Marine Vet David William Hedrick Rips US Representative Brian “Brown Shirt” Baird a New One at Washington Town Hall Meeting

It just doesn’t get any better than the below video.

Sorry Democrats, you cannot make this kind of passion up. They can say that the Town Hall protesters are RNC organized all they want … this Marine vet’s passion is real and felt by the many in the audience and across the country. And Democrats and Obama wonder why their poll numbers are in the tank?

This is a must see VIDEO.

“I also heard you say that you were going to let us keep out health insurance. Well, THANK YOU! It’s not your right to decide whether or not I keep my current plan or not. That is my decision!

August 18, 2009 – Town Hall Meeting with US Rep. Brian Baird of Clark County, WA

“The Nazi’s were the National Socialist Party, they were leftist. They took over the finance, they took over car industry, they took over the health care in that country. If Nancy Pelosi wants to find a swastika, maybe the first place she should look is the sleeve of her own arm”.

As stated by Protein Wisdom, what is amazing is that Representative Baird was called out on calling people “Brown Shirts” and he flat out lied that he didn’t say it. Then Baird says he apologized.  Why would one have to apologize if they did not say it? These people are caught with their own words and still lie. Why would anyone want such an individual as an elected Congressman. Vote ‘em out! As so many have commented on blogs like at Gateway Pundit,  David William Hedrick needs to run for office.

Rep. Brian Baird (D-Wash.) apologized yesterday for accusing town hall protesters of “brown shirt tactics” and comparing them to a “lynch mob.”

Baird, who originally decided against holding town hall meetings because of expected protests, now says he’ll schedule some forums during the August recess.

Baird made headlines last week by comparing town hall protesters to Nazi guards.

“What we’re seeing right now is close to Brown Shirt tactics,” Baird told the Columbian. “I mean that very seriously.”

Nazis were Fascist…and fascism = extreme RIGHT. Anyone who thinks differently needs to educate themselves on both basic history and politics!
      ___________
SM: Maybe you might want to educate yourself while you are at it. That actually used parts of both the LEFT and the RIGHT.

It was called the National Socialist German Workers’ Party. I can’t remember the last time a right wing organization called themself socialists, can you? Can anyone?

      http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nazism

Nazism, officially in German as National Socialism[1][2][3][4] (German: Nationalsozialismus), refers to the ideology and practices of the National Socialist German Workers’ Party or NSDAP under Adolf Hitler, and the policies adopted by the dictatorial government of Nazi Germany from 1933 to 1945.[5][6][7][8]

Nazism is often considered by scholars to be a form of fascism. While it incorporated elements from both left and right-wing politics,

ERICA: were you facing a mirror when you came to this conclusion ?

WOW!!!! It thrills my heart to hear true American patriots, such as Mr. Hedrick, speak out. May we all rise up to speak out as he has and stop the present insanity.

A powerful dissertaion on the lack of character of those politicians determined to destroy this country. Please approach your local Republican office and run.

    7. tuyvnsurvivor on August 24th, 2009 5:42 pm

      That was outstanding!

Erica, too much of history is now being written, even ‘changed’ by sociolists, liberals, and those who have not contributed. Parcing words seems to be a precursor.

      sad Red.

    9. Sal on August 25th, 2009 6:43 am

Erica is right on. When extremist on the right or left compare the democratic republic that is this great country to Nazis or Communists or Facists it really makes my skin crawl. To do that is such a perversion that it is beyond ignorant. Erica is right and all you who disagree need to go back and re-take 4-6 grade history. I thank Hedrick for his service, but he and the rest of you should really do a little more research, beyond the insipid and distorted sound bites.

Thank all of you for making my point and for partaking in the History lesson.

It is sad when the Hitler term needs to be used. However, you dare compare a private citizen using it in rebuttle to what a public servant, an elected official who swore to unhold the US Constitution?

      Oh that makes sense.

BTW, I am a history major with a speciality in Warfare and WWII, US-Japanese and German relations.

It is the politicians who have been calling “We the People” nazis and brown shirts simply because people disagree with their policies.

Who are the real evil mongers?

    11. Dolf on August 25th, 2009 8:20 am

Red, do you read the stuff ppl post here?

