MSNBC Drops Bias Hosts Keith Olbermann & Chris Matthews From Election Anchor Chair to

Na, na, na, na … na, na, na, na … hey, hey hey … GOOD BYE …

Keith Olbermann & Chris Matthews sacked from election anchor coverage. MSNBC_logo2The LEFT-wing network MSNBC is in full melt down after sending Olbermann and Matthews back to the children’s table. The comedy of this is that the NBC suits actually think that such a small act to an obvious over the top “political new coverage” bias will make a difference for the perception of the network. Who will now praise the almighty Obamamessiah?

MSNBC has announced that the Keith Olbermann and Chris Matthews have been removed from election anchors and relegated to analysts. Finally from the LEFT, some change you can believe in. It is about time NBC News and Tom Brokow took back the news and stopped embarrassing the once proud reputation of Peacock news. However, David Gregory will be assuming the anchor chair for the election and debates. Does anyone want to ask the White House or the late White House spokesman Tony Snow if David Gregory is not just as bias? Experiment? Frankenstein was an experiment as well.

Keith OlbermannCartoon

How long did it take to figure out that Olbermann was toxic?

MSNBC tried a bold experiment this year by putting two politically incendiary hosts, Keith Olbermann and Chris Matthews, in the anchor chair to lead the cable news channel’s coverage of the election.

Keith Olbermann, left, and Joe Scarborough. Mr. Olbermann’s liberal show is MSNBC’s most successful.

That experiment appears to be over.

After months of accusations of political bias and simmering animosity between MSNBC and its parent network NBC, the channel decided over the weekend that the NBC News correspondent and MSNBC host David Gregory would anchor news coverage of the coming debates and election night. Mr. Olbermann and Mr. Matthews will remain as analysts during the coverage.

Stop the ACLU: Olberman and Matthews Benched! As Hot Air so apply states, what must the NBC brass thought when chants of “NBC, NBC” during the Republican National Convention.

these token changes won’t mean a thing to anyone if the blatant bias to everything republican continues.

      Finally, MSNBC did something SMART!!!!
I used to be a fan, many years ago. No more, no more, no more. Now if they would discontinue these 2 guys shows, a step in the right direction. They cannot hold a candle to Fox News -no one can for that matter. Thanks for reporting.

Maybe they’re beginning to realize … that is, remember … that at the end of the day, even the mighty TV media are reliant on their advertisers.

And they won’t like paying the inconceivable sums that TV ads cost if viewers are angry at or disgusted with the network and go elsewhere.

This is one thing about TV that is provoking … unless there is a huge protest by viewers, there is no way I know of to influence what happens.

I sincerely wish that the American people would simply turn off the trash that is inflicted on them from TV. (So who cares what I think?) That way, maybe the whole thing could be brought back down to Earth. And maybe, just maybe, the Hollywood types would be portrayed in their proper light … as entertainers, reading lines that they are given to read, rather than as authorities on every topic in the world and as oracles with profound wisdom.

Anyone undergoing hard times in our uncertain economy should think about the megabucks that these people get to put on trash. That’s my view, anyway.

Now how will we know how many days since “mission accomplished”? Freaking moron doesn’t know the difference between ground war and insurgencey.

Bush failure? You are the biggest failure Olbermann. Can’t keep a job maybe because you are an irratating fussy pants that can’t get a grip on reality.

Finally some sense from the MSM.

Sonya, I used to watch MSNBC all the time too, when John Gibson, Linda Vester, Patti Ann Brown and others were on and it seems they left all at once and things really changed for the worse.. They always have the lowest ratings on that channel.. Last week after watching the speech of McCain’s and Palin,I turned MSNBC on just to see what they were saying.. One night Andrea Mitchell was going after Rudy Guilliani for saying don’t you think you were too hard on Obama.. clearly you could tell she wasn’t happy about the way they went after Obama’s ideas.. next night Keith Olberman was mocking John McCain and said why was McCain talking about Sarah’s nose.. wasn’t what Mccain said at all and wasn’t talking about her nose. Kinda making fun of his age… I am much younger than McCain and can’t remember things at times.. I wrote MSNBC that night and I am sure many others have.. I told them I wouldn’t be watching again unless something changed.. According to people on Gretawire,, they wrote last week too. I agree David Gregory is the same way. Keith Olberman was suppose to have said John McCain is the worst human ever. I guess Tom Brokaw even came out and said it was way out of bounds, what was going on.. according to a guy on Fox News today.

