Caylee Anthony has been missing since June 9, 2008, finally after all the lies and 
mounting evidence pointing in the direction of the missing three year old mother, Casey Anthony is officially named a suspect by the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.
Casey Anthony is the first — and so far only — person to be called a suspect in her daughter Caylee’s disappearance, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office told WESH 2 News on Wednesday.
She is the only one who can lead investigators to the truth about what happened to Caylee, who has been missing for 79 days, an agency spokesman said.
Until now, investigators did not call Casey Anthony a suspect, usually calling her a “person of interest.”

GRACE: To famed forensic scientist Dr. Lawrence Kobilinsky from John Jay College of Criminal Justice. He is a member of the Casey Anthony defense team. Well, your client has been named a suspect, a formal suspect, the only formal suspect in the disappearance of 3-year-old Caylee. We`re not talking about a bad check, Koby (ph). What say you?
LARRY KOBILINSKY, FORENSIC SCIENTIST: Well, I think that there`s a lot of evidence raising a lot of issues about the disappearance of this 3- year-old. I think there`s physical evidence. There`s accumulating information that she has not been truthful with the police. And so this is a very challenging case for the defense. There`s no doubt about that. And obviously, I think that people are expecting the charges to be — to be brought fairly soon.

CNN: Caylee Anthony’s mom named suspect in disappearance
“Casey is a suspect,” said Orange County Sheriff’s Department Capt. Angelo Nieves. “She has been uncooperative, leading investigators down the wrong path and lying to them. She has not provided any credible information about the last time she saw her or where she was left.”
It is hardly a shock that Casey Anthony has gone from a “person of interest” to now being called a suspect in the disappearance of Caylee Anthony. It is now only a matter of time before there is an indictment. All signs and evidence have pointed toward Casey Anthony including the all too numerous fabricated stories, lies and DNA evidence
But Capt. Angelo Nieves of the sheriff’s office said Casey Anthony is a suspect because of the evidence the agency has received from the FBI indicating there was a high probability that Caylee’s body was in her mother’s trunk. He also said she has repeatedly lied to investigators.
“Well, she was the last person to person to see her daughter, and we are continuing to follow up on this information, and granted she would be a suspect,” Nieves said.

was wondering when this would finally occur. LE does have their work cut out for them. Unlike Aruba, at least our good officers/investigators at Orange Co. Sheriff’s Office WANT a resolution with the REAL perp.
What is Cindy thinking about her daughter now…I suppose it would be in the best interests of the family and neighbors included to put Casey back in jail….even if she would admit the truth I don’t think she would do it at home…the truth is probably pretty ugly….I don’t know that Cindy could deal with her on a one to one basis…somebody could really get hurt…
I would think Casey must know by now she is not going to get away with it…Baez won’t comment!!!
I think up till now that LE was trying to give Casey enough rope to hang herself. However, Casey being such a habitual liar does not know the truth from a lie and the only important person in the situation to Casey is Casey. Caylee’s demise came at the hands of her mother who was more interested in having her own sexual needs met and in my opinion drug needs fed that Caylee got in the way and Cindy was closing in on her mooching ways and “preparing” to take custody of Caylee, so Caylee had to be dealth with and she had to get one final dig in on her mom and what better way to do that then get rid of the one person she has a deep emotional connection to.
I for one being a mother of four children know without a doubt if I did the things to my children that I believe Casey has done my parents would not protect me from the consequences.
Casey needs to be locked up without bail and left to rot in her own purgatory. I do have a question about the cadaver dogs if Casey burnt the body of Caylee and only has the ashes would the dogs pick up on the scent of the ashes as they do with a human cadaver?

Brenda – you are wrong. The police are doing their due diligence here. They are making sure they have everything in order before charging her with murder. They KNOW she did it, they are just making sure they have enough to stick which is seems they do!

Could Casey’s parents be charged with obstruction of justice?
They KNOW the truth about what happened to Caylee, and have aided and abetted Casey in her lies to the authorities.
Someone needs to explain to the Anthony family that they can potentially be charged as an
“accessories after the fact”
for supporting Casey’s lies to the authorities and obstructing justice by helping her cover up the crime.

