Barack Obama Calls his Grand Mother a “Typical White Person” … What Hypocrisy

How typical of you Obama … trying to explain your way out of a bad situation by only making it worse. That usually happens when one lies to explain away another lie. YOU ARE A TYPICAL POLITICIAN.

Can you imagine if Hillary Clinton called someone a “typical black person”? Could you imagine the fire storm that would occur if a Republican called any one a typical black person? Imagine Barack, your grand mother was such a typical white person that some how she managed to raise a daughter that saw through color barriers and married you. Call that typical? Hardly. What is more typical is that you would attend an all black church that preaches a militant message and divides rather than brings people of races together only for votes and street cred. That is politically typical.

Obama Helpfully Clarifies That His Grandmother Is a “Typical White Person”

In Philadelphia this morning, Barack Obama confronted the remains of the Jeremiah Wright brushfire, the smoldering embers of this anecdote of his grandmother using racial stereotypes that made him cringe… and promptly spilled gasoline on those embers.

610 WIP host Angelo Cataldi asked Obama about his Tuesday morning speech on race at the National Constitution Center in which he referenced his own white grandmother and her prejudice. Obama told Cataldi that “The point I was making was not that my grandmother harbors any racial animosity, but that she is a typical white person. If she sees somebody on the street that she doesn’t know (pause) there’s a reaction in her that doesn’t go away and it comes out in the wrong way.” (NRO)

Barack Obama tries to explain that ‘good people’ still hold racial stereotypes

Funny Barack, you did not have that same opinion when you called for Don Imus to be fired. Or was that different? HOW TYPICAL!

Read Obama’s spokeperson explanation that does not help at all.

What kind of nonsense talk is that? Well then Obama you are a “typical black person” and have no business being a candidate for the President of the United States….what’s between those flaps you have hanging on the side of your head….and your wife could not represent a “First Lady”, she is the last lady that anyone would put in the White House…get yourself out of the election…

    2. brie on March 21st, 2008 7:47 am

I think all black pastors that are preaching hatred need to be crucified….I live in a predominately white neighborhood but we a have a few black people….they maintain their property and they don’t cause any trouble…I address this folks and always try to be very cordial, I will continue this path but I do not support in anyway what Obama is about…….he is stirring a great deal of trouble because of his association with black bastards…!!!

I can tell you this…if you cross my path with an attitude, I’m going to say N~~~er! This all brings things to mind, my aunt who lived in Alabama was bedfast and Susie, a black lady, was hired to take care of her..an excellent job of care…we went to visit and Susie never ate at the table…she didn’t feel worthy…until my mother said “Why Not” …after that Susie was treated with love and respect….their is love in the world but some people fail to see it…or don’t want too!!!

This comment by Obama is not only wrong-headed, but sickening. I suppose that the ‘typical black person’ is ready to embrace every other black person he or she sees on the street?

My information is, most crime in the ‘black community’ (and what a nebulous concept that is, although the media use it unthinkingly and reflexively) is done by other blacks.

I can also tell Sen. Obama that I lived for eight years in Japan. As a short (5’2″) man, I was relatively non-threatening in appearance, and in fact was shorter than most Japanese. (This worked in my favor in finding work, I think.)

Even so, many Japanese, especially in rural areas, looked at me with a distinct kind of initial apprehension.

So there’s something ‘uniquely white’ in this?

Perhaps Sen. Obama will visit Rwanda, where the Hutus and the Tutsis fought each other in an ‘ethnic cleansing’ war that I still can’t even begin to understand.

      But I guess that’s OK … they’re not white.

    5. brie on March 21st, 2008 9:12 am

I would never put a N~~~er in the White House…!!!

So Obama, widening the divide, again.

I am starting to truly think Obama hates America too.

I worry about electing a man for President that has such close family ties (first generation)to a country in Africa where there is such politcal corruption and bloodshed over the election results. If this man was from a Black family that originated from slaves here in America or even from a black family that emigrated here 3 to 4 generations ago, I would not be worried that he has Africa’s best intestest at heart rather than America’s — but in this case — Obama’s father is from Africa and thus Obama’s close relatives on his father’s side are all from Africa. Obama is part white and part black — but it is obvious that now that he is an adult he has chosen to enbrace his father’s people rather than his mother’s people. But the question is — is it the obvious militant black community of America (I say that because of his choice of Religious leader and what he preaches) — or is he aligned with his literal African first cousins — and will bring our country to bloodshed like his cousin’s recently did in their election. This is truely a concern of mine, and I thank you for letting me express it.

