Don’t Drink and Drive, Just ask Zamboni Driver Adam Patterson of Portland, ME in the Cumberland County Civic Center

Portland, ME rarely makes headlines or the national news and I am sure the mayor Zamboni_spongebobwishes it had not for the following story. 25 year old Adam Patterson was arrested on OUI/DUI charges for operating a Zamboni while intoxicated. Would not that really be ZUI?

Patterson was charged with operating under the influence, burglary, criminal mischief and violation of bail conditions. Does it get any more embarrassing than driving a Zamboni while intoxicating?  Bail condition? Prior record? What a shock! Just another example out there to everyone … Don’t Drink and Drive!

A Portland man faces charges of drunk driving and burglary after police found him atop an idling Zamboni inside the Cumberland County Civic Center this morning.

Firefighters and police were called to the civic center at 2 a.m. for a fire alarm. It turns out someone had been driving a forklift inside the facility and had hit a sprinkler line, damaging the system and setting off the alarm.

Officers investigating the damage found Adam Patterson, 25, sitting on the Zamboni which was running but not moving. He appeared extremely intoxicated, police said. There were signs that the building had been broken into, police said.

No excuses – Do not drink & drive!

There are free cabs in every state on New Year’s.

On a cost-benefit scale, $40 for a cab when even slightly impaired is the best money ever spent.

      Hey, Yo Yo!

      Happy New Year!!

May God bless You and Yours.

      To All:

May we all learn to laugh a little more…

To see the good in all of us a little more…

And stand united knowing that none of us are alike…

But, rather, have our own distinctive personalities.

May God give us the peace that comes with appreciating every, single day, as if it is our first, but could be our last. May He give us wisdom and discernment to keep us safe from those that wish us harm. And may he grant us peace in a world that needs hope, not despair.

May God help Dinah to shred the weight of the world, find the strength inside of her that only You can provide. And grant her freedom of the wicked ones who would keep us in a state of hopelessness, if only they could. For your’s is the power and the glory forever and ever.

Allow us to have balance in our life. Knowing there is a time for everything under the sun and that your time is always the best time. Let us spend our time helping our families to see that they make it through the trials and tribulations that we all must face as the battle lines are being drawn, even in our lifetime. That the tent, under which we live will be acceptable to you in our time of judgement… and let us live through the Great War of Armageddon, that we may live under His loving reign in perfect harmony with Him, the One whom you sent forth and through whom we have been granted this privilege to come to know You, Jehovah… Our Creator… the Most High over all the earth.
