Al Gore III Busted For Possession of Drugs & Speeding … While Stopping Global Warming …

Its not easy being green:

24 year old Al Gore III was arrested by police for drug possession after being stopped by an Orange County sheriff’s deputy at 2:15 am on the San Diego Freeway for speeding. It seems that Al Gore III was traveling 100 mph in his hybrid Toyota Prius. Can’t you just imagine the conversation? But, officer, don’t you know who I am? Arrest me? But … but my carbon foot print is less than you police cruiser. That’s what my dad tells me.

A subsequent search yielded a small amount of marijuana, along with prescription drugs including Valium, Xanax, Vicodin and Adderall, said sheriff’s spokesman Jim Amormino. There were no prescriptions found, he said.

Gore was arrested on suspicion of drug possession and booked into the Inmate Reception Center in Santa Ana, about 34 miles south of Los Angeles, on $20,000 bail, he said.

It was not Gore’s first brush with the law. He was arrested in 2003 for marijuana possession and in 2002 for suspected drunken-driving. (Reuters)

We can’t wait for the excuses on this one. Al Gore III should get a lessoned charge or fine because his carbon footprint was below the average car owner.

   Sounds like little Al was headin’ back from Tijuana after buying some scripts. Let me guess – you felt “in the clear” after you made it through the border patrol checkpoint at Pendleton so you floored it.

   Remember when one of President Bush’s daughters was out at a nightclub or something without Secret Service protection?
   It might even have been in South America (if so, God help her), I don’t remember clearly … but there was a lot of press brouhaha back then about it.

   Hardly hear anything about Gore Jr.

   Can’t imagine why that is, can you?
