RSSSearch for Sandra Cantu Focuses on Old River
Tracy, CA- Sandra Cantu, 8, has been missing from her family’s mobile home park since Friday March 27th. She was last seen on surveillance video at 4PM leaving her home in the opposite direction of the exit to the park.

Police say she was held captive for a week

Teen kidnapped and sold for sex
Her ordeal started on Monday, March 23. Police say a 14-year-old girl was outside her San Antonio home when 48- year-old Leslie Campbell lured her into his car. The teen told investigators Campbell sold her for sex twice. Then she says he drove her to Corpus Christi where he got her a fake i.d. and forced her to strip at a local club. She told investigators Campbell didn’t let her out of his sight. The teen says when she didn’t earn enough money, Campbell beat her. Police say Campbell later raped the teen.
It was Monday, March 27 when the young girl managed to escape. Campbell was in the shower. The teen grabbed his vehicle registration papers and took off running. She finally managed to flag down an officer and report what had happened to her. Because she had taken those registration papers, police were able to locate Campbell. The teen was also able to identify locations where she had been kept.
Police say the girl was examined at a hospital where enough DNA evidence was collected to be able to charge Campbell with aggravated sexual assault of a child. He’s also charged with aggravated kidnapping.
The teen has been reunited with her family. Both Corpus Christi and San Antonio police are investigating.
