Sounds to me that Blink may be jumping the gun with innuendo a bit and in the process ruining someone’s reputation.
Sgt. Tony Sheneman said other warrants in the case are sealed and that he would not answer questions about them in a press conference Tuesday evening. He also denied media reports that the church’s pastor, Lane Lawless, was a suspect in the girl’s death. Police have not named any suspects in the case.
katablog,
Yes, I too feel they are jumping the gun and posted such on their site. Pastor’s wife simply made the same comment we are ALL thinking since the minute we heard this child was missing…WHO would take a child? Answer? Some pedophile also willing to take her life. WE ALL THOUGHT SAME THING! Why so “ominous” all of a sudden when this woman speaks our own question to this?
Since it’s pretty clear this women truly doesn’t know, if it turns out to be her husband, will be really terrible. My guess is the tracking dogs followed the child’s scent to where they are digging. So they know she wound up there at some point and no way should have been where she was in that church yard. Just like the Caylee Anthony case. Those sniffer dogs didn’t hit near the pool for no reason. A body had been there (Casey preparing it to dump IMO…or attempting to fake a drowning only to realize it wasn’t gonna work.) So, LE knows the last steps of this little child went to that spot on the church grounds.
My father was a pastor and I can tell you if the police came to him and said “your church is the scene of a murder investigation of a child”…he would have been deeply troubled. Hopefully, that is all we are seeing from the pastor…deep feelings of saddness rather than guilt!!!!