It was disgusting when they compared Bush to Hitler, but now its ok to compare Obama to him?
      __________
SM: But, I guess it would be ok for elected officials who have great power to call “We the People” nazi’s and brown shirts? It’s ok that the people in power slur democracy and people who would dare fight for their beliefs, yet those that would oppose a war and the brave troops are looked upon as heroes.

It was not the people, but Barack Obama who created the nark on your neighbor web site. Funny, cuz I thought being a nark was not an accepted thing in the hood. (that would be a joke).

All things considered … do I agree with calling some one Hitler? No, because it takes away from the horror of the man. However, I will call Obama a socialist, an elitist and a communist. All of his actions as President have born that to be true.

It’s rather amuzing though to see the LEFT lose their minds when their Obamamessiah is called something that the Left refers to others all the time.

This goes 2 ways..both sides are branding each other as unAmerican and traitors.

and fyi: I am more right wing then left wing (for a Dutchie).

I also read in the NYT there some of the protestors at those meetings where Obama was, were showing off their firearms…is that normal?

      _____________
SM: Dude, its called freedom of speech. Sorry if you do not like it or don’t understand it. However, it is American. It does go both ways.

Is there supposed to be control used? Of course. However, many times passion takes over. It is American to be critical of the government, too bad the MSM forgot that.

Its also sad that politicians forgot what freedom of speech is as well by ducking town halls.

People have been taking firearms to events long before Obama was elected. You people act like he was the first Liberal Democrat ever elected. He is the first black President, although Bill Clinton might argue that point. BO is not the first President. He is just the media darling where even that is changing.

And yes, some things are un-American. Not supporting the troops who fight for our rights to protest and changing America to a scocialist BS utopia would be considered as well.

I think you have to live in the US to truly understand it.

Re #11: Really funny joke, Red. Really funny… I guess it answers the question I was wanting to ask you regarding how you can – in good conscience – allow the blatantly racist rhetoric that goes on here. Now I know.

    14. Elmer on August 25th, 2009 9:37 am

Re #9: Well, that settles it! Red knows better than anyone because of his impressive educational credentials. How could anyone possibly be righter than he??? Add another weapon to Red’s arsenal against open & honest discussion – a little thing called hubris.

    15. Scott on August 25th, 2009 12:18 pm

Red – i don’t understand why you waste your time explaining things to a child or a foreigner who has ZERO grasp on what goes on here; but thinks he knows stuff because he has a pair of eyes and ears and watches CNN…LOL! The guy is a ZERO!

He nerd, Dolf, it was a black man who brought a RIFLE to an Obama event. Actually, under law, he had a right to do that…but get your facts straight, try watching a news program that actually reports FACTS!

Hey Elmer, go pound your pud you pudding…..

Wouldn’t a person who made it his life to STUDY the things ignorant people like you are trying to argue have more credibility over someone like you who has no credentials in anything? THAT’s WHAT I THOUGHT! ABSOLUTELY!

Elmer, you, zero dolf, yoyoloser, add nothing to any open and honest discussion, EXCEPT blab and blab THE SAME OLD TIRED LIBERAL RHETORIC AND TALKING POINTS! Nobody cares about you, get lost!

Re #15: Hey, Scott, why don’t you take your homosexual fantasies to a more appropriate site? Not that there’s anything wrong with that…

scott, shouting at monitors can not be healthy (that might explain some things)

that reading course might help a bit

scott, I do not care if a guy is black or white, I was asking if it was a normal thing to go to a townmeeting while openly carying guns

and scott an honest and open discussion DOES NOT INVOLVE SWEARING AND INSULTING. But with you being in a somewhat different reality then most it might

or you may just be a lonely angry loser

      Dolf:

If you have a carry permit you may carry a gun where you wish. Laws of different states vary as to how you may carry a gun. You definitely cannot carry a gun on any school property, on an airplane or to an establishment where alcohol is served.

The guy carrying the gun was within his rights, but it may not have been the smartest of moves as emotions have been running high at these meetings. Also, he allowed himself to be misrepresented and used by the media.

      http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Concealed_carry_in_the_United_States

      http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Open_carry

I can’t say that I have never posted negative comments toward others here, but it is sad that nearly EVERY thread is being reduced to silly name calling and vulgarity now…

Beyond that, three cheers for David Hedrick, he has expressed what so many of us are feeling!

      Pat, thanks for the answer.
