Oh, the irony!
In the wake of those claiming to be public relations representatives for the Anthony family accusing Texas Equusearch and Scared Monkeys of profiteering off of missing persons cases, sources close to the Caylee Anthony investigation have informed us of a series of high-dollar financial deals struck with the Anthony family regarding the case.
Sources close to the case have suggested that ABC has agreed to pay the Anthony family $1,000,000.00 for exclusive interviews to discuss Caylee’s disappearance. Those same sources have also shared with us news that a Book and Movie deal has been struck with a Nashville, TN production company. These observations are being echoed by others who have come in contact with the case, including crime writer David Lohr.
In Lohr’s blog, he writes:
As an FYI, a source close to the investigation has told me that ABC News 20/20 has offered the Anthony family one million dollars for an exclusive interview. The same source claims that AIM Productions from Nashville has also offered the family one million for book and movie rights.
Is it not also ironic that ABC’s parent company, The Disney Corporation, having such close ties with the city of Orlando, Florida – not to mention being such a massive force in children’s entertainment – would be rumored to give such a large amount of money in exchange for an interview with someone with such a questionable story?

This is how LARRY GARRISON makes a living. He becomes the spokesperson for families then negotiates interviews. He gets paid by 20/20 like an agent would.
I knew Larry Garrison was involved in this the first night they announced a book/movie deal. Of course he wants to remain anonymous because he knows how badly he’ll get beat up. Wow Larry – Wow!

I cannot believe im actually reading this !!! I had so much sympathy for the gandparents of beautiful Caylee. i really felt they were victims of there daughters obvious lies and manipulations. I still don’t think they know the real truth as to what happened to Caylee. Its obvious Cindy Anthony is livng in such denial. I mean to fathom that her granddaughter is probally deseased and her discusting animal of a daughter is responsible is just so much horror for one person to come to terms with.In her heart she knows her granddaughter isnt alive but she has to come to terms with the awful reality eventually. As for 20/20 paying one millon to the Anthony family. I find that just awful and to possiblly discuss any kind of book or Movie deal before we know what actually happened to that sweet sweet angel is quite disgusting!!!!! Casey Anthony’s behavor reminds me so much of that other murdering liar Scott Peterson its almost uncanny.

I agree with the author of this story. The fact that a Disney Company would invest money in some movie deal before the police have completed their investigation is absurd! Is this what our entertainment big-wigs are doing… looking for murder mysteries involving children? As if that’s not bad enough, they choose one with a parent that is uncooperative with law officials and lies about everything involving the disappearance of her daughter!

Just to clarify, Disney did not put up money for a book and movie deal. That was from a company out of Nashville, TN called “Aim Productions”.
Disney is the parent company of ABC television network, which will air the interview on 20/20 and has supposedly paid the anthony’s $1 Million for exclusivity of the interviews, home video footage, etc. So technically, Disney is paying for the interview, but not the book and movie.
Well, no matter how much money you get, it won’t bring back that beautiful child. A human life is worth much more than can be given for a movie, book, etc. Selling your soul to the Devil, it sounds like to me. Isn’t there a law against profiting from a crime you’ve committed, once you are in jail, anyway? Anyone know?
Tes and his team and volunteer searchers are out there in the heat, the mud, the swamps, the swarming mosquitoes looking for little Caylee and the Anthony’s are doing nothing but collecting a million dollars and maybe more for a dead child….
These people are absolutely disgusting….you know what Cindy will say she did it to get the word out there that Caylee has been kidnapped and to help look for her…
So just what are the networks going to say…Cindy won’t let anything bad about them be said…just more lies and will Casey even talk, her lawyer tells her not too….the story is, Casey, an unfit mother who’s child died and she disposed of her…

Too bad the police don’t find the evidence they need, file more charges against her, make another arrest and take away bail. That’d give them the real 20/20 vision of the law!

