Casey Anthony, the mother of missing 3 year old Caylee Anthony, has been arrested tonight by Orlando police.

UPDATE I: Casey Anthony Re-arrested
Local 6 showed video of the 22-year-old being removed from the house in handcuffs.Anthony was arrested on what are possible charges of stealing money or perhaps check fraud, Local 6 reported Friday night. The arrest had nothing to do with the disappearance of her daughter, Caylee, Local 6 reported.

Casey Anthony is nothing but ‘gutter trash’. Her parents have perpetuated her behavior and are responsible for part of what has happened to Caylee. They should have used “tough love” years ago and had her arrested on theft charges when she stole from them and other family members. Our job as parents is not to be our kids best friend. We need to be responsible parents who give our children guidance and punishment when deserved. Evidently, Casey’s parents dropped the ball in not setting boundaries for Casey and when her behavior showed a lack of trust and respect for herself and others. Turned her over to someone who could have redirected her if that was possible. Now she has more than likely progressed into a baby killer. I think Nancy Grace is right – Casey is a Sociopath!!! If Casey is convicted of murder, regardless of how it happened, she deserves the death penalty!!!!!

This woman IS in DENIAL and needs to be admitted to a mental institution! How can she make these statements on TV that she believes her daughter and thinks Caylee is still alive? The only thing I can think of is that she may be in shock from all of it. I don’t know, there is something definetly wrong there,too.
They are searching near Orlando airport tommorrow….Thank godness for Tim/TES/Volunteers…..The angry mobs outside the house……don’t think it is going to stop anytime soon. While I don’t wish any harm to come to her parents, if they had done something not to enable this type of behavior from Casey sooner….perhaps now they wouldn’t be living through this hell……The Anthony’s all appear to be nuttier than squirrel poop.

God bless the Anthony family and God bless little Caylee. I feel so sorry for Casey’s parents. Seeing Cindy putting the no tresspassing signs in the yard and seeing George today when he blasted those people in his yard, I have to say that I don’t blame either of the parents. My heart goes out to them. They are obviously in such terrible pain and have an awful burden on their shoulders. Come on people, have some sympathy for this family and offer them support. I agree, the focus should be on finding Caylee. If Casey is guilty of anything, it will come out sooner or later. For now, stop the protesting and start searching, stop ridiculing the Anthony parents and start supporting them. Start praying for God to bring closure to this situation and give Cindy, George and Lee some peace and pray that they find Caylee really soon.
Lisa—IMO- no good Christian wishes Cindy, George or Lee any harm….but the denial, lies, blaming others has just got to stop.
Was Casey’s focus ever on her daughter? They are tough questions…but keep in mind that an innocent child should not have had to pay for the ignorance and mistakes of their own Mother. Even as parents, we all sometimes makes mistakes…but it is way too soon to be preaching about forgiveness.
Caylee had no choice—she had no voice! There are just too many of us who are sickened by watching how this family has been behaving in the press….how DARE they try and complain that investigators in this case haven’t been doing anything?? Come on—already the Orlando PD and private investigatory outfits have spent countless resources, time and man hours and have given Casey Anthony every chance to “help find her daughter.”
Even though in this country everyone is innocent until proven guilty, the writing is on the wall and to continue this charade is just insulting.
Time for answers and actions from that Sociopath temporarily behind bars again instead of more lies and impeding the investigation. If she wants those protestors to leave her parents property…why doesn’t she lead TES to the remains of her child? This would be the right thing to do…people are po’d at the parents for enabling Casey and allowing this mockery of justice to continue. The more Cindy Anthony pleas to the public and says stupid things like “maybe another body was put in the trunk and did you call or check the security at the towing yard?” Come on, are you serious??? Forensic and DNA evidence in the trunk is concrete! To make comments like these only adds more insult to injury already done. The Anthony’s lawyers should advise Cindy to shut her mouth….really—it’s degrading at best.
JUSTICE FOR CAYLEE
Anyone who has ever been a parent remembers your baby’s first laugh, its first words, first steps, and so on into adulthood. You especially remember the tender years. Sitting up all night with them when they have their first head cold, clearing their nose for them. And let’s not forget changing diapers. You develope a bond so strong you could not have imagined it before. But I could never be like Cindy Anthony. I think she should be prosecuted for obstructing the investigation into the death of little Caylee. And I agree with #4. Casey Anthony deserves the death penalty.
Kudos to LE. I’m thrilled that they did the arrest this way. They are doing a stellar job in this case.
The idiot attorney Baez assured the public that Casey needed to get out of jail to help find her daughter. BS! She’s been out a week and stays in her room on the computer interacting with a 12 year old instead of giving information on her own child.

Lisa, I respect your opinion but I disagree. I have been here for weeks watching these parents lie, deceive and do anything they can to cover up for Casey. I cannot feel sorry for people who continue to enable Casey’s behavior and live in the same manner as she does. Grief, pain and worry do not cause you to call people maggots, parasites and leeches. Hurt doesn’t cause you to allow your granddaughter to lie in some unknown grave and not somehow get that information from your daughter, who knows where she is. My sympathy for the Anthony family is long gone. You reap what you sow.
Caylee IS the focus here. The entire nation is focused on this child. We’re the ones who got Tim Miller and Equusearch involved, not the family, even though they knew about Tim several weeks ago. We (meaning the public) are the ones out searching the fields, retention ponds and dumpsters for this baby, NOT the family. Cindy spends her time now questioning the witnesses in an attempt to clear her daughter and telling US to get off our asses and find her granddaughter. Whose focus is distorted here now?
Cindy and George have lied countless times and changed their stories as often as their underwear. Nope. No sympathy from me. In fact, I think they need to be sitting right next to their daughter for obstruction.
Let’s hope, first and foremost, that Texas Equusearch and its volunteers are successful in their efforts to find this girl. I think that is the most important thing to be done at this time.
Well call me mean or whatever but I do not feel much for the parents. This girl should have been on medication years ago and strictly supervised by a medical team. If a criminal waltzes into my house and stays whenever it is convenient and the leaves and steals from me, I will notice and I will do something, especially if this criminal is in charge of a small child!!!

