire dept). Therefore, verifying that the “anger” was more about racism directed at President Obama than taxes.

Of course, the arrogant neo-con “christians” will ignore any rational observations and continue to purge the party of all that they feel are RINO.

      Lord, hear my prayer!

      #4 & # 8—-

You are both going on squelch mode. Trying to list all the things wrong with our current President & his agenda, administration. etc. to folks like you is a complete waste of time, IMO.

The reality nationwide appears to be that now is millions of Americans who voted for our President erroneously are beginning to realize they got sold up the river! His promises and lies are coming undone but in the end it is Barack Obama’s face of fradulent experience that will bring about his own demise.

#8- Old World—you ask for solutions or suggestions as to who could do a better job right now? Uhmmmmmmm…isn’t it a little too late for that? As an Independent, I’ll wait to vote for whichever candidate whom I believe is best equipped to do the job by the time 2012 rolls around.

As for our current state of affairs and with the current Obama Administration— any intelligent, capably equipped & seasoned Veterans in office now are my only hope in continuing to get any positives for our Country accomplished. Sick to DEATH of the previos administration getting blamed for our everything Obama inherited also (especially our economic problems) EVERYTHING is and always will be cyclical! Also believe that Obama’s current cabinet and all his minions can only carry him, his mistakes and his ego so far.

The American public is growing impatient and scratching their heads now….by 2012 they will all be bald! The writing is on the wall whether you like it or not and for a multitude of reasons which I do not have the time or patcience to list for you right now.

      Thanks

    14. NewGirlBoston on November 4th, 2009 5:40 pm

pls excuse all the spelling errors & typos in last post….& with all due respect hope that dotrac & Old World gets my point without picking on the various grammatical or typing errors !

****PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA WILL NOT GET REELECTED IN 2012! If he does, it will only be because (for the second Presidential election in a row) the Country is not left with any better choice for a Rep candidate. Maybe this prediction will be wrong, doubt it.

    15. AMERICAN BY BIRTH on November 4th, 2009 9:53 pm

OK NOW, I LISTENED TO AS MANY OF OBAMA’S SPEECHES AS I COULD DURING THE ELECTION. I WATCHED HOW HE STOOD, HOW HE MOVED, BODY LANGUAGE SPEAKS LOUDER THAN WORDS, AND HE WAS LYING THROUGH HIS TEETH. HIS REMARKS ARE ANTI-AMERICA, ANTI-CONSTITUTION, ANTI-RELIGION AND PRO LILLY LIVERED LIBERAL AS FAR TO THE LEFT AS HE CAN GO. MY BIGEST LAUGH WAS WHEN HE SAID HE HAD BEEN TO HOW MANY STATES??? IN THE FIFTIES I KNOW, AND HAD TWO MORE TO GO. HE MUST INCLUDE EUROPE AND THE MID EAST AS STATES. HE HAS RUINED THE ECONOMY, AND AS FOR FREDDY AND FANNIE, HE WAS ON THE FINANCE COMMITTEE WHEN ALL THAT WAS GOING DOWN. I FOUND AN ARTICLE NOT TOO LONG AGO THAT WAS WRITTEN IN 1994, WHEN HE WAS RUNNING FOR THE SENATE. IT STATED THAT “NIGERIAN BORN” BARACK OBAMA WAS RUNNING FOR SENATE. HMM, GET THE PICTURE? OUR BUDGET IS SHOT, OUR GOOD NAME HAS BEEN LAMBASTED BY THIS CHICAGO WISE GUY, AND HIS WIFE ISN’T ANY BETTER. THINK OF HOW MUCH IT COST US TAXPAYERS WHEN HE AND HIS WIFE WENT ON THAT “DATE” TO SEE A SHOW. GOVERNMENT PLANES DO NOT RUN ON WATER, YOU KNOW. WHEN I WAS IN THE MILITARY, WE HAD SOME AKRONIMS (SPELLING) THAT DESCRIBES THIS ADMINISTRATION TO THE “T”. ONE WAS “FUBAR” ANOTHER ONE WAS “BOHICA” AND ANOTHER ONE WAS “SNAFU”. THIS ADMINISTRATION HAS WORN THE HECK OUT OF ALL THREE AND SOME OTHERS, I’M SURE.

