Scary … Should Barack Obama be Allowed to Control the Internet? So Much for the Constitution
What ever happened to government of the people, by the people, for the people?
Abraham Lincoln said during his Gettysburg Address on November 19, 1863 the following:
It is rather for us to be here dedicated to the great task remaining before us — that from these honored dead we take increased devotion to that cause for which they gave the last full measure of devotion — that we here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain — that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom — and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.
It is safe to say by the actions of our present day politicians that we no longer have a government of the people, by the people and for the People. It’s safe to say that today’s politicians could care less about The US Constitution as opposed to being able to quote from it. Hell, I would venture a guess that they may never have read it. The United States has become a government that is directly against the People and is for the amassing of their own authority, power and control.
According to Mother Jones, there is a new bill that would give the President emergency authority to halt web traffic and access to private data during a state of emergency. Interestingly enough, Mother Jones is not a right wing web site, far from it.
Senators John Rockefeller (D-W. Va.) and Olympia Snowe (R-Maine) think so. On Wednesday they introduced a bill to establish the Office of the National Cybersecurity Advisor—an arm of the executive branch that would have vast power to monitor and control Internet traffic to protect against threats to critical cyber infrastructure. That broad power is rattling some civil libertarians.

Matthew & Laura Eaton Admit to Crimes on Dr Phil Show … Feds Investigate Shoplifting & Selling Items on eBay
WTF: What’s worse … Going on Dr. Phil and admitting to crimes or Dr. Phil allowing people to come on his show knowing they have committed and are presently committing crimes?
That is exactly what took place last Fall when Matthew and Laura Eaton of San Marcos appeared on the “Dr. Phil Show” to share their story and bragging about making $100,000 shoplifting and selling the items on eBay. To make matters worse, the couple had a video of their three small children accompanying them on a three-day shoplifting binge. The Dr. Phil TV show titled “Shoplifting Confessions” Nov. 19, 2008.
The Eatons have not been arrested or charged. The couple hired an attorney with the United Defense Group in Los Angeles to represent them, but the firm said Thursday they would not comment on the case.
Dave Hillen, a detective at the San Diego County sheriff’s office, said he investigated the Eatons for shoplifting before their television appearance.
Surprise, Surprise … Former IL Gov. Rod Blagojevich Indicted on Federal Corruption Charges
Surprise, Surprise, Surprise … who saw this coming, NOT!!!
Former ousted and disgraced Democrat Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich and his brother were indicted on federal corruption charges. Blagojevich was charged on 19 counts including selling Obama’s Senate seat to the highest bidder, pressuring a congressman for campaign money, lying to FBI agents and attempting to get kickback in exchange for the refinancing of billions of dollars in state pension funds.
Ousted Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich and five others were indicted Thursday on charges of scheming to auction off President Barack Obama’s vacant U.S. Senate seat, pressuring a congressman for campaign money and lying to FBI agents. The 19-count indictment alleges Blagojevich and his aides discussed the possibility he could get a Cabinet post in the new president’s administration, substantial fundraising assistance or a high-paying job in exchange for the Senate seat.

Was US President Bowing to a Saudi King or Did he Drop his Blackberry or was it an iPod?
Suddenly President Obama remembers protocol when it comes to bowing to a Saudi king.
President Barack Obama bowing to a Saudi King? As Rusty states at the Jawa Report, Obama hardly did this when he met the British Queen. Who else finds this just a tad bit troubling? As Hot Air goes on to say, “If this is a bow, it’s more than Elizabeth got when The One met her yesterday.”
Compare that to Obama meeting the Queen. He didn’t bow. Which he shouldn’t. But why bow here and not there?
Michelle Malkin has equally shown her disgust in the past when GWB made similar type gestures to the Saudi’s. However, Obama bow was so low that it begged the question whether he was actually bowing or he had “dropped a contact lens or penny.”
As we have all seen in the past, President Obama is big on “block buster” protocol, even royal protocol. We have figured out the mystery of Obama’s deep bow to a Saudi king. Actually it was Doug Powers … his “theory is that the president was only somewhat stooped over because he was trying to show King Abdullah what was on the iPod he brought over for him as a present”.
