Status Quo You Can Believe In … Obama Chooses Senator Joseph Biden as VP Running Mate … CHANGE?

CHANGE? … STATUS QUO YOU CAN BELIEVE IN

Obama_biden_sm_08

Democratic Presidential Barack Obama nominee has picked Delaware Senator Joseph Biden as his Vice Presidential running mate. CHANGE … hardly? What does a choice of an inside the Beltway senior Senator tell us about Obama’s Change you can believe in? Biden is hardly a candidate of CHANGE. Biden has been a US Senator for 35 years. Biden is an “Insider”. Isn’t this exactly what Obama has railed against during the Democratic primaries, that the US needs change. However, in the end any talk of change by Obama was overshadowed by his absolute inexperience on foreign policy and to be President.

The candidate of change went with the status quo.

In picking Sen. Joe Biden to be his running mate, Barack Obama sought to shore up his weakness — inexperience in office and on foreign policy — rather than underscore his strength as a new-generation candidate defying political conventions.

He picked a 35-year veteran of the Senate — the ultimate insider — rather than a candidate from outside Washington, such as Govs. Tim Kaine of Virginia or Kathleen Sebelius of Kansas; or from outside his party, such as Sen. Chuck Hagel of Nebraska; or from outside the mostly white male club of vice presidential candidates. Hillary Rodham Clinton didn’t even make his short list.

For all the cute speeches about change, for all the railing upon the Washington Obama_BidenInsiders as being the problem, for all the posturing that change is needed for the sake of change … Obama in picking Joseph Biden showed his true colors and Obama’s ultimate lack of inexperienced to be President. In the end Obama’s image is tarnished as his campaign slogan should now read … Status Quo You Can Believe in: Obama/Biden 2008”. The Obama-Biden ticket is hardly the choice that most Democrats wanted to energize the base and the upcoming Democratic National Convention. Frankly, after all the build up the choice kinda fell flat.

The picks say something profound about Obama: For all his self-confidence, the 47-year-old Illinois senator worried that he couldn’t beat Republican John McCain without help from a seasoned politician willing to attack. The Biden selection is the next logistical step in an Obama campaign that has become more negative — a strategic decision that may be necessary but threatens to run counter to his image.

After all Obama’s posturing … he picks Dick Cheney as his running mate. Someone who will give the Obamamessiah gravitas.

His choice for VP further emphasizes that he is inexperienced and a fraud.

Wow, guess I called this one wrong….so what is Hillary’s role now? She has asked to be on the role call at the convention.

This is gonna get interesting. Hope Hillary shows in Denver….and will be fascinated to see if she can put on a ‘happy, unified face’.

well, if we’re unfortunate and dumb enough to elect these two, the best we could hope for is that biden gets the night shift and answers that 3:30a.m. phone call. he’ll be better able to explain what’s going on to the left wing extremists on the west coast that will make the final decision of the country’s course of action.

For me, the bottom line on Obama is that he has some great ideas but no clue as to how to accomplish them. That’s the one thing that has consistently come through. He’s gotten help from the Chicago political machine to get in the U.S. Senate and the U.S. Presidential race, but has no idea how to accomplish the things he wants. He really does not yet have the knowledge and experience to handle the serious problems this country faces. He’s built a strong base of support by saying he doesn’t like the same things so many others don’t like. He’s just not offering any viable solutions.

Hmmmnnnn….is it me? Or does Obama’s pick in Biden seem like just another compromise on all of his rhetoric about CHANGE????

I agree it further exposes his acknowledgement that he is too inexperienced to do the job himself.

Hope for what exactly? Change we can believe in? LOL yah ok- throw that theory right out of the window—just more of the same.
