Don’t bet on Oregon dad, Todd Marcum, to be winning the father of the year award any time soon. The 41 year old idiot has been arrested on charges he used a dog shock collar on his children. The Salem, Oregon dad admitted to shocking his children not as punishment, but just for laughs. Yet another example of you need a license to hunt and fish, but not have children. Let’s hope the Oregon Department of Human Services does there job and never allows these children back with this poor excuse of a human being.

He said the father acknowledged putting the electronic dog collar on his four children and shocking all of them at least once.
According to Okada, the father didn’t do it as a punishment. Rather, he thought it was funny.
The children, all younger than 10, are in the custody of their mother.

The four children, ages 3, 6, 8 and 9, had been shocked while wearing the collar at least once, according to a statement from their father, Okada said.
Marcum told police that he would chase the 3-year-old boy around with the collar, making him cry at the thought of being shocked. Okada said that because of the boy’s behavior, it is likely that the children were shocked more than once.

Child abuse realllllllly chaps my nuggets.
Many things bother me. However, child and pet abuse sends me right off the friggin’ deep end.
For real, I thought Red was going a little light on this waste of human flesh by just labeling Todd Marcum only “Idiot of the Day”. The thing that got my goat in this story is that Marcum was doing this for “laughs”. Laughs or punishment, either way…completely egregious at best!

Umm, I think he should have a extra large dog collar put around him and shock him.
Another example of under-charging when it comes to crimes committed upon children by a parent. Mistreatment? What the helk is that? What ever happened to Assault or Wreckless Endangerment?
As always, the children suffer. And no doubt, these children will suffer the trauma inflicted upon them for the rest of their lives.

You know todd marcums my dad and I’m 12 now and they make it sound a lot worse than it was. We thought it was funny too it didn’t even hurt and he wouldn’t chase spencer around. The media always trys to make people look bad. Bbtw my dad lost a lot of weight and we can see him now.
