Illinois Obama and the Temple of Doom … TOGA, TOGA, TOGA
Barack Obama’s setting where he will deliver the most important speech of his life is a Greek Temple? What is this, “Illinois Obama and the Temple of Doom?” What did the past McCain ad say about Barack Obama and his celebrity status? As Power Line has posted … a Greek Temple … maybe their will be a toga party as well? How soon into the event will a TOGA, TOGA, TOGA chant begin? This will for sure win over middle America and independent voters. Its just more of the same when it comes to Obama … all glitz and no substance.
The stage, similar to structures used for rock concerts, has been set up at the 50-yard-line, the midpoint of Invesco Field, the stadium where the Denver Broncos’ National Football League team plays.
Some 80,000 supporters will see Obama appear from between plywood columns painted off-white, reminiscent of Washington’s Capitol building or even the White House, to accept the party’s nomination for president.
He will stride out to a raised platform to a podium that can be raised from beneath the floor.
If Obama’s message is change we can believe in then why is he reporting back thousands of years to a Greek temple setting? Charles Krauthammer of the Washinton Post asks, Has he lost his mind?
The Berlin folly — in English.
The Superbowl Halftime Show — without the game.
What’s the finish? Maybe Obama’s got Zhang Yimou to do the hidden-rope trick, and have him lifted, Beijing-style, to the heavens when he’s done. Will he reappear three days later at the Bird’s Nest?

You know what the bible says about false Gods?…
It’s against it.
You Sir, are no John Kennedy.
Are they then going to have him rise up into the sky into a shining light????
Doesn’t “Barack Obama” sound like some sort of dystentary-type ailment they had in Africa years ago ? (“He came down with Barack Obama, lost 40 pounds and almost died.”) If this sounds crazy, read Beryl Markham’s book “West with the Night” about her experiences as an aviatrix in 1920′s Africa. She flew medicine to people in the bush dying from all kinds of ailments, many that had not been given a medical name. Some of the ailments she describes were probably AIDS, not diagnosed until 60 years later.
What does he think he is doing making a movie????
Wonder what our past candidates for the Presidency think about that!!!
And what is Hillary and Bill actually saying under their breath…OMG!
i hope you right wing clowns realize that Bush accepted his partys nomination on a similar stage 4 years ago.

So is the rock star Messiah going to be on a revolving stage…???
Or will be fly over the stadium on his Obama magic carpet…?
Or will he anger the Greek Gods and Zeus will send a thunderbolt…?
Or will there be rides and fireworks…?
I thought this was a political convention not an outdoor play….
#7…sent my post to soon…also wanted to say with all the props it seems way to dramatic….
Well if he doesn’t make it to the White House maybe he can try out in Hollywood…
it seems to represent the Lincoln memorial somewhat.
or another building with simular style like i saw in D.C.
and like ryan said, just look at the 2004 RNC stage in NYC.
from what i’ve seen, the stage is hardly noticably among the crowd of 75.000 anyway.
We are in trouble. If Barack becomes president, we will be in worse shape. Doesn’t people understand he doesn’t care about America? He is so full of himself. He already believes he will be president and lets everyone know. He’s just plain scary and not because he’s black.
well, the empty suit has made his acceptance speech and i have to say it sounded great. unless you take out all the out and out lies and spins. obama is an empty suit even if he is the most accomplished liar second only to bill clinton himself. hillary is a close third.
dennisintn
Didn’t watch any of it, & from some of the clips I am seeing on this morning’s news…thank God.
Too much pomp & circumstance….just an over-rated dog & pony show…too bad because it does distract from the fact that Obama did make history. Notice how classy McCain was in publicly acknowledging this.
Anyway- Obama may get slight blip from this in the polls…won’t last long just like his big speech in Germany.
