The ACORN scandal of “pimps, child prostitutes and Acorn, oh my” has been plastered all over the Internet, cable news and now old media has finally been forced into reporting it. The scandal is so big and widespread that both the House and the Senate passed measures to defund ACORN.
However, some how the President of the United States Barack Obama went on “This Week” with George Stephanopoulos and said that he was not following the scandal closely. You mean Obama missed ACORN video in Baltimore, video in Washington, DC, video in NY and the video in San Bernardino, CA?
Does anyone really believe that Obama has not been following this scandal? Especially since his White House has looked to distance itself form ACORN? How dismissive could this President possibly be? So Barack Obama does not think its a big issue that tax payer money is going to a corrupt organization. If Acorn was Halliburton would he?
The Audacity of Lack of Credibility
STEPHANOPOULOS: How about the funding for ACORN?
OBAMA: You know, if — frankly, it’s not really something I’ve followed closely. I didn’t even know that ACORN was getting a whole lot of federal money.
STEPHANOPOULOS: Both the Senate and the House have voted to cut it off.
OBAMA: You know, what I know is, is that what I saw on that video was certainly inappropriate and deserves to be investigated.
STEPHANOPOULOS: So you’re not committing to — to cut off the federal funding?
OBAMA: George, this is not the biggest issue facing the country. It’s not something I’m paying a lot of attention to.
When asked whether Obama would commit to cut off ACORN federal funding, The One did not answer. Not commit to cutting off funding to Acorn! How simple a question is that to answer? Also, Obama was not paying attention? What is he hanging out with ABC’s Charlie Gibson? If Barack Obama cannot be trusted on answering a simple question like being aware of the Acorn scandal, then why would anyone believe him on his spin of Obamacare. By the looks of the polls, the American people do not. The credibility with this President is gone, as Michelle Malkin states, Obama is ACORN. ACORN is Obama.
It strains credulity — no, it snaps credulity in half — to believe Obama “didn’t even know” that ACORN was “getting a whole lot of federal money” given his extensive legal services on behalf of the group and training for its voter education arm, Project Vote. (Go re-read my column from June 2008, “The ACORN Obama knows,” and all the links for a refresher course.)
Obama was unaware of Acorn receiving federal money? Please!
This interview was Obama’s Bill Clinton moment. Are you aware that Acorn is corrupt, receiving federal funds and are you following the story closely Mr. President? Well, George, it all depends on the is, is … or is it what corruption is!

JOE WILSON WAS RIGHT!
See, the problem is this guy lives in a very different world then the rest of America. He views the country and Constitution he vowed to uphold in a different light and spectrum, mostly filled with contempt and anomosity.
He has different definitions for terms such as what is a ‘tax.’ Normal thinking Americans know what is and what is not a tax. The Obama slug Stephanopolous spared with him on it. Obama does not view actual taxing of the middle class is an actual tax if it’s REDISTRIBUTING the wealth to the lower masses!
This guy is scary dangerous!
Gee, it would seem that Joe Wilson was right on and got chastised for it. Go figure. I can tell when Mr. Obama is lying becuase his lips are moving.
#1– Good point. He promises not to raise taxes on families that make less than $250K / yr, but his 35% tax on the health care companies will be passed on to everyone, including those who make less than $250K / yr. It is the same lie the politicians (especially Republicans) use to sell us toll roads. (‘See the new highway we gave you, and without one cent of taxes!’) It is a way to take our money without calling it a ‘tax.’
What a sad day it is when Obama states he has not followed the Acorn scandal closely. “what a surprise” I would think Child prostitution, fraud, corruption, etc. would be at the top of his list. However, I think Obama has now showed us all what is really important to him.

BO also wasn’t close with William Ayers but just happened to accidentally appoint another Ayers radical, Van Jones, as a Czar. Oh and Obama doesn’t have Czars – well except when he himself calls them czars. He also had no clue that Tony Rezko’s wife purchased the land locked piece of property next to his the same day he bought his Chicago Mansion for a reduced price. Hope and Change.

#10′s comments may have been right-wing(nothing wrong in that) but to say it was extremist or racial in nature is quite a stretch.
of course, I can see how you can selectively filter words to suit your agenda, though, as you have been programmed well to do just that to justify the inane and inexplicable(as well as incomprehensible) policies of President Obama.
Once the Republicans get a thorough and easy to understand platform going to present to the American voting public, it will be a time of REAL and PROGRESSIVE(that is the word) change in the country, not the pablum that has been force fed to us nor the illusatory audacity of hopium that have been blown in our faces, clouding any rational thought or questions we may have of his ill-conceived policies.
As far as ACORN is concerned, if he is not lying then he is woefully ignorant of the situation, and that may be worse in the long run to be that naive about something as corrupt as a big organization as that. It questions what else is he naive about, particularly in terms of foreign relations vis-a-vis Russia, Iran and China, let alone terrorism.
