NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell To Falcons QB Michael Vick … No Training Camp For You
The NFL is in a bind and they keep biding their time, trying to figure out what they are going to do to save the integrity of their sport. The last thing in the world the NFL wanted to do was come down hard on a marque player; however, Vick has left them no choice. Pretty soon, “Stay Away” will turn into GO AWAY!
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell’s edict is a start, but in no way the end. If the NFL wishes to save the soul of their sport and their fan base, Michael Vick must pay the piper. Criminality be damned, this is about morality.
The allegations of dog fighting involvement and Michael Vick keep getting worse and worse. The situation continues to dog the Atlanta Falcon QB and so it should. Today, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell fired the first shot of many arrows that will soon come Michael Vick’s direction. Vick was told not to attend the Falcon’s training camp.
“While it is for the criminal justice system to determine your guilt or innocence, it is my responsibility as commissioner of the National Football League to determine whether your conduct, even if not criminal, nonetheless violated league policies, including the Personal Conduct Policy,” Goodell said in a letter to the quarterback. (Fox News)
Animal rights groups like PETA have been protesting outside Falcons’ headquarters in Flowery Branch, GA, “Tell the NFL to Suspend Michael Vick“. And so they should. So should any other dog owner, pet owner or person with a conscience. We do not agree very often with PETA; however, this time they are in the right.

NBA referee Tim Donaghy Accused of Betting Fears for his Safety (Witness Protection Program?)
Tainted referee receiving some bad calls of his own …
As reported last week, ex-NBA referee Tim Donaghy is being investigated by the FBI for betting and possibly point shaving basketball games that he reffed. Now it appears that he fears for his safety as he is reportedly receiving threatening phone calls. One would think that Donaghy is in way over his head and helping the investigation. Can the witness protection program be far away?
“Our concern is for his safety and his family’s safety,” Sheriff’s Lt. Robert McNealy told the newspaper for a story in Monday’s editions. “We are definitely going to share any information we get with the FBI.”
What Are Our Court Thinking? Accused Child Rapist Set Free Because of No Interpreter
Another judicial outrage. Suspects rights trump victims rights again. So a suspected child rapist makes it through high school and community college and conveniently cannot understand English when charged with a crime. Mahamu Kanneh, a Liberian national who was accused of repeatedly raping a 7 year old girl, Judge Katherine Savage dismissed the charges and set this suspected child predator free because they could not find an interpreter. Under the right to have a speedy trial, a judge allowed a suspected child rapist to go free.
Charges against a man accused of repeatedly raping and molesting a 7-year-old girl were dismissed last week because the court could not find an interpreter fluent in the suspect’s native West African language. Mahamu Kanneh, a Liberian native who received asylum in this country and attended high school and community college here, according to The Washington Post, was denied a speedy trial after three years awaiting a court-appointed interpreter who could speak the tribal language of Vai.
