Kudos to Two Class Acts of Baseball: Cal Ripken Jr and Tony Gwynn Enshrined in the Baseball Hall of Fame
This years MLB Hall of Fame ceremonies were a true FIELD OF DREAMS …
Thank you Cal Ripkin Jr. and Tony Gwynn. With all the focus in Major League Baseball on Barry Bonds and his controversial and steroids tainted home run record, today two giants of baseball and class acts were enshrined in the MLB Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, NY. Cal Ripkin Jr. and Tony Gwynn represent everything that is right with baseball. Over their respective careers, Cal and Tony did it right, both on and off the baseball diamond. These two special men delighted man fans over their careers and during todays ceremonies once again for their fans created another Field of Dreams.
Tony Gwynn & Cal Ripkin Jr. – Hall of Fame may never induct two more deserving men of skill and character than these guys ever again. They are two true heros of the game, roll models who got it and ambassadors of baseball.
Many have wondered what it was that made Ripkin so beloved by Orioles and 
baseball fans. After all, Ripkin did break the fabled Lou Gehrig’s consecutive game mark. Broken records of such giants of baseball are not always easily accepted by fans. Ripkin was embraced by fans and celebrated everywhere because fans knew that Ripkin was a grounded and respectful individual who could always put things into their proper perspective.
“I always looked at it as just showing up for work every day,” he said. “As I look out on this audience, I see thousands of people who do the same, teachers, police officers, mothers, fathers, business people and many others.”

Alicia Pilouw Found Dead & Decomposing as Husband claims he Smelled Nothing
File this one under, the hard to believe category. 50 year old Alicia Pilouw had been 
missing since July 12, 2007. Her husband, Eugene Pilouw thought she had left him. Alicia Pilouw’s body was found three days later in a storage closet on the home. Eugene Pilouw claims that he that he never smelled her body decomposing. How does one not smell a decomposing body in the middle of the summer? Eugene actually blamed his lack of smell on his damaged nerves in his nose due to diabetes.
Eugene Pilouw, who said that diabetes have damaged the nerves in his nose, said he noticed his wife was missing on July 12. Three days later, his daughter found his wife’s body in storage room in the back area of the home.
“I never smelled anything and I still don’t smell anything,” he said. “I thought she had run away from home again — especially after I noticed an envelope with $250 was missing.” (Houston Chronicle)
A toxicology report is expected back on Monday to determine the cause of death; however, police are not ruling out foul play as officers continue investigating “unusual circumstances” surrounding her death
John Edwards … ” They Want to Shut Me Up” … No Maybe just To Shut Up.
The latest whining coming from the mouth of the Breck Girl, Democratic Presidential candidate wanna-be John Edwards, claims … “They want to shut me up”. No John Edwards, no one wants to shut you up. Maybe they may just want you to shut up. Many of us are just tired of your hypocrisy of Two Americas. Let alone your less than stellar performances in recent debates.
Funny that Edwards would make a comment about trying to shut others up and monopolizing the stage. Isn’t that exactly what he and Hillary Clinton were discussing following a recent debate?
Edwards says, “We should try to have a more serious and a smaller group.”
Clinton agrees, saying, “We’ve got to cut the number” and “they’re not serious.”
However, John Edwards the forever Democratic victim thinks that’s its a right wing 
conspiracy against him. Edwards may want to take a look see at who has control of the House, Senate and the media, as his following comment borders on ridiculous, “ if we don’t beat them, they’re going to continue to control this country. They’re going to control the media.” This is beyond borderline laughable. Hear the following comments from Edwards. Hey John, how about some nice cheese with that whine?
This stuff’s not an accident. Nobody in this room should think this is an accident. You know, I’m out there speaking up for universal healthcare, ending this war in Iraq, speaking up for the poor. They want to shut me up. That’s what this is about. “Let’s distract from people who don’t have health care coverage. Let’s distract from people who can’t feed their children…. Let’s talk about this silly frivolous nothing stuff so that America won’t pay attention.”
They will never silence me. Never.
If we don’t stand up to these people, if we don’t fight em, if we don’t beat them, they’re going to continue to control this country. They’re going to control the media. They’re going to control what’s being said. They do not want to hear us talking about health care for everybody. (The Politico)

Texas EquuSearch To Join the Search for Missing Donna Jou
We have been informed by Tim Miller of Texas EquuSearch that members of the 
volunteer, non-profit, search organization will be getting involved in the search for missing 19 year old Donna Jou. Members of Texas EquuSearch will be heading to California in the very near future.
Just recently a person of interest and sex offender, John Stevens Burgess, was arrested in Florida on an unrelated drug charge.

Strange Robbery Stories … Robbing a Lemonade Stand and a Fish & Chips Store
Does it get any more pathetic than an 11 year old’s lemonade stand getting robbed? 
That is what happened to Austin Cundy as his lemonade stand was robbed by two teenagers. One suspect was arrested and charged with suspicion of robbery and physical abuse to a child. Try explaining that one in jail to the other cons. Arrested for robbing a lemonade stand … that will get you street cred, GEEZ. For this offense the 17 year old boy, Anthony W. Hans could receive 18 months. Cundy was robbed by two teenagers of a plastic container containing $20 that he had collected by selling cold drinks from a stand in the 800 block of Knapp Street.
Oshkosh police on Wednesday evening took a 17-year-old boy into custody in connection with the robbery at Cundy’s lemonade stand.
Robbing a lemonade stand may be pathetic, but robbing a fish & chip store can be downright dangerous. Be very careful of fried foods and oil. A man in Australia tried to rob a fish and chip shop and found himself on the losing side when the angry shop owner threw fish batter and hot oil at him.
Royal Caribbean reduced its annual earnings forecast, Fuel Costs & Sluggish Demand in the Caribbean
Royal Caribbean cruise lines state that profits rose; however, reduced its annual earnings forecast as the future looks like rough seas. There seem to be many contributing factors this reduction forecast including high fuel prices, canceled trips and blunt sluggish demand in the Caribbean.
The company charged more for cruises to the Mediterranean, Scandinavia and Alaska, destinations that are more profitable than the Caribbean. It has added ships and extended the sailing season in Europe to blunt sluggish demand in the Caribbean, its largest market.
Royal Caribbean operates about 35 ships under the Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises, Pullmantur and Azamara Cruises lines. The company bought Pullmantur SA, a Spanish cruise operator, last year to expand in Europe and reduce its dependence on the Caribbean (Miami Herald)
