Palm Beach County, FL thinks its OK not to provide answers for families when it comes 
to missing persons and crimes committed. That is the message they are sending to the public. Why would anyone want to visit a place with their hard earned money where they embrace and reward a person for helping to spin a crime?
Joseph Pesquera, the president and CEO of the AHATA is reported to to be hired by the Palm Beach, FL Convention and Visitors Bureau. This is just another example of tourism at all cost and the hell with victims rights. No one would even know who Joseph Pesquera was if it were not for the unfortunate story of 18 year old Alabama teenager missing in Aruba. And for that, Joseph Pesquera is praised and rewarded with his efforts in the case of missing and presumed dead Natalee Holloway.
EARTH TO PALM BEACH COUNTY … This is the face of Aruban Tourism. Is this what you want in your county as well?

Bureau officials point to Pesquera’s 30 years of experience in the travel and tourism industry. They also said they were impressed with how he handled himself during a crisis that played out in the national media. (REALLY, may want to read?)
Pesquera was head of Aruba’s tourism agency in 2005 when American citizen Natalee Holloway disappeared while on a graduation trip there. On his résumé, he takes credit for playing “the key role in the establishment of the strategic communications task force, which worked behind the scenes to minimize the impact of the Holloway story and effectively stopped calls for boycott by some U.S. elected officials.” (Palm Beach Post)
Why would anyone hire anyone this controversial for a face of tourism position? Hey Palm Beach, what planet do you people live on and what are you smoking? How he handled the crisis? Aruba was swarmed on by the media and they lost control of the story from the outset. As for the Strategic Communications Task Farce, that went away a long time ago as it was branded useless. The web site ArubaTruth could not even handle the onslaught from on line entities like Scared Monkeys continually asking questions and demanding answers.
Palm Beach, you are being snowed. Joseph Pesquera did nothing to stop any such boycott against Aruba. To this day the boycott against Aruba goes forth as an individuals choice not to go to an island where they care little if something happens to a tourist. Instead they use cronyism and cover up as their method of choice.
Palm Beach County, you should be ashamed of yourself. rewarding an individual for helping in covering up and obstructing an investigation against one of your own. So is it safe to presume now that if a person goes missing in Palm Beach County, FL that you will arrest the first two black people you see, charge them with the crime and then stone wall the investigation to protect your own?

Hey Palm Beach, John Mark Karr is in Georgia, the next state over without a job. With your rationalization of hiring practicing I am sure you can find a position for him in the Child Welfare Services department. After all, he skating on a murder/rape charge even though he tried his hardest to profess his guilt.

• Pesquera’s contract was not renewed, because his Meet Aruba program was a flop.
• Pesquera knows that with Aruba’s present situation, the possibilities of palpable success are deam for him, so it’s time to pick up and leave.

Well, it may sound like a joke….but I will boycott Florida oranges. They are over priced anyway. As for Florida tourism on my family’s consideration list for Winter 2007….erased. Thats a miniscule contribution, but in my mind, I’ve now registered MY protest.
The beauty is whether anyone one knows or not…..I know. I have choices.
Given that so many Arubans seem to flock to Florida (even Joran van der Sloot and the Kalpoes were going to honor that state with their presence, as I recall, and Paulus of the Ditch did go there shortly after Natalee vanished) …

Jorge was a powerful force in efforts to get the prosecutors office to be forthcoming. He also fought to have the investigation continue, when others wanted it halted.

It is my contention that the ATA and AHATA … very early in the Natalee Holloway investigation … strategically placed posters on internet forums and hired public relations spokespersons for the sole purpose of erecting smokescreens to obscure the truth regarding the involvement of Joran and Paulus van der Sloot in the events encompassing that fateful morning when an eighteen year old American citizen went missing. I also contend Jorge Pesquera was an adherence to that agenda.

This is an absolute ball of fluff, and I’m sure Mediaman knows it as well as the rest of us do. From day one, the Arubans were spreading lies about all the “freebies” that the Holloway Twittys were getting.
Dave Holloway offered to show his credit card bills to anyone interested. All that Aruba gave them, after some initial sympathy from some people, was scorn and antagonism.
From now on, I guess, we’ll be having trolls from West Palm Beach on here as well as the regular low-lifes from Aruba.
Perhaps all the attempts to educate Palm Beach about their candidate were in vain?
Perhaps Mr Stuber did not pass on all the letters of concern to them?

