Coincidence or material to the case of missing 5 year old Haleigh Cummings
25 year old Chad Eugene Reynolds, a registered sex offender is missing in Florida. Chad Eugene Reynolds was last seen on February 1, 2009 when he left his mother’s home at 3 Bay Court Run in Ocklawaha on that Sunday to watch the Super Bowl at a local bar. Reynolds was reported missing on February 4. Ocklawaha is about 2 hours away from Satsuma, FL where Haleigh Cummings went missing. Haleigh Cummings was last seen on the night of February 9 at approximately 10 pm. Could there possibly be a connection?
Scared Monkeys had previously reported that there were 44 sex offenders within a 5 mile radius of the Cummings’ home. However, could what police are leaning towards in an abduction been committed by a sex offender outside that 5 mile radius?
Chad Eugene Reynolds, 25, was last seen Feb. 1 leaving his mother’s home in Ochlawaha, Fla. — about two hours from Haleigh’s home — police said. He was reported missing on Feb. 4.

Reynolds reportedly borrowed a car from a friend and then later called to say the vehicle had broken down near the Marion/Lake County Lines, according to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office. The car was located in an undisclosed location south of Marion County, but Reynolds was nowhere to be found.
Chad Eugene Reynolds had been previously sentenced in Putnum County, the same county where Haleigh was reported missing, for armed burglary and lewd and lascivious molestation of a child younger than 12 that occurred on Sept. 3, 2002. Reynolds was released in November and is on 10 years of community supervision. Chad Reynolds has not been called a suspect officially; however, any common sense thinking person would have to put him in a person of interest category.
The story of Chad Reynold’s broken down vehicle sounds fishy at best. Why would the broken down vehicle not have been in the same location as initially stated.
Chad Reynolds reportedly called Baker and told her he was at the Wal-Mart in Summerfield and that the vehicle had broken down.
By the time Baker got there, Reynolds had gone. Baker later found her vehicle in Sumter County along U.S. 441. Baker told deputies the last time she spoke to Reynolds was 2:15 a.m. the following Monday. Five minutes after that call, Reynolds called his mother’s home but did not leave a message. On Feb. 3, a man identified only as “Ryan” told deputies he received a call from Reynolds; however, he did not speak with him because the phone was disconnected as soon as he said hello.
Deputies contacted Reynolds’ place of employment, Longhorn Steakhouse restaurant in Sumter County, and was told by the manager that Reynolds had not reported to work for two days.

Maybe there should have been a flashing warning on his Myspace account that he was a registered sex offender. At the very least in Chad’s details where it says children, maybe the answer should have been “lewd and lascivious molestation”.

does anyone know how close the vehicle being abandoned on US 441 would be to where haleigh lives? this guy sounds like he could be a suspect………..for real. he’s the same age as the girl’s father, could they possibly know each other?

#3 STN after reading his web page he seems to have a lot of ‘friends’ who are concerned about him–several of the posts have a sense of urgency and tell him to call can his cell phone be traced by any remote way? Also as one poster stated he himself may have fallen victim to foul play (his past seems pretty shady)

I thought that too. I would think (hope!) the police would check with the “friends.” I also noticed he lists his hometown as south Florida and that he put his mood on the last day he logged on (and the same day I think he went missing) as “adventurous”. It looks like he has a Facebook page too but you have to have an account to see details and I can’t be bothered to go through that hassle. I’m guessing the police have checked out all this stuff.

I, honestly, don’t think this is your guy. He says he’s athletic, but, in reality he’s on the small side. I would imagine six and a half years ago, when he was nineteen, he picked up young girls. They probably thought he was younger, until he robbed them. In my opinion, if Haleigh was abducted, it was by an older man that lived in the area… close. Someone who knew her famity. Maybe a father to one of her friends, uncle or grandfather… someone who knew how to get in and out of that trailer and knew the working habits of the father. He could have visited, recently, to unlock the back door. It has to be someone close to the family. IMO
God Bless Little Haleigh with a way out so she can return to her family. I pray, with all my heart, it’s not too late.

Hi Nancy-I AM NOT a myspace or face book user at all BUT and this is a guess/mo–I guess the sites automatically update the site ever so often (every 14 days maybe?) Anyway I THINK it may work like a email or voice mail message the calls are ‘recorded’ so you can return them if you want–perhaps he himself is hurt somewhere (you know HIS mom is going through a time now),that may explain how/why it was ‘updated yesterday’. The person responsible for Haley’s dissappearance is probably someone the little girl knows.
She was most likely driven away in a car. A 17 year old is hardly life smart to raise a 2 and 5 year old. She is still a kid herself!
My suspicions lie with the girlfriend, and friends of both the girlfriend and father.
Reality of a time window is closing. Prayers that this precious child will be found alive.