It seems that Casey has a problem with telling the truth. Maybe nothing happened to the child? If you ignore Casey’s and grandmother Cindy’s comments (because nothing they say is true) how does the prosecution convince a jury that there was anything wrong. There is no body. What is the crime?
I cannot believe this family while TES and Scared Monkey’s do all they can to find this baby they are making movie or book deals. God bless TES & Scared Monkey’s and the people hunting for this baby cause without them she would never be found cause the family wants to end the movie or book how they want to. I would think they had the kid hid out for this purpose if it wasn’t for the FBI and their information on DNA. People please help, pray and do what you can so that TES can find this child cause I’m not sure anyone else cares if she is found or not with this family. If you can call it a family. As always my prayers are with TES and all the people searching cause they need extra prayers with this case.
Boy I saw this coming from day one. Seems like there’s never a conviction in high profile cases. Casey’s worth too much $$$ to too many now. That’s why i wondered if this whole missing child story wasn’t fabricated by the A’s to begin with. Some cases just make you feel like our justice system is a joke.
I just got home from a long day of classes (old-lady F.T college student) only to find that the world has finally gone completely mad! I haven’t lost it yet since day 1 of this circus but I am now toting the line very closely. Please somebody help me make since of this madness – why, why, why would these television networks do this – and don’t answer ratings! How long has this deal been on the table and why would Casey have taken the immunity deal if this deal had already been negotiated – You know what, as far as I’m concerned, the blood of Caylee is now on Larry Garrison and ABC’s hands as well!!
I’m challanging the Anthony Family right now – Cindy & George, if you will buy me a coach seat, round-trip ticket from Bangor, Maine to Orlando, Florida I will volunteer to search for Equusearch from sun up to sun down. I do not want to meet you or any member of the Anthony family. I simply want to report immediately to TES and help search for Caylee. I don’t have the funds to do this or else I would – you do have the funds.
Now Casey will be able to afford a top notch lawyer and will probably get off. She’ll have money left over to enjoy life now she doesn’t have to be a Mom. Only in America where news and justice are entertainment and the almighty buck rules.

I have no intention of watching the exploitation of this innocent little girl that is most probably no longer living. But I sure hope someone on here does and makes sure to note all the advertisers and posts them here. I think they derserve a little “bad press” for their part in this!

What most fail to realize is this…Casey will NEVER be able to go to any city, state, province or country, small or large again, without being attacked, beaten, choked, knifed or outright killed. This case justs get more disgusting everyday. I thought maybe Mr. Garrison put the bail up? just a thought I had. ABC did the same thing for the Sloots. Brought them to the USA , did Anitacuckoo and Paulus cuckoo interview where Anita said he put the girl on the beach and she was laughing when she said it… Will never forget that. Gutless Paulus sit there afraid to say much of anything. Wouldn’t even hardly look in the camera. Then the Joran interview on ABC Primetime, where Joran was wearing his favorite lipstick and wouldn’t look at the camera at all, lying one after another, and talked in circles. Did they get paid? It’s all about ratings and money.. Remember Scott Peterson telling Diane Sawyer, that he told Laci about his affair with Amber and Laci was ok with it. Let them do it.. I am sure everything they say will be lawyer approved first. It’s outrageous if they’ve been paid for this farce.. Poor little Caylee has been lost in all of it. Tim Miller and the searchers are the only ones who aren’t in this for any kind of gain and haven’t asked for one dime for themselves. Those are the real heroes. I have watched this family and they truly make me sick and disgust me. I don’t believe nothing they say unless I see it from the cops. The father being a former cop(homicide detect.?) is a big plus for the family. Who knows if the gas can story was even for real?

How can you go out on national tv and plead for people to look for a live Caylee when the car as tested positive for human decomposition, 2 cadaver dogs hit on it, 1 cop said it did and the mother did? The car was driven by Caylee. She claimed the car ran out of gas.. Did someone come back, break into the trunk and hide a dead body? cuckoo..Her own daughter hasn’t helped or looked for her, didn’t even report her and the mother has the nerve to attack Tim Miller and others looking… and her daughter has done nothing. Brought in Padilla thinking he would pay the bond, Casey would help look for Caylee if she got out and as soon as she was out.. Casey wasn’t talking to anyone and lawyer wouldn’t let her. Why not if she has nothing to hide and did nothing wrong? There isn’t a lawyer around who could keep me from cooperating were my child missing. Money talks and BS walks.