I contend that Jorge Pesquera has to have connections. Inquiring mind want to know why Palm Beach Florida would consider hiring a former Aruba Hotel and Tourism Association president who concedes that there was steady decline in the Aruba tourism rate in the past two years under his watch.

If we can’t work to stop this travesty in our country, what right do we have to express anger at Aruba?
How can Palm Beach afford to be tied to Aruba in any way? Do they have any idea what this connection might mean to them economically? This is the front door entrance for Aruba’s organized crime into Florida. Actually, if it’s already there, it may be just another door, a much more visible one. If so, this is a ballsy move on the part of the individuals involved. Of course, we already knew that these people have gonads. They’re just short on brain matter, but it’s worked for them so far.
One thing to note: I just looked at the Website for the governor of the state of Florida.
It says that e-mail addresses are items of public record under Florida law.
So it could be that if you send the governor (or whoever) an e-mail, your address would have to be given up to someone who brought a suit under the Freedom of Information act or something similar.
I could give a hoot … but the Web site says that if this is a problem for you, send a regular letter or make a phone call instead.

Steve Cohen gave a talk last year in the Caribbean and said 2 of the 3 admitted to having sex with Natalee. He also said he expects rape and murder charges to be filed against them soon. Visitors bureau looks set to hire CEO at top pay

WEST PALM BEACH – Members of the county’s Convention and Visitors Bureau are expected to choose their new leader today and offer a compensation package that rivals the pay of most top county government officials.
Jorge Pesquera, president and chief operating officer of the Aruba Hotel and Tourism Association, is the top choice of the bureau’s search committee to serve as its CEO/president. The tourism bureau’s full board of directors will decide today whether to formally offer him the job.

In hopes of luring Pesquera from his well-paying job, the bureau has put together a salary and bonus package that could bring his total pay to about $195,000 in his first year and more than $250,000 by his third.
In his first year on the job, Pesquera would make more than Deputy County Administrator Verdenia Baker, the county’s second-in-command and the one responsible for overseeing the county’s tourism-related agencies.
Bureau officials point to Pesquera’s 30 years of experience in the travel and tourism industry. They also said they were impressed with how he handled himself during a crisis that played out in the national media.
Pesquera was head of Aruba’s tourism agency in 2005 when American citizen Natalee Holloway disappeared while on a graduation trip there. On his résumé, he takes credit for playing “the key role in the establishment of the strategic communications task force, which worked behind the scenes to minimize the impact of the Holloway story and effectively stopped calls for boycott by some U.S. elected officials.”

If Natalee is in that cage i for the first time think these ships & Triton WILL find her and when they do its probable that only the skull will still be inside it. It will be obvious to everyone in the recovery effort that a bullet entered that skull causing the death. Pasquera is from the island of crime and corruption and did nothing to help resolve the case of Natalee Holloway or even tried to ensure the safety of other tourists. Just come and bring your pocketbook, Aruba needs the money! Participated in trying to stop the boycott which was put in place to ask for justice for Natalee, our American. And trying to do more damage behind the scenes by promoting cover-up to prevent the case from being solved. I certainly don’t see any credibility on his behalf and he admits to being the key player. He didn’t solve anything but made matters worse.

From what I remember of the Geraldo/O’Reilly discussion, it was said that Natalee died from a massive coronary due to having ingested cocaine.

anybody that’s read natalees’ history and listened to her parents and friends describe her will agree that her taking cocaine or any other drug at all is totally out of character. to suggest that she did this willingly just a few hours before flying home to momma is even more absurd. this story is just a little more spin and detail work done to dompig’s story back in the spring that nobody bought then and nobody in their right mind is going to buy now.
did you see how oreilly wouldn’t even look at the camera when he was telling this tale? did you notice how many times he and geraldo qualified their statements and made sure we understood that there was absolutely no evidence that any of the drivel was true. and greta said not a word about the whole affair, and bill’s teaser on her show didn’t even mention natalee? something’s afoot here, and it isn’t natalee being responsible for her own death. and just who was supposed to have diagnosed this “cardiac arrest”? all this is a total crock of steaming horse apples and i’m ashamed of fox for participating in it.
