It is Not Even Halloween and they are Already Starting the PC Assault of Christmas

Once again the PC crowd and secularists taking Christ out of Christmas … Organizers have renamed it the Patchogue Holiday Boat Parade from the Patchogue Christmas Boat Parade. It is not even Halloween and the assault on Christmas has begun. According to the organizers there were complaints that the parade of less inclusive. Complaints? How many 3? One might want to look as to what the reason for the parade was. Was it, um … Christmas? The assault on Christmas begins once again in the name of inclusion. We all might want to remember “the reason for the season”. Its not about a parade … it is about the birth of Christ.

Organizers in the town on Long Island, near New York City, said the parade has had several names over its roughly 15-year existence. The name was changed again this year after complaints that the use of “Christmas” seemed to make the parade less inclusive.

“When I think about fireworks, I don’t think about Christmas anyway,” Mayor Paul Pontieri said.

The venerable Grucci company is famous for providing spectacular fireworks displays at major national celebrations. It is based in Brookhaven, not far from Patchogue.

See that’s what is wrong with this Country. Taking God out of everything is sending this country to hell. Why do we give Muslims a right to pray but Christians aren’t allowed to pray? When you start removing God from the world then evil will become present.

      God help us all

Everyone with a lick of sense knows that Christmas
is inclusive. All are welcome without having to convert
to Christianity. Christian ethic is the very source of freedom
in this country. Christians promote freedom, and Christian
philosophy is the grounding basis for our Constitution. Too
bad people of other belief systems are trying to mute the
Christmas Holiday. Socialist and/or Communist government
systems don’t like to have their total rule interfered with by
reminders of individual freedom either. Atheists and Agnostics
are also welcomed to enjoy the celebration of Christian
believers. Why the exclusion??? Why not INCLUSION?? Get
those other religions and belief system out there in order to
celebrate life. Let’s all jump in and play the game.

One not-inclusive belief system is that of the ‘Holy Government’.
You know, a collection of political-first, control freaks
desiring to survive by extracting exorbitant fees for brokering
the people’s money. They have the least incentive to look out
for and protect individual freedoms of any group. Patrolling
this group of would-be gods helps keep them honest. Beware
when they aspire to run your personal life for you. Keep religion
and it’s ethics active and openly prominent. Character doesn’t
originate in government, but, when people of character are
elected to participate in our government, we all benefit.

I think it was Henry Cabot Lodge who, while our envoy to the United Nations, said:

“Sometimes a nation abolishes God. Fortunately, God is usually more tolerant.”

Doesn’t matter whether it’s close to Christmas or not, the point is that Christ is being taken out of everything and that will be the downfall of this country.

I think you forget that the winter holiday festivities predate the christian holiday. Trees brought into the house and decorated ? Lights (originally candles) placed everywhere to help us deal with the darkness and cold of this time of year ? Gift exchange ? Drinking, and binge eating ? Hardly the stuff to celebrate the birth of a god. “Christmas” was originally celebrated in late January or February. It was then moved to Dec 25th to coincide with the larger festival on Dec 21st. The longest night of the year. There are many, many holidays celebrated at this time of year by people of many different faiths. To claim ownership by any one group is wrong. That’s why the term christmas is being taken out and a more general holiday message put out for all people. How would you feel if it had been called some other religions holiday name and YOU felt left out ? Christianity is not the majority in this world. Just enjoy this time of year and relax a little.

And if christmas is really about celebrating the birth of a child 2000 years ago, why are YOU getting a present ? That’s not what christmas is supposed to be about. Give up giving and receiving gifts if you really believe. I have.