My question is should we be searching for a living Caylee or deceased? When you say we should be searching for Caylee what do you mean? search where? Under our pillows? The only way anyone would know where to look is if her Mother would provide some legitimate information on where to look. For now the only direction towards finding her is following the evidence. Unfortunatly that only leads to a decomposing body in the trunk of her car, and of course the non existent Zenaida.
It is hard to sympatize with a family who’s only concern appears to be in supporting the lies and deceit of a daughter who may have caused great harm & possibly death to their helpless innocent grandchild.
I understand what everyone is saying and I do agree with you mostly. However; I still feel sorry for Cindy, George and Lee. They have no other choice but to believe Casey’s lies. They can’t accept the thought that Casey could have (and most probably) did something to Caylee. Hope is all they have and sometimes hope is the only thing to make us get up each morning. Yes, like many, my first thought would be to beat it out of Casey if I had to, to make her tell me where my grandchild was. But, if you’ve ever dealt with a lying and manipulative child you’ll know this is easier said than done. Some people would rather climb a tree and lie, rather than stand on the ground to tell the truth. I’ve witnessed this personally and know that there’s not much you can do.
Cindy is a nurse, she knew the mental state of Casey. But never did anything about it, George is an ex-cop and never did anything about it but apparently that didn’t bother Casey, she stoled money from her grandparents which was needed for the nursing home for her grandfather…
Casey steals from anyone she can…
And no the towing company did not put a dead body in her trunk…
I hope all the protesters and others will give Tim a hand in helping to search for Caylee…I believe I read somewhere that the search began near the airport.
The new arrest will hold Casey in jail until the revoking of the bond is completed. I think Casey has seen her last look at what the outside of jail looks like…
Just saw a video on CNN and Padilla met with Casey’s attorney and now he has changed his mind about revoking the bond…..but doesn’t say why..before it was he read the documents and learned about the DNA and said Caylee was dead.
Maybe Casey has agreed to start talking to him but something changed inside that attorney’s office…if he believes Caylee is dead why stick around…did the attorney find some reason for the bond not to be revoked….so now another bond will be posted and Casey gets out…the public is not going to be happy about this….
Padilla hasn’t even begun a search, he just sits outside the house in his mobile home and checks pizza deliveries, if they didn’t order it then simply refuse it…I thought he was a bounty hunter…if he wants to do something worthwhile help Tim Miller…
The attorney and the family are probably blaming Padilla for posting the bond in the first place saying it brought the media and the protesters to the house…so I guess he is being forced to protect the family, so now he has to provide a security service…I bet he’s sorry he even got into this one….

This whole charade is just crazy. If Casey’s claims of having having to keep secrets to protect her daughter were true at any time, they are not true now. They can’t be.
Who on earth has it out so bad for Casey that they would keep her daughter this long?? 3-year-olds can be sweet and cute, but they can also be a handful. If I kidnapped one, it wouldn’t be for very long. If I was told to take Caylee to New York but then found that there was a HUGE reward, well, I’d be for collecting that reward by now.
I find it very hard to believe that anybody who was “holding” Caylee would go to these lengths.
And by the by, George. You said that you know who “kidnapped” Caylee…and that those people are being watched. If that is the case, get off YOUR ass and go and get her!!!

he also said… I could be driving the billboard around today and I could see my own granddaughter.
That implies he doesn’t know.

After dealing with all the irrational responses of the Anthony family, I think someone ought to check for a carbon monoxide leak in that house. They’re all running on empty…maybe that accounts for the gas can thefts.

The whole family dynamics is very dysfunctional. The grandmothers behavior ia so strange she reminds me of scott petersons mother.
She caters to Casey so much but at the same time grandma has used manipulation herself in the fact she talked her daughter into keeping caylee. casey wanted to give her up for adoption. Grandma acts like she is the mother and not the grandma it is just to wierd. Cindy is a nurse and George is a cop and both should know what a dead body smells like trust me once you smell that odor you never forget it. They are protecting the Casey and nothing more. I felt sory for them in the begining now I just think they are as crazy as their daughter.
It’s worth noting that, according to what I’ve been told, the re-arrest of this woman today was on a charge of writing checks on someone else’s account, or something like that.
It’s not related to Caylee’s disappearance … as far as I know. If I’m wrong, I wouldn’t be surprised.
Don’t forget, she contacted 12 year old Dakota through email. It says on the Orange County website that she is to have no contact with
anyone under the age of 17.
Why would Orange County have that posted
on their website if it were untrue?

#22 Lise, you are correct about knowing the smell of a dead body, especially if it has gone through any steps of decomposition. I ran camera for a news story where a victim had been left in an un-air conditioned apartment for a week in the hot August south Georgia heat. There is absolutely no mistaking it for anything else.