HOMOSASSA, Fla. — The mobile home where a repeat sex offender raped and murdered a 9-year-old Florida girl in 2005 has burned down, officials said.
Citrus County officials said Monday that the fire was suspicious. John Evander Couey’s former trailer was vacant when the fire started Sunday night, but officials say it’s a “total loss” because of extensive damage. The fire investigation was turned over to the Florida State Fire Marshals Office.
Couey told investigators he kept Jessica in a closet for several days before burying her alive in a shallow grave outside the trailer. Jessica had been abducted from her home nearby.
Couey was convicted of murder and sentenced to death.
could Haliegh be here on the property somewhere? Also stated they had only lived in that trailer where she went missing for 2 weeks what are the chances she was trying to find her old home?
Notice that this ‘guy,’ on his MySpace account above, professes to be a Christian. I doubt that many of us would bow to his use of the term.
Anyway, unless it can be found that he has some previous tie to the family, I’d think it unlikely that he just happened to be in the “right” place at the “right” time.
My guess is that someone with some ties to Caleigh’s family, even if only because of living in the same area, is responsible.
I have to add this piece of information. I do hope that they find this little girl, unharmed. It is so sad.
I live in a double wide trailer, also. Someone broke into my house by using a garden hoe to push it between the two window panes, push the lower window in (bypassing the window locks) and pushing the window up enough to crawl in the window. There was no damage to the window and if they had wanted to, they could have put the window down, once inside and I would have never known how the got into my house. So, it is possible for someone to get into a trailer and no one know how they may have gotten in.

Hey, they need to remove that guys plumbing if he is guilty…I think it should be a standing law to do this whenever a crime like this occurs.
Given the facts currently being published, it’s a huge jump to even remotely attempt to connect Chad to Haleigh.
The abandon car was found on US 441 in the opposite direction of where Haleigh lives.
From hwy 441 (at Sumter county line) would be well over a two hour drive to Satsuma, FL.
There is no “direct” route from where Chad was last reported to be, to where Haleigh lives.
Unless Chad had friends or relatives in the community where Haleigh lives (and is familiar with the area), it would be extremely unlikely he would even know where Green Lane is.
In most cases, when a child is abducted from their home, it is done by someone familiar with the area of the residence and is aware the child lives there.
I found out that Chads’Grandparents live on Cresent Lake in Crescent City. You can do a google map from Haleigh’s house & follow the little tributes to Cresent lake without any problems. I will not give names of grandparents or 911 address.. THE LOCAL SHERIFFS OFFICE ARE AWARE OF THIS INFO!!

It sounds like someone knew the area and the house, knew the father was gone nights..maybe watching, could be a relative..friend or neighbor.. does sound like a pedophile..
Not defending Chad..or ruling him out, just haven’t seen a connection. I think they should all be sent to an island anyway..they can’t be cured, yet we keep putting them out among children…

I got the feeling that abuse may have been going on for some time. That’s why I asked if there were more photographs. This child in this picture is indicative of being abused before, IMO. I too, am not surprised that the father knows who may have done this. Sometimes, people like that stand out as the type of guy who would do that, even though you have no proof. There’s nothing wrong with him listening to his instinct and I appreciate his love for his daughter because I’d want to kill him, too.
But, using a brick to keep the door open sounds more like someone would do if they were carrying something in or out of the door. I haven’t read much about the case, honestly. I haven’t had the time.

And, if manner of death is what it appeared to be, how many others were sacrificed that night and how often is this ritual performed?

I also believe there was a jet that sat on the runway for two days waiting for Natalee to come out of drug rehab… but, not one that was hired by her parents.

I would pray that the final concensus is not that I’ve lost my mind, because I have put a lot of energy into my research as has the State Department.

Thanks for that bit of info glad the police KNOW this information–we don’t know what the clues are they are following.
One question anyone–Did they ever withdraw and cease to search for Caylee? I can’t recall with all the daily drama there for awhile. Is there a ‘time frame’ when the police feel the search may be futile? Don’t they work on and follow up the leads at the same time? I can understand the dad’s anguish –we as a Nation are praying for her safe return but sadly it doesn’t look like it will end that way.

911: “Does it look like you had to sorta…like someone tried to enter your house.”
Misty: “Umm. Hold On.”
911:” And another thing, make sure you and your husband don’t touch the door anymore. Don’t mess with the door or anything. ”
Misty: “No it doesn’t. ”
911: “it doesn’t look like it is?”

Yet Ronald at this moment wants to kill a mysterious boogie man already.
Ronald:
“When I find HIM, I’m going to kill him.”
“Dumb b* … where my daughter at?”
Ronald apparently knows more about what
happened than Misty, at this point.