Hmm so one shouldnt be afraid when encountering a stranger on the streets…too bad someone didnt tell that to the Auburn and UNC students that were recently murdered by a couple of ‘typical black people’. Obama has a problem and a definite chip on his shoulder too. Its very easy to see this. I never look at my black best friend as being black…I never looked at the Hispanics and African Americans who sat in a church service with me last night on Holy Thursday as black or Mexican. I look at them as friends and share a bond with them…why?? because these people act more like me than a lot of white people. I suppose these arent your ‘typical mexicans’ or ‘typical blacks’ huh?

When IT’S ALL IN THE FAMILY why can’t it be OK?
Barack Obama is speaking about someone in his family which is quite different than speaking about an external person.

    10. txchic on March 21st, 2008 2:12 pm

obama had his one shot at an explanation. now the only thing he can do is firmly insert his foot. he needs to leave it alone.

    11. LilPuma on March 21st, 2008 2:19 pm

I used to think Obama was lacking the experience that Clinton keeps referencing, based on some of the things he’s said about issues like immigration, keeping jobs in the U.S., Pakistan, and others. Now he’s showing a way of thinking that says to me he should not be in the White House. At least not yet. I sat talking with a black man at the eye doctor about Obama. Until he asked me about the topic, his “blackness” didn’t occur to me. There’s a black couple that live across the hall from me. I rarely see them as this is an in-town apt. for them, but their race is not an issue for me or any of my neighbors. There’s an Asian woman down the hall, I see a Muslim woman on the elevator at times. It’s just not an issue in many places for many many people. Obama seems to be the one with blinders on. Are there racial problems and prejudices? Absolutely! But those for Obama want him to help fight those problems and it seems to me he has to fight his own prejudices first. I was almost in tears reading about a Chinese couple that “crumbled” because of communication problems and (apparent) prejudice when they tried to run a restaurant in Georgia. I talk frequently with a Muslim store owner about some of our differences – religious and cultural. Same with an Indian with whom I discuss these same topics. This, along with the black man at the doctor’s office talking with me about Rev. Wright, is what will eventually bridge that gap. Not speeches about damn America or never being proud of your country until 2008.

Americans can and should appreciate and welcome cultural differences because that is what melts down into something called American Culture. We need to put an end to the prejudices and discrimmination and we can’t do that by denying it exists nor by preaching hate, anger and separatism. We need to do it together. By talking, listening, understanding and standing together against those who hate and discriminate.

THis morning on Fox&Friends Chris Wallace tried to say that people should just chill-ax, Obama didn’t say, “typical white person” in a “formal speech” – he was just speaking candidly and the comment shouldn’t be held against him…

I disgree. The very fact that Obama was speaking freely shows his real heart – when preparing a speech you can filter your words to communicate one concept or another… But when you speak unscripted, your words are more likely to convey your TRUE opinions – whether you intend them to or not…

I found the “typical white person” statement not so much “offensive”, as smug and patronizing.
How dare he suppose what I think – he’s never met me – Obama cannot presume to know how “my experiences have bred me”!

    16. Open a Window on March 21st, 2008 5:44 pm

“Typical White Person” here. Yes, I am afraid of groups of young black men when they approach me on the street. My 5’1″ tiny pregnant cousin was walking in the middle of the day on a neighborhood street when 3 black men drove by very slowly looking at her. She kept walking and they turned around, pulled up next to her and got out of the car. They blocked the sidewalk and knocked her down and took her purse. Yes, I know that all young black men don’t do this, but they did it to her and she was pregnant! She considers herself lucky that the baby was fine and they just took her purse. So yeah, I have fear. Sue me.

while i find the “typical white person” term to be offensive i also find all these references to an “n” word offensive.

Let me first say its really offensive to use the N word, no matter what color one is.

Its almost as offensive as the campaign of misinformation by the MSM stating that Obama is for people of all colors.