Here’s a couple more.. if we used Barb’s analysis, then we could say that Obama didn’t put Hillary on his ticket, because he was trying to lose the election.. Funny Barb don’t question why Obama dissed Hillary?

Barbra Streisand will be among the headliners at a fund-raiser for Barack Obama on Sept. 16, where she will perform for the presidential candidate at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel.

The plans for the event were outlined this morning and Streisand confirmed that she would take the stage. The hotel ballroom holds an estimated 700 people.

Obama’s fund-raiser is expected to be his final visit to raise money here before the general election.

Obama will start the evening with a 5 p.m. dinner event for about 250 people at Greystone Mansion in Beverly Hills, the historic estate once owned by the legendary Doheny family. Tickets for the event are $28,500.

Later, he will attend a reception at the Beverly Wilshire, followed by Streisand’s special performance. Tickets for the event are $2,500 per person.

Co-hosts for event include the DreamWorks team of Steven Spielberg, Jeffrey Katzenberg and David Geffen, as well as political consultant Andy Spahn. It’s also being organized with Obama’s Southern California finance team.

Streisand endorsed Obama after he secured the nomination in June. She had endorsed Hillary Clinton in the primary, and appeared and spoke at a fund-raiser for her in January. She also sang at a concert for John Kerry in 2004 and Al Gore in 2000.

The timing of this Obama visit is giving new meaning to the words, “quick turnaround,” as organizers have just eight days to put the fetes together.

On her Website, Streisand chimed in last week on John McCain’s selection of Sarah Palin, writing, “We are not that stupid.”

She wrote, “I believe John McCain chose Gov. Palin because he truly believes that women who supported Hillary — an experienced, brilliant, life-long public servant — would vote for him because his Vice President has two x chromosomes. McCain’s selection of Governor Palin is a transparent and irresponsible decision all in the name of trying to win this election.”

Lots of comments below the story that are too funny;…

      Just a few of them..

I raise the same question about Barbara Streisand as I did about the other Hollywood celebrities of her ilk … why should anyone give a damn WHAT she thinks about politics? In what does her expertise consist, the ability to write checks and shoot her mouth off?

We all have the latter right … I doubt that many of us can match her in the former one … but I for one could care less what she thinks.

      Dear MSNBC:

I believe that your news station is Bias. I watch the news not to hear journalists by-pass significant information on a particular presidential candidate and make an issue out of the religion of the female candidate

First of all, in America we have freedom of religion so right there you are violating the constitution, secondly, regardless of what religion she may be she is not going to Washington to preach the Gospel. She is going to Washington for the American people.

You had no interest in the radical Reverend Wright,William Ayers, etc. instead you were more focused on what church Governor Palin attended.

Surely as Americans, you must have seen how radical and anti-American Obamma’s pastor for 20 years was, and his close working association with William Ayres, the radical who was involved in anti American bombing.

I do not believe that Obamma himself is anti-American. But what does that say about his character judgement or rather lack of judgement. Is this the lack of judgement he will demonstrate if he is elected President?

Some of us are democrats, and some of us are republicans, some of us are independents, but we are all individuals too and I can not believe that it is has become so important for you to promote Obamma that you thought so little of his long term associations and judgement of such people. Not only are you Americans first, but you are also journalist with a responsibility to report all the facts.

I noticed you are focusing on whatever negative news about Governor Palin you think or hope you can find.

I would like you to focus on the facts for a change. I would like you to be able to tell the American public why the Governor of Alaska has over 80% approval rating and why the citizens of Alaska choose her over an incumbent. These are the facts as we know it and it would be nice if you could answer these questions to the American people.

Unfortunately, you do not seem to want to know or understand why these are the facts. Maybe you do not want the American people to understand why she is the most popular Governor in the United States. Maybe your just hoping that there is negative out there you can use to promote your candidate.

I was watching Bill Moyer yesterday (9-13-08) about the shock jocks on Radio, they showed Michael Savage, Rush Limbaugh and Bill O’Reilly saying things such as: “if you vote for Obama you don’t deserve to live”! They actually continue along that line making it more detailed in how excruciating liberals should die! Turning American’s against other American’s is the most antipatriotic thing I can think of.
Watching Chris Mathews and Keith Olbermann is a breath of fresh air. We liberal’s have a right to our opinions but we never go so far as wishing the far right to die!
Someone should put the breaks on these radical right wing pundits, with their love to hate liberals. We are not the enemy the terrorists are.
