Babeland Shop … Family Friendly Sex Shops??? What’s Next Babysitting Services?

Hey America … there is no need to take your children to Disney World anymore when you can take them to a kid friendly porn shop. Next up on the main stream posn will be family friendly brothels. WTF!!!

Babeland shops try to BS the American public into main-streaming porn.   Now we are presented with family friendly sex shops for the couple who wishes to bring their children and infants to buy porn. They even offer infant changing tables. Great. Why don’t they offer baby sitting services as well as mom and dad shop for #$%@, ok we will keep it clean. Great, now we can have families and perverts in the same local. Parents, feel free to bring your daughters, at your own risk.

This reeks of trying to desensatize America and making porn acceptable and mainstream. They claim they are taking the sleeze out of this part of the sex industry. You think a nice color scheme, upbeat music and well dressed saleswomen are going to do that? Yea right … its called lipsticking a pig.

Unlike the older sex shops, which are dark and dingy, the Babeland store has upbeat music, well-dressed saleswomen and infant changing tables — marketing itself as a fun place for couples to shop. It’s part of a growing trend that has been spreading from Louisville to Los Angeles in an attempt to take take the sleeze out of this part of the sex industry.

“If you walk into a mainstream sex store, you’ll probably be greeted with explicit imagery and a sort of artificial sexuality, like a woman with blonde hair with her head thrown back, something that’s meant to titillate in the moment,” said Babelands’s owner Claire Cavanah.

Try and spin it any way you want … its porn. Its just a marketing scheme to make people feel ok about buying something that they would normally be ashamed and embarrassed to. Funny, I thoughts thats what the internet was for.

Uh … are you going to tell me that a man would bring his wife into a porn shop, to say nothing of his kids?

      Tell me it ain’t so.

Or is this sort of thing aimed at the guy who has to take his kids somewhere, and thinks that it will be okay if they go to ….

It leaves me shaking my head in disbelief, but just about everything does that these days.

Am I the only one to suspect that the kids would be molested while the parent(s) are off doing their own thing? Or am I being Victorian?

No big deal. Good upscale porn shop have been around for a couple of years in the west.

Sex is a normal part of life, I don’t see why it is considered so taboo by people.

If you don’t like them or what they offer simply don’t go inside. Easy as that.

#1- Richard—You are not being Victorian in the least. I say there is a time and a place for everything and somehow—the words “kid-friendly” just do not belong aside pornography.

#2. Yoyo- I agree in that one does not have to frequent these shops, but once again you seem to be missing the point of the article. Americans are not as liberal as, say Europeans when it comes to acceptance and mass media marketing of Erotica in general. We all like sex, YoYo and I don’t have a problem with any legal age adult (18+) who choses to either express their sexuality or entertain themselves with upscale porn. Fully aware that my 14-yr old Son has already peeped at the Playboy mag, and probably would have successfully surfed the net for more hard-core porn if not for the parental controls in place. My preference is that my minor children stay innocent as long as possible and that the 2 are not combined or easily accesible for them. “Kid/Family Friendly” porn shops??? just plain creepy to me….Taboo my A*#-it’s not NORMAL.

New Girl – so what’s the point then?
These kinds of higher-end shops have been around for years so it can’t be that. A woman with her kid in a stroller can walk on by or go in – her choice. So it can’t be that. You can’t be under 18 and walk into one by yourself so it can’t be that.
Oh, I get it, you want to impose your ideas of morality and values on others.
BTW – as his punishment for looking at the evil playboy, did your kid get 10 lashings from a switch you made him pick out or did he have to read the bible 10 times?

LOL YoYo—talk about judging someone over the internet and via a blogsite….Man, do you have me all wrong! LOL

POINT IS= CHILD/KID FAMILY FRIENDLY PORN SHOPS ARE JUST INAPPROPRIATE !

I am imposing my ideas…on no one, Yoyo Muffin Mix Man. We all come here to post opinions, comments, general rants and raves, exchange ideas and gather info—don’t we? I know you think I suck, that’s okay. lol

And, I don’t “punish” my children like that, how about just suspending priviledges when necessary, Asswipe. I also don’t go to Church on Sunday, so bite me. (You wish) =)~ xoxoxoxo

Love, your Old Friend- NEW GIRL FROM BOSTON

      *****GO CELTICS SWEET # 17 ********

Congrats to your Celtics – being a life long Lakers fan that was painful. But the best team won!
Did I deserve “asswipe” on the punishment thingy…probably. Do I think you suck…not in the least.
Throw down a Jameson on me for breaking the 17yr drought.

“Sex is a normal part of life, I don’t see why it is considered so taboo by people.”

We Americans are not, of course, as enlightened as the Dutch or Arubans on this subject … but we still have our primitive ideas that CHILDREN are not to be subjected to this sort of thing.

For some reason, the Dutch political party that calls for legalization of sexual relations between adults and children hasn’t gotten much of a following here.

Why, we Americans are so backward that most of us (I assume) think that such groups as NAMBLA (the North American Man-Boy Love Association) are not only despicable, but are beneath contempt.

The presence of children in a porn shop is not to be encouraged, in my view. I’m sure that the Dutch and Arubans would find this idea naive.

Creepy- do they mean to encourage bringing the kids into a porn shop? How is that idea even feasible when the age limit to enter a porn store is 18?

I have no problem if they want to remodel/refurbish the stores, but thinking of it as a “family friendly” place is a little too much to stomach.

Leave the kids at home when you buy your porno!

    9. Liza on August 7th, 2015 3:33 pm

This is not a porn shop. They sell sex toys, lubricants, and contraceptives. There is no porn. There are adult toys, without nudity or explicit mentions of sex. Instead, eloquent, well dressed employees can give you information on how to use your toy if you want it. This entire article is completely getting its information wrong.