So many things about the 911 call are wrong.
Out of sequence.
Also, Ronald has not had a chance to go through
shock, fear and desperation yet.
Anger & revenge come after all that.
I don’t care who you are, what socio-economic
class, or how effing flaming butt-out insipid
you appear to be. It is a human thing.
IMO the 911 calls are high-school drama play
acting. Still not buyin’ what they’re sellin’.
Take a look at google maps. Chad Reynolds lived near the Ocala National Forest. Haleigh’s home was also near the Forest. I have been there many times. It is HUGE and very difficult to find persons in.
start things off i dont think her family knew anything but as for the 17 year old her father is dating , for 1 why the f*** is he with an under age gurl and for two she has gotten caught lying and twisting her statments yeah she says they passed the lie detector test but the cops arnt saying weather they did or not so 2 she is hoping they find her truthfull. what i think is her man left her to babysit the kids and then she thoughgt well f*** while she is sleeping ill go out and come home before he does thats what i think happend and i think she has responsibility over whats going on and as for the father he needs to find a gurl his own age. god save haighley from harm and we all pray for her. everyone at this time needs to keep her in your prayers she needs all the prayers and our support.
HAS THE ROUTE CUMMINGS TOOK TO WORK BEEN CHECKED. IF THE CILD WAS TAKEN WITH HIM AND TOSSED OUT SOMEWHERE THEY MAY BE LOOKING IN THE WRONG PLACE. IF HE WORKS AT A PRESTRESSED CONCRET PLACE SHE COULD BE IN SOME OF THAT CONCRET. HAS ANY OF THIS BEEN CHECKED?
I have to agree with carpe….Several years ago my son was about 3 years old, outsided in the neighborhood riding his tricycle I went to get him and he was gone. After frantically searching the area I found his trike setting at the corner and him no where to be found. He was inside another childs house getting a popcycle and every thing was ok.. My point though is I am as hotheaded as anyone with a jackass button with a sensitive switch and Anger didnt enter into the emotions that I was feeling…fear,sick at my stomach, my imagination at to all that could be so the statement that he made during the 911 call regarding what he would do to “him” is puzzling to say the least
i agree they should be checking the route cummings takes to work but to be honest with this whole situation i wanna know why they get married now like it couldnt wait. and his wife is not cleared as a suspect either. its just funny how she was sleeping in the same room and didnt hear shit. i dont beleive her i think she has something to do with haily dissapearing maybe she has hard feelings towards haighleys real mom and she thought if the child is gone then the mother cant come around think about it i dunno its fishy
Based on the information given to the public the dad was at work. Why are people so out the get this father? What if he is innocent? What if Crystal Sheffield is an angry woman over her loss of custody who will say or do anything to get her children back? Why are people so quick to believe all she has to say? I read the court records and it is clear she has not been honest about why she lost custody. DCF said she has made false claims before. It also looks as if she lied in court about abuse and neglect and the judge new this.
What if this man is innocent and besides his daughter being taken he also has to deal with media and an ex wife out to convict him? If Kim Picazio really cares about Junior and really believes half of what she has claimed why is she not in court? What about the fiance of Crystal and his violence on children orders in place over two years? How come nobody is looking at him?
How attached was he to this child? How did he feel about his fiance being taken to court over child support? Having seizures when she got the notice? Why was he on camera laughing when LE was searching a dumpster for Haliegh? What is so funny to him? Why did it take Crystal and her family five hours to show up when Haleigh went missing? What was so important that they could not come straight away? Why from day one have they been pointing fingers at Misty, Ron and later a black man in black? Could this really be about custody? Could Crystal have found out about Misty and Greg and wanted to expose Misty in the media. If she did, why when Haleigh and finding her should be her number one concern? Why is Crystal more concerned with making the dad and Misty look bad? Could it be because that was the goal all along?
I’m not too sure about the facts of this, so do correct me if I’m wrong, I’m not from America. If he was a registered sex offender then perhaps the fact that he had once commited a crime, served whatever amount of time the legal system required (or not – still it’s decision) but had still had a constant reminder of his crime attached to his name preventing him from living anywhere or working most places made him decide that there was no point in trying to conform to anything at all so he disappeared. We admire this Americans, The way you can make your sex offenders so depressed and unrehabilitable that they just (poof) vanish away from your sight. Some people think this is dangerous as they are lost track of but that’s silly because 99% of criminals in your country (drink drivers/wife beaters/white collar fraudsters/dog killers) walk around without people in the shops or new jobs knowing anything about their disregard for the law (1 in 32 people in US. are in trouble with legal system too!). No, carry on with this system I say. Soon, you won’t have any sex offenders walking the streets. You have plenty of violent criminals (check stats- anywhere) who can easily beat up and harrass these people into leaving so you should let them do it. Make heros of these bank robbers/street brawlers/adult rapists. That should rehabilitate a few of them. You could make statues of them. Good luck and I hope we get a similar system here soon. Bye.