    17. idiot patrol on November 4th, 2009 10:02 pm

And if Democrats won last night, you moonbat liberals would be telling us that the vote was a big YES for Obama’s agenda.

Get your head out of the sand moonbats, there is a tidal wave coming. Mark my words.

    18. Scared Monkeys on November 5th, 2009 12:39 am

      Oh you misguided LIBS.

Do you not understand that the ire of the voters against the economy is shifting to a majority against Obama? Americans are pissed at the useless $787 billion pork barrel give away, pissed at unemployment, foreclosures and endless govt spending and federal deficits.

The exit polls in NJ and VA stated that they wanted change and thought the direction of the economy was moving in the wrong direction.

DUH … that change that is wanted is away from Obama and his socialist policies.

Just you sit back and think that Obama and Dems are not in some serious trouble. Who do you think is going to pay at the polls with a bad economy?

      Carnage will occur in 2010.

Watch how Blue Dog Dems react now after startling Republicans wins in VA and NJ, deep, deep blue NJ.

      R

    19. dotratc on November 5th, 2009 10:13 am

I agree with #18. If, in fact, the Republicans take control of either or both Houses of Congress in 2010, carnage will occur.

    20. Scott on November 5th, 2009 11:26 am

You liberals are in SUCH denial. The exit polls from both NJ and VA showed the number one thing these voters..BTW, 13% shift from the independents…was the economy and healthcare, BOTH NOW Obama’s problems no matter the puke liberal talking points you dimwits try to throw out there, the inheritance, yada yada yada..well GWB didn’t triple the deficit in 9 months, Obama did with his FAILED TRILLION dollar stimulus.

Last time I looked, Obama is pushing this massive healthcare overhaul that people OVERWHEMINGLY are against.

It’s absolutely a referendum on Obama’s first year in office. The governorship victory by the GOP was the largest in VA in HISTORY. NJ is one of the most liberal states in the union (which is why it’s a cesspool)voted a GOP member in AFTER Obama campaigned FIVE times for the cheat Corzine.

If you pukes would have won both those states, your tune would be different, which is why everybody can see through liberals and how fake as people they really are….

i felt much safer before obama was elected. now i feel the need to protect myself and family from the government that is completely unamerican and resembles what is going on in africa now which is mass corruption.

#5: i see you sold the ocean front property that obama sold you to yoyo .
she actually thinks she will be surfing upon arrival, only to find out she was deceived just like after the election.

#13 NewGirlBoston: I would never denounce anyone because of language skills. As long as you’re good enough to understand what’s going on.

Regarding alternatives:Why not ask republicans what to do?
Americas deficit is a result of a waste of money resources and people in 2 wars started by a president that did neither have the brain, nor the greatness of character to react to the terror threat in a reasonable manor. The result of an administration that had been blind to anarchy on the financial markets.

Remember when McCain wanted to go to Washington to take the greedy bastards by the throat? Laughable. The U.S. are a state of law. Not even a pres. candidate can go out and lynch someone. He and his collegues had missed out on regulating these markets. Which means pass laws so that you can actually punish someone for this. It was a global crisis created by greed and willful ignorance and destroyed many existences. Less people than I have fingers on my hand went to jail for it.

The republicans have left this administration with a hughe mess they brewed up over 8 years. It doesn’t surprise me that Obama couldn’t cure it in one!

Republicans voted for the administration 7 years long and then dropped Bush like a bad apple and stabbed him in the back because they could smell the cake. This opportunism and overal character weakness is what marks the republicans. I don’t see where you can find any american values in that.