Melissa, trust me, Casey Anthony knows DAMN well the difference between a truth and a lie. No mental deficiency here…just a moral deficiency. That is what makes up a sociopath. No different than Joran or Scott Peterson who are also both habitual liars.
Seems society is not willing to accept the fact mothers can kill their kids. I am amazed at this since abortion is looked at as something less important than pulling a wisdom tooth for the majority of Americans…..not than anyone here does or does not support the murder of the unborn, but if THAT is socially accepted, you simply gotta be willing to realize it also happens once the kid leaves the womb. IMO…zero difference whatsoever. In the eyes of God? Probably zero difference whatsoever…

LE CERTAINLY DOES have their work cut out for them. Only a retard would see otherwise. They must prove beyond anything Casey’s lawyers will come out with that the forensic testing is solid. Will have to prove there is no other Zanaida Gonzolas without any shred of doubt (how do they do that?) They have to PROVE Caylee is dead (just watch Casey’s attorney screw with the jury on this one). Not only that, LE has had to wade through many thousands of pages of information.
Being I used to work in LE as a dispatcher in a VERY small town and have a number of family memebers in uniform, I see what investigators go through for the smallest of offenses to be sure all loose ends are tied up.
Soooo…before you make completely false statements about how another poster feels…go get a clue.

I have thought that theremust be alot of stressin that house.. dont think cindy and casey get along.. look what she has done to their lives.. for her own selfish needs… she snuffed the life of her child.. no way she can blame it on her x fiance tony… he passed a lie detectors test.. which incidentaly none of the anthony family has agreed to take..what does that tell you

Brenda, I totally agree with you on the moral deficiency rather than a mental deficiency. Casey has lived a life of telling lies and for the most part gotten off with a lie here and a lie there and I believe she “thought” she would get away with this one too. I think she really believed there would be media on this case, but eventually would go away and she would be able to live her lie of Caylee being kidnapped, much like Joran and the “no body no crime” way of thinking.
However, this is not Aruba and in no way will the American authorities overlook and turn a cheek to a child killing mother. And I hope she endures daily torture while locked up for the pain she so obviously inflicted on her innocent daughter. If she did not want Caylee there are millions of ppl that would have graciously taken that child to raise as their own, but Casey is a selfish bitch and deserves EVERYTHING she gets.
I believe Casey thought she would get away with murder… her rage and jealousy of this little baby girl being loved by Casey’s mother fueled the fire… The apple does not fall far from the tree….seems like Casey learned some of her lieing techniques from mom Cindy… sounds like it runs rampid in their off spring…

Can someone clear this up for me? I thought I read that Casey Anthony was searching on her computer for Zenaida Gonzales way before the Sawgrass Apt thing, so did she stalk this woman and follow her to the apt complex or what?

Has anyone noticed that sometimes Casey says the name “Zanieda” two ways while she’s being questioned? I think that’s a little odd. Also, I kinda feel Casey’s whole family knows what happened to Caylee. This whole situation is bizarre.

It really sounds stupid that Casey would surf on “missing Children” then on “chloroform” then on the name of “Zanida Gonzalez” and have these events in life unfold in front of her….
But sociopaths do stupid things because they believe they are above the law and noone can touch them…she did what she wanted to do and that was to get rid of Caylee…without a tear!

Who really knows what was going on in her head…Cindy said, she and Casey were in the pool the night of the 15th, that was Father’s Day, after she had come back from the visit to the nursing home and confronted Casey about stealing the money…that’s when the neighbors heard all the yelling and screaming….the next day Casey leaves with backpacks for her and Caylee….but when Cindy gets home the pool ladder is back in place that she had moved and the gate is opened…I think she let Caylee drown in the pool as a punishment to Cindy for reprimanding her…
Hey I am reading here about this and from what has been said by Baez so far, I believe that he is going to launch a two tired defence:
a.) Attack LE because they did not search for a live Caylee
b.) Throw a few ppl under the bus, like Jesse, Amy, Ricardo and Tony.

