Obama’s Gaffes … Little Mr. Sunshine … Where are we Again Sweetie? … This Time its all About Sunshine

Barack Obama … Little Mister Sunshine:

This is getting to become a weekly event and embarrassing. Just how many Duh1Mulligan’s does Obama get? Barack Obama has done it again in being geographically challenged. Does Barack Obama ever actually know where he is when he is campaigning? Or do his handlers just push him out on stage with his canned stump speech. Obama has made yet another gaffe of the spoken word. Seeing that Florida is a major swing state and a must win in the Fall when it comes to the electoral college, Obama may want to pay a bit more attention when campaigning in Sunshine.

For Obama, a Bright, Sunshiny Day

SUNRISE, Fla. — At first, it seemed as if Barack Obama might just be speaking figuratively, as is his wont sometimes. “How’s it going, Sunshine? Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you everybody. It’s good to be in Sunshine!” Obama declared on taking the stage this afternoon for a rally at the BankAtlantic Arena in Broward County, Fla., just west of Ft. Lauderdale.

Obama, who often comments admiringly on the climate and regional aura of his various destinations, may simply have been evoking the warmth of the Sunshine State, which he campaigned in for the first time this week after staying away for months to observe the Democratic Party’s primary ban against the state. Or perhaps it was a term of endearment, similar to his recent (and later regretted) use of “sweetie” in speaking to a woman reporter.

But then he said it again, and again — “When we are unified sunshine, nobody can stop us!” — and it became clear: Obama thought he was in Sunshine, Fla. But he was not. He was in Sunrise, the name given to this particular swath of South Florida palm trees, bungalows and outlet stores.

Al Gore … Global Warming? … Jupiter in the Balance … Are Earthlings to Blame?

Here is some more fodder for the global warming crowd. Rumor has it that Al Gore is planning a trip to Jupiter to discuss the issue of global warning and humans effects on Jupiter’s environment. I knew humans should not have started colonizing on Jupiter.

Leave your comments as to who Al Gore should blame for the increase in temperature on Jupiter.

Explanation:  Now, Jupiter has a third red spot, again produced from a smaller whitish storm. All three are seen in this image made from data recorded on May 9 and 10 with the Hubble Space Telescope’s Wide Field and Planetary Camera 2. The spots extend above the surrounding clouds and their red color may be due to deeper material dredged up by the storms and exposed to ultraviolet light, but the exact chemical process is still unknown. For scale, the Great Red Spot has almost twice the diameter of planet Earth, making both new spots less than one Earth-diameter across. The newest red spot is on the far left (west), along the same band of clouds as the Great Red Spot and is drifting toward it. If the motion continues, the new spot will encounter the much larger storm system in August. Jupiter’s recent outbreak of red spots is likely related to large scale climate change as the gas giant planet is getting warmer near the equator.

German Parents of the Year, NOT! … Post Baby on eBay for 1 Euro

There is no shortage of bad parents in the world. This time the unfit parents Ebay-logo2come from Germany where they posted their 7 month year old boy on eBay for 1 Euro or about $1.60. Thankfully, authorities have taken custody away from the child. This is not the first time that babies have been for sale on eBay.

Authorities in southern Germany have taken custody of a 7-month-old boy after his parents posted an ad on eBay offering to sell him for one euro, or about $1.60.

Police spokesman Peter Hieber says the baby was placed in the care of youth services in the southwestern Allgaeu region.

Hieber said on Saturday that the mother told police the Internet ad was only a joke. Authorities have begun an investigation into possible child trafficking against the parents.

No offers were made for the child in the two hours and 30 minutes the ad was posted. The Internet auction site deleted the posting later.

Hillary Clinton: I’m Staying in Race, You Never Know if Obama Could Gets Shot Like Robert Kennedy … Assassination Comments!!!

Hey Obama, if your people are actually discussing having Hillary as your VP, you may want to rethink that idea. I am not sure if you want you potential VP talking or even thinking assassination thought.

Hillary Clinton defended her staying in the Democratic race, according to he Wtf_dudeNY Post, raising the assassination of Robert Kennedy. Geez Hillary, how to you really feel? Talk about wanting to win at all cost. This might be that Austin Powers moment when he was un-thawed and shouted out what he was thinking, not actually realizing that anyone heard his comment. That may actually be a better excuse for Hillary. Blame it on Cryogenics de-thawing.

I guess this it was we refer to in the political industry as a shot across the bow, literally. This may be the dumbest comment of the political season. With the Clinton’s, its all about the victory.

Hillary Clinton today brought up the assassination of Sen. Robert Kennedy while defending her decision to stay in the race against Barack Obama.

“My husband did not wrap up the nomination in 1992 until he won the California primary somewhere in the middle of June, right? We all remember Bobby Kennedy was assassinated in June in California. I don’t understand it,” she said, dismissing calls to drop out.

Clinton regrets Kennedy assassination remark

Michelle Malkin asks the question whether this is the final death nail for Hillary Clinton. I would go one better. How can Barack Obama after such a comment in any good conscience put Hillary Clinton as a Veep on his ticket? If Obama does, he may have to grow eyes in the back of his head. Who succeeds the President?

Hot Air discusses the controversial comments and the obligatory defense of the statements after the Obama camp “shot back” guns a blazin.

“She was simply referencing her husband in 1992 and Bobby Kennedy in 1968 as historic examples of the nominating process going well into the summer. Any reading into beyond that would be inaccurate,” responded Clinton campaign spokesperson Mo Elleithee.

UPDATE I: Clinton faces uproar with Kennedy assassination comment

UPDATE II: Hillary Clinton Raises the Specter of the Unspeakable

Smart candidates don’t invoke the possibility of their opponents being killed. This seems so obvious it shouldn’t need to be said, but apparently, it needs to be said.

UPDATE III: HILL’S ‘ASSASSIN’ TALK A SHOCKER

Any comments about assassination and the primary contest are especially sensitive because Obama is the first African-American to advance so far in the race for the White House and he has faced threats, congressional sources have said.

The Rev. Al Sharpton, who has already expressed anger toward Clinton during the race, planned to spend his rally today at his Harlem-based National Action Network addressing “a sense of outrage and dismay at statements made by” the New York senator, according to his office.