His comments and actions all but show that is not the case. Obama, is a typical politician looking to use people for votes.

Obama is not special in an manner … HE IS TYPICAL.

I never thought this guy was EVER qualified enough to secure or lead our country. I thought he only got this far because this is the typical phase called “popularity-contest politics”.

In this case the, “Support-the-black-guy-and-you’ll-look-progressive!” move is as ludicrous as a guy with a mullet at a Paris Hilton party. These sheep don’t care if he’s qualified or not! This is what is going on in their feeble brains: “See? He must be good, George Clooney likes him!”

After Obama HUSSEIN made those flippant and blatant racial remark against us “typical whites”, now I REALLY know why I thought he was an incapable boob. This guy is a PR nightmare.

$100 says he was kicking himself in the ass, while wifey Michelle bitch slapped him after he said it…ooops. Finally, the truth comes out, Obama HUSSEIN! You know us, “typical white people”…always you know…looking out and being ‘afraid’ of the big, bad, mean, scary black men.

Give me a flippin’ break. I’ve never voted republican, but I think I’m starting to really like McCain. NO SPIN. What you see is what you get.

Isn’t that what politics is REALLY SUPPOSED to be about? No spin…here I am, this is ME, this is what I stand for.

Oh, I forgot we live in a world where people don’t know who the vice president is, yet they know who won “Dancing with the Stars”. And these are the same people who vote via their cell for American Idol. Christ, that show probably gets more votes than any Presidential election!

It makes me embarrassed to be an American sometimes.

      Obama’s pastor disses Natalee Holloway
‘White girl goes off and gives it up’ in Aruba, preacher pal says

      Posted: January 27, 2008
      6:49 pm Eastern 2008
      WorldNetDaily.com

Sen. Barack Obama’s longtime friend and spiritual adviser trashed the memory of a missing and presumed dead American teenage girl, according to church publications reviewed by WND.

Rev. Jeremiah Wright, the controversial minister of Obama’s church in Chicago, cited the case of Natalee Holloway’s disappearance in Aruba in complaining about what he sees as the media’s bias in covering white victims of crime over black victims.

“Black women are being raped daily in Darfur, Sudan, in the Congo and in Sub-Saharan Africa. That doesn’t make news,” Wright said in the August 2005 edition of Trumpet Magazine, a publication of his Trinity United Church of Christ.

But, “One 18-year-old white girl from Alabama gets drunk on a graduation trip to Aruba, goes off and ‘gives it up’ while in a foreign country, and that stays in the news for months!” he added. “Maybe I am missing something!”

The circumstances involving the coed’s disappearance remain unclear, and the case remains unsolved. Holloway left Mountain Brook, Ala., on a May 2005 senior class trip to Aruba.

Attempts to reach her family for comment were unsuccessful. But her mother, Beth Holloway, has written a book, “Loving Natalee,” in which she reveals her daughter named Jesus Christ as one of the most influential people in her life in a trove of writings she found in her bedroom.

from your comments, it sounds like you don’t belong in this country..

    25. Open a Window on March 21st, 2008 11:41 pm

The preacher actually trashed sweet Natalee Holloway that way? I am beyond disgusted. Who would want a “Reverend” like that? We know the truth, Beth and Dave.

Now Richard Williams, the tennis players’ father, is trashing Chris Evert and Tracy Austin, quote; ” … you get some little white no-good trasher in America like Tracy Austin or Chris Evert, who cannot hit the ball …” Next quote; “Well, I’m black and I’m prejudiced, very prejudiced”.

I think that many have tiptoed around blaming racism on white people, ex. “hate crimes”, when the street is definitely two-way.

People need to call Richard Williams on this, now! If a white person uttered these comments? I, for one, do not stand for this kind of reverse racism.

It is time to make black people accountable, just as white people are held accountable. It is o.k. to say that Obama is not qualified to be President (if you have that opinion) and it is o.k. to acknowledge his racism.

Obama is a typical black person. There, it is said. He is a racist. He is also tied to the Chicago Outfit. There, that’s said, too. His white heritage comes due to the fact that there is far more white people that are not racist than there are black people that are not racist. White people were even slaves, but they don’t continue to use that as a meal ticket the way black people do. The black people today using that meal ticket were never slaves themselves. Get over it.
