It may not have been so much confused but more the sense of the reality of just what will happen to him.
Kelsey Smith Case – Edwin R. Hall, 26, from Olathe, Kansas was arrested Wednesday for the murder of 18-year-old Kelsey Smith and formally charged with first degree murder and aggravated kidnapping on Thursday. Hall’s arraignment was scheduled for Thursday afternoon and lasted all of 3 minutes.
A reporter for FOX News said that Hall appeared to be confused and had trouble answering simple yes or no questions during the arraignment, which he attended via video phone . Hall also said that he has no attorney, though earlier reports claimed he did, and waived his right to read the charges against him.

Take note Aruba! This is how we do it in America. The way things of this magnitude should be handled. Note the amount of time from crime committed to an arrest. Now stay tuned for penalty phase. But most of all note the most important element of all , There is NO corruption here. Justice will CERTAINLY prevail.

Perhaps Carol Williams (LA TIMES) will jump to his support. After all this was just another “missing white women” and no one should have cared. Hey, if I am wrong i will still stick by him, and that is what you would call a true friend, something that you must all not know a god dambed thing about. i wont have to worry about that because he is innocent, he just is….. Sweetness – seriously – you can say and do whatever, but, please get a grip on reality. There was no other girl, and he did not call you to “get the word out.” It truly does not matter to me what alternative universe you have decided to travel to in your head in regards to this, because Jack is where he belongs and politics have nothing to do with it. Jack misses his son because Jack abducted a young girl and Jack got caught and now Jack will be punished. Evidence is evidence and I hope you follow that part of this as well, not some weird feeling or phantom phone calls that you claim to receive. PS The media has shown only dignity and class throughout this whole ordeal. They stopped talking about Jack at around the same time poor Kelsey was given a proper burial (not the one your Jack had intended for her) so there is no reason to blame the media. They have reported fairly. Facts are facts. Wait until the DNA is processed. You already have the guy and the truck (wow, I love how Jack explained that very interesting coincidence to you…now ask him to explain where he was between the hours of 7 and 9:30 that Saturday night…his lack of an explanation is what clicked this into place, by the way) BUT, the clinker will be the DNA evidence. I stand corrected in my previous comments. Edwin Hall is a murderer, rapist, kidnapper, and sick individual. He should (and most likely will) receive the death penalty in the murder of Kelsey Smith. Edwin was not very popular growing up, and this was the kind of girl he could NEVER get in H.S. To everyone here, I want to apologize from the bottom of my heart for my original feelings about Edwin. My personal relationship with him blinded me from the truth of the matter – that he is a murderer. I was wrong, you were right. Please accept my dearest sympathies.

My heart is just broken for all those involved in this horrific crime. I can’t help but feel sorry for the accused and his family as well. So many lives torn apart…the responsibility for this does not lie soley on the accused if he indeed is proven guilty. I am interested to hear his testimony. Many were involved in the upbringing of this young man. Yes, we are all responsible for our actions. We make a choice, but in my opinion, the accused did not become a monster all by himself. I continue to pray for Kelsey’s family-I grieve with them. I also grieve for the product of a corrupt society.
