The $827 billion stimulus bill is a loser and everyone knows it. Its not a stimulus plan, its 
Democratic pork barrel spending masquerading as a stimulus bill. You know its bad when Saturday Night Live rips the bill and skewers Senator Majority Leader Harry Reid and Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi on the stimulus plan.
The satire of sour grapes of Nancy Pelosi and her lack of bipartisanship is not lost in this SNL skit. The reality is that it was the House Republicans who showed bipartisanship in pulling over 11 Democrats to their side. It is newly elected President Barack Obama who has called for a new era in Washington, DC yet a bitter and hostile Nancy Pelosi is portrayed as not wanting to let bygones be bygones.
The end result is that Democrats will have passed a $827 billion stimulus plan that is nothing more than a pork barrel Democrats wish list and Obama and the Dems will own its success or failure. There is a reason why Americans are uncomfortable with the stimulus plan, SNL just provided a forum to show America’s displeasure and perceptions of the Democratic leadership.

The Democratic pork will bring back the Republican party from Purgatory.
McCain also said that he would not vote for the stimulus bill as it now stands, referring to the spending package as “generational theft.” He said that the Senate version of the package (which, even after some pruning by Republicans and Democrats, currently stands at $827 billion) would lead to a $1.2 trillion budget deficit, which he said marks only the beginning of a greater downward spiral. “We are going to amass the largest debt in the history of this country and we are going to ask our kids and grandkids to pay for it,” he said.
“I know America needs a stimulus,” McCain admitted, “but this is not it.”

In a year, all those college kids are going to be wondering where the stimulus jobs are while they stand in line at the food pantry or soup kitchen.
They will be shocked to learn they gained their first $500,000 mortgage when they turned 18 – welcome to the party. In a year, it may well be over one million dollars. mo
The other thing I would add, when 5 jobs go to one town and there are 250 unemployed, who gets the short straw? America.

I little more news. Dingy Harry just blocked the bipartisan amendment in the Senate to ensure illegals don’t get the Porkulus money. This provision was in the house bill but not in the senate bill.
So how is everyone liking that “buy American” provision, but illegals get free handouts (education, health and stimulus checks) while only US construction firms that are unionized get federal project. What a country!
I can’t believe it! Saturday Night Live actually gave the Obamacrats a critical look? What happened to the patina of invincibility?
My guess is that we’ll see more of this: during the campaign the media gave Obama a pass on almost everything. Now the disillusionment is setting in.

I don’t know what the solution to the economic crisis is, but I don’t think the proposed solution is the best one. Maybe if people got the impression that the top officials in government had to obey tax laws, that would help.
Now here’s another outrage … imagine this! Poland says it will take action against the Pakistani Taliban who decapitated a Polish national.
What’s the matter with Poland? Does it think its government’s first obligation is to protect its own citizens? How backward.
Why doesn’t it do what WE do … grovel at the feet of the “Islamic world” and cry for a “new relationship”? Isn’t that the best approach … plead for universal “understanding”?
I forget who said “Millions for defense, but not one cent for tribute.” The guy must have been from Poland.
Polish FM vows to hunt down Taliban killers of hostage
WARSAW (AFP) – Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski on Monday denounced the execution of a Polish hostage by the Pakistani Taliban and vowed to hunt down his killers.
Pakistan’s umbrella Taliban group released a video of the execution of hostage Piotr Stanczak on Sunday.
“The cassette of the execution, this bestial execution, is authentic and unfortunately it confirms the worst,” Sikorski told reporters.
“Now we can no longer save our compatriot, we are going to try to punish his killers,” he added.
“After consultation with the justice minister, we are issuing arrest warrants to arrest the men suspected of having committed this crime.”
A Taliban spokesman said over the weekend its men had decapitated Stanczak because the Pakistani authorities had refused to free detained insurgents.
Deputy foreign minister Jacek Najder told Polish broadcasters Monday that Poland would call on Pakistan to return the body of the first Polish hostage to die since Warsaw sided with Washington in the Iraq and Afghanistan conflicts.
Stanczak, 42, was working in Pakistan for a Polish energy company when he was seized in the volatile northwest of the country on September 28. His abductors killed his driver and his bodyguard.
Most Polish broadcasters showed only a still image from the video.
Stanczak was the father of a 13-year-old son.
“Never in Poland have we had such a situation,” said Jacek Cichocki, security adviser to Prime Minister Donald Tusk. “We see films about citizens from other countries — Americans, British — but not Poles.”
He added: “The hostagetakers initially wanted the release of 60 Islamist fighters held in Pakistan. Then they brought down the number, and ended by demanding the release of no more than four detainees.”
The killer of US journalist Daniel Pearl, slain after he was kidnapped in 2002 in Pakistan, was among those whose release was sought, Polish officials said.
