DNC chair Howard Dean Says … We May have to Broker Clinton-Obama Deal, Clinton Vice President?

So DNC Chairman Howard Dean wants to play Monty Hall and Let’s Make a Deal_or_no_dealDeal with Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama if there is no official nominee by the time the Democratic Party meets in Denver in August, 2008. Howard, will there be any screaming involved in the deal making?

Dean said Democrats would look to “get the candidates together to make some kind of an arrangement” before the party meets in Denver this August to officially select its nominee.

Deal? So does this mean that Hillary Clinton will be Barack Obama’s Vice President? Why not, why does it always have to be stated that Barack is supposed to be Hillary’s VP on the Dream Team Democratic ticket. What’s the matter with a Obama-Clinton ticket? Obama seems to be on a role and has the momentum. Inquiring minds want to know.

(CNN) — As predictions of a convention floor fight from the campaigns of Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama continue to mount, Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean said the party would likely intervene to prevent that scenario.

Dean said Democrats would look to “get the candidates together to make some kind of an arrangement” before the party meets in Denver this August to officially select its nominee.

“The idea that we can afford to have a big fight at the convention and then win the race in the next eight weeks, I think, is not a good scenario,” he said.

If there is no nominee selected by his predicted mid-spring date, or by Puerto Rico’s June vote – the last presidential primary on the Democratic calendar – Dean said the party would likely bring both sides together to work out a deal.

“Because I don’t think we can afford to have a brokered convention,” he said.

SM: I think the real question is … Could She?

Could you imagine Clinton eating that piece of humble pie? And Bill not being the First Man.

If it happened, Obama had best keep a good eye looking over his shoulder.

What people really need to see from this is that their own party does not trust them to choose a candidate and then move on to a general election. The party decides who to back from the very beginning and if that’s not enough, the party wants to now make your choice for you by brokering a deal.

What’s the difference of that and some other countries like Iraq that only allow one name on the ballot and then insist people vote? Not much.

A back room brokered nominee selection will be more damaging to the party than going to a convention ever could be. Join me in sending Howard Dean a message – sign my letter at http://www.camperky.com

It is time that we nominate Hillary for President and Obama for Vice President.

Why Hillary for President? Since the birth of this great nation, men have ruled this country as presidents. NO women president or vicepresident ever elected. Obama being a man, coninuation of man-presidency is NOT a change. It is time for a real change, and Hillary as the first women President si the change. Deocratic party must support this resolution and nominate Hillary-Obama ticket.