Geraldo seems to agree that a network is putting the money up. Don’t know where he got the info. Have you noticed that most of the coverage from local media has been very limited or none at all? This reminds me, so much, of the case of the little boy in Florida who’s mother was doing video porn and her child came up missing, supposedly. Nancy Grace put the pressure on her and she cracked up and killed herself. I’m not saying that Casey is going to do that… in fact, I think it’s doubtful. She likes herself too much, infact she is ALL she cares about. She doesn’t think in terms of doing the right thing by her family, only of getting from day to day, what she needs. (I thought that analysis was right on point) Throwing money at her and her family, isn’t going to do the trick. I think the police need to keep the pressure on her until she, finally, cracks.
Was it worth a million dollars to hear on prime-time television? Not… in fact, in many ways this will help her and the family with legal fees and those ‘personal spokesmen’ that they need to hide behind. Paying a million dollars to go on television to tell us that we’re looking at a maniac has the opposite effect than the one they seek… it, just, buys her more time to evade justice.
I thought Baez’ comment about her being a steel magnolia was quite telling… one has to wonder if he hasn’t been taken away by her charm. Personally, I like the women of steel that stand up to adversity by doing the right thing and, so far, Casey is doing all the wrong things. That’s not a woman of steel he’s seeing… She’s more of a tin-cup that’s been masterfully coached.

If this 20/20 interview was designed to have the general public feel some empathy for the Anthony family- it has failed miserably.
Nothing we didn’t already know- and all fingers point right to Casey’s guilt. What a waste of time and airwaves—doesn’t change the fact that Caylee is still missing- Tim Miller/TES still out there and the family is all nuttier than squirrel poop.
Florida has a law that a trial must begin within 175 days of initial charges. I hope they keep piling more on her. I agree w/a previous poster in stating the authorities know more than they are divulging. The investigators have been dropping bombshells little by little–it’s piling up and it is not looking good for Casey or her family.
Baez can let whatever BS story he keeps eluding to out in the trial as he stated- at that point-just like Scott Peterson a jury will deliver a verdict no matter what BS they come up with: GUILTY! She’s spending her life behind bars….just so sad for Caylee—no voice—no choice! Cindy Anthony can thank herself for that—there are so many worthy families that would have loved to adopt this child ! Looks like her plan backfired in her face…how tragic that her own Grandchild had to pay for this mistake with her own precious life.

Welcome back, Miss Katie. If a TV network, or anyone else, paid these ‘people’ money for the privilege of having their comments on a TV show, I think that even the current ‘do-nothing’ Congress might consider investigating.
Let’s hope that Texas Equusearch and the volunteers find her body. As I was saying way back when, that’s the only valid point of interest in this case. Giving the parents air time on TV is obscene.

#70…Misskatie…well Padilla who was the bail bondsman wanted to revoke the bond because he felt that Caylee was dead because of the DNA in Casey’s trunk and also because of the media and all of the problems it was causing for him. He then had a meeting with Baez, Casey’s attorney and then decided not to revoke the bond, probably used some legal issue on him…after Casey was arrested for a 2nd time for theft of her friends checkbook and sent back to jail Padilla revoked his bond and pulled up stakes and left….

Well well well… so that is how they got the money to bail casey out huh? Doing interviews, selling book and movie rights? Sickening. If they would have given Caylee half of the protection they give Casey, she’d be alive today. Thank God they only put a few seconds of a taped Cindy on 20/20 because i cannot bear to listen to her anymore. Talk about someone with their head in the sand?! Casey I have a daughter just like you and I didn’t get to see my granddaughter KATRINA, she died in Jax Florida, under strange stuff, by my daughter’s lifestyle. She just left katti in her crib dead.
No one can prove what happened to my granddaughter of 9 months old.
