So you think government is the answer to all your problems, eh?
Wow, in Great Britain you are a pedophile until proved innocent. Can you imagine not being allowed to watch your children at a park or playground until you were vetted by police and given the proper papers? Think there is not a slippery slope to giving away your right to the government? You might want to rethink that.

In Great Britain we have a perfect example of an over-reaching government interjecting them self in to simple common every day life like going to the play ground. Obviously child predators are an issue and keeping children safe; however, this is hardly the answer. Go after the PERVS, not the parents!
Parents are being banned from playing with their children in council recreation areas because they have not been vetted by police.
Mothers and fathers are being forced to watch their children from outside perimeter fences because of fears they could be paedophiles.
Watford Council was branded a ‘disgrace’ yesterday after excluding parents from two fenced-off adventure playgrounds unless they first undergo criminal record checks.
Children as young as five will instead be supervised by council ‘play rangers’ who have been cleared by the Criminal Records Bureau.
Councillors insist they are merely following Government regulations and cannot allow adults to walk around playgrounds ‘unchecked’.
But furious parents attacked the move and threatened to boycott the playgrounds.
Talk about your Big Brother government gone way over the edge.
Protein Wisdom asks, … and how long until America does the same? I used to think that American would never come to this as we were a free society with civil rights. That was before “Hope and Change”. With the every growing intrusive Obama government socialist take over that question is not too far off base.

We need video cameras in the classrooms that allow parents
to monitor ‘-ism’ indoctrination being delivered there. Our
children are extensions of ourselves, not the future ‘cattle’
of runaway governments. The schools are for education,
not brainwashing.
Just as the government doesn’t care in the slightest about our health (socialized medicine legislation is all about controlling our lives), the government in the UK is also about exercising cradle to grave control. And now it’s under the guise of protecting against pedophiles. The government doesn’t care at all about protecting the public against pedophiles for if they did, then pedophiles would all do life prison terms. Rather than imprison pedophiles they want to control where adults can go. Pedophiles in the US are very useful also because they allow the excuse for the government to legislate where a former prisoner (and eventually everyone) can live and work and they require that everyone register with the government when they move, etc. The Orwellian police state is here.
hey, this sounds kind of fascinating… on one hand, it’s outrageous, yet ~ on the other… at least the police are screening people who (could) be pervs… it’s not the right approach, however, it’s an approach somewhat proactive…
At least in their playgrounds, you KNOW that whomever’s playing with Johnny or Suzie is not a perv!… UNLIKE children being seduced at playgrounds elsewhere… (did anyone see John Q ~ linked I believe with Primetime/20/20… (spelling error) who hosted a show that had a mock perv/child skit at a playground…(mind you) showing how people responded to a man (actor)well dressed too ~ approached a child (actor) asking for help looking for his Dog? Using the childs name and everything… some people near by who knew he was not related to the child, knew he was creepy responded, some did not and most didn’t know wtf to do?… especially, calling the authorities.. I was so enraged that they had a global opportunity to TEACH us all ~ what to do in this kind of situation ~ and they did not teach… they just showed how vulnerable kids are, at that age and best not leave them unattended at anytime… (the mock Nanny went to a restroom)… it was truly unreal…