Perhaps we’ll never know the real story of exactly what happened, but in my gut—hearing Cindy Anthony on the 911 call reporting her missing/making the statement about the car smelling like a dead body—-that was it for me. It gave me a sickening feeling and IMHO, I just knew she was gone.

It’s about time she was charged. Four long months. It’s ironic how some people in this country receive fair justice and so many others don’t. Anthony received too much justice.
Well, from listening to baez, he has all but confirmed caylee is dead and he knows it. He stated its in caseys best interest to keep her mouth shut and say nothing. To me, that is a confession from baez. If anyone else has read or heard that , what is your opinion on his statement?

Both wooded areas they’re searching are not far from where Casey Anthony lives with her parents. One is near the Amscot at Goldenrod and Highway 50 where Casey abandoned her car in late June. Investigators have searched the area more than once with cadaver dogs.
The other area is closer to Orlando International Airport, where a driver told investigators she saw a car like Casey’s white Pontiac Sunfire parked in the median days after Caylee disappeared and she saw someone slight of build wearing a baseball cap and what looked like athletic wear walk out of the woods, someone she believes could have been Casey. It was odd to her because it’s not a popular spot for joggers.
Thursday, Casey’s attorney said it’s not in her best interest to tell what she knows about where Caylee is.
“It does her no good to show her cards to give the prosecution any advantage they have to put her away for life,” Jose Baez said.
Judging by what he said, it would seem that Casey would get herself into trouble by telling what she knows about Caylee’s whereabouts.
27 Brie…. I am thinking not… I am thinking that Cindy told that “story” so that Casey could use it down the road as an escape from getting fried in the electric chair. She needed to do this because she knew in her heart that Casey killed her granddaughter and now she wants to set it up like it was an accident.

Interesting that a witness came forth and told the police (a while ago) that she saw a car
just like Casey’s parked along road by wooded area close to airport. She saw a women with
a baseball cap (Casey wears one) walking back
to her car from the woods.
She knew the car because her girlfriend has one just like it that is why she slowed down to see if it was her. This car had bumper decals/stickers on it.
I bet there have been some screaming matches going on lately at the Anthony household as
“Casey” continues to deny deny deny that she

I agree about the screaming in the anthony home .. I have always said that I wished I was a fly on the wall in that home.. I know there has to be alot of tension going on there…I am thinking that soner or later they will drop all the support for her…

I hope TES does a search at the dump on Curry Ford. I don’t think the body is anywhere near Amscot. Casey is not dumb enough to leave the body there. She prides herself on being clever. She was planning this for months.I think a kidnapping of her own doing to get money out of the parents and that is why she left her purse in the car. Makes it look like she and Caylee were kidnapped. I think Amy messed things up for her when she took Cindy to Tonys. If that hadn’t happened I think Cindy and George would have been given the script to follow as to where to leave the money to get Casey and Caylee back. I also think Casey probably backed the car into the garage over little Caylee. She was in such a rush to get in and out before she was spotted at the house. What are the odds that Mike Walker is the father of Caylee. Haven’t seen where LE has talked to Patrick or Mike. Where did Chris get the bag of clothes he dropped off at Anthonys and why bring them with Caylee missing? Too many questions about that.

The fact that Lee Anthony refused to give DNA until he was ordered to keeps nagging at my brain. Could he have helped Casey dispose of Casey’s boday? And, though the suggestion of it makes me cringe, could he actually be the “elusive father” of the child? That’s the only reason I can think of he would be hesitant to give his own DNA.

George Anthony KNOWS CAYLEE IS DEAD. He can’t stand the sight of Casey, that’s may well be the reason he’s taken a night job, so he can sleep during the day and not have to look at Casey, then he’s gone at night. He may feel the same way about Cindy. His law enforcement career is too much a part of his “mindset” for him to deal with both women and all the blatant lies.
