Amigoe, May 17, 2007: Governor-cabinet takes attack seriously
ORANJESTAD – The Cabinet of the Governor of Aruba has taken extra security measures after two female strangers jammed into the building last Friday, by pushing down an employee of the Representation of the Netherlands when she opened the door, and they took the key with them.
“This is very badly and we take this matter very seriously”, said Harold Boersen, director of the Cabinet. The two women were in the building for two minutes, before the alarm sounded and they ran away. The images of the woman taken by the security system of the Cabinet were handed over to the detective. A thorough investigation didn’t reveal any damages caused by this incident. The lock of which the women had taken the key, was changed. The women have only entered the public area of the Cabinet. As a result of the incident, the Cabinet had consulted the superintendent Peter de Witte. Hopefully the police will soon identify the two female trespassers and take actions against them. Security has meanwhile been increased and the entrance of the public has been tightened.

It will be interesting indeed to see if Aruba’s finest (courtesy title, and ONLY a courtesy title, for their police) can do anything about this case more quickly.
Richard – First they’ll have to lose the security tape; go have a drink at C&C’s; find a donkey bone, chocolate and cleaning fluid; verify through their “lab” that the hairs and duct tape are unrelated; and then set the landfill on fire. That’ll take at least a year and a half. Then they’ll call in the Dutch to see if they can find any leftover fingerprints on the door to ID the two women. :0

I will check back in a couple of years and see how they are coming with this investigation.
This whole thing “hits home” because of my own daughters – all “pretty, rich, white girls” and all of them, through us, taken to various tropical climates, where all of them, at one time or another, behaved wildly and irresponsibly the moment they got the chance, apparently in the mistaken belief that, because they were on vacation, the normal rules didn’t apply. I just shudder to think how easily their names here instead of Natalee Holloway’s. I truly empathize with and ache for the family of Natalee.
To the people of Aruba: Nobody blames the Island or its people (except a few idiots with nothing better to do). The response of the Aruban people has been exemplary. When a couple of female German tourists, hiking out here, were abducted, raped and murdered, the government didn’t give everyone a day off to help find them or their killers. Your country and your people are to be commended. Don’t cheapen that with suggestions that this is a hoax or an insurance ploy or that Ms. Holloway is out there eating dinner and waving to the locals while her mother cries on TV. I’m afraid that this is a crime and that there will be no happy ending, much as people in both countries would like there to be.
The lesson here is offered by a “Former Law Enforcement Officer” – even in paradise, bad things can happen. You have to be responsible for yourself and, if you are in a group, for GOD’S SAKE, take some responsibility for each other! That is the thought which just tears at me. 123 of her classmates let her go off into the night with 3 virtual strangers and nobody did anything or said anything or, so far as I can tell, paid any attention. We really are our brother’s keeper. Take the role seriously, because it could be you or your friend, or your or your friend’s daughter or sister who ends up missing. Don’t send your kids off to foreign countries without some attempt to enlighten them to the dangers. Don’t go to a foreign land and suspend all the self-protective measures you’d adopt at home. Don’t, if you really are a “chaperone” treat the trip as a personal vacation – others are counting on you to watch out for their loved ones. This is the concatenation of a thousand errors and omissions, large and small, and the price of that may very likely be the death of a beautiful and, by all accounts, basically decent and accomplished young woman.
Let’s remind ourselves of our shared humanity, because it is only that which holds back the darkness. My heart goes out to the Holloway/Twittys. I hope my worst fears remain unrealized.

What father responds on day 1 to the news of a MISSING CHILD with the chilling callousness demonstrated by Paulus van der Sloot: “NO CORPSE, NO CASE”…
Why did all the other students come home?
THEIR DRINKS WERE NOT DRUGGED WITH THE PLANNED USE OF A NARCOTIC THAT RENDERED THE VICTIM, THE TARGET – NATALEE, COMPLETELY HELPLESS.
What kept Paulus from explaining to Natalee’s family that he was right there at the casino, beside the missing NATALEE HOLLOWAY? WHY DID PAULUS HIDE THIS CHILLING DETAIL FROM BETH WHEN HE KNEW HOW DESPERATE SHE WAS TO FIND HER BABY IN A FOREIGN COUNTRY?
What do FBI and numerous police officials think of this so-called “investigation”?

They came home because THEY were not targeted into the car, after being DRUGGED, and taken away by Joran van der Sloot, Deepak and Satish Kalpoe.
To suggest that Natalee’s friends were remiss in protecting her from rapists and kidnappers is unfair and completely untrue, particularly when you consider that the ALE polis KNEW exactly what went on over at C and Cs.
IT WAS THE ALE’S JOB TO DEFEND AND PROTECT NATALEE FROM THE ROAMING RAPISTS AND KIDNAPPERS ON THE ISLAND OF ARUBA.
And clearly, from the manner in which they proceeded after immediately learning she was a missing kidnapped child, they seem to have had another agenda going on that did not include any interest in finding Natalee or helping her heartbroken family.
Since when is our response to criminal conduct, to BLAME the victim, her family, her friends – and EVERYONE BUT THOSE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CRIMINAL ACTS EXECUTED UPON THE VICTIM?
The mistake of the Mountain Brook group was this: to trust and believe their lives were VALUED AND SAFE on the island of Aruba.
This clearly suggests that there is unfinished business for our State Department regarding this case, this child and what was done to her by these villanous criminals who violated her human rights, and WHO PREYED UPON HER, SOUGHT HER OUT, SINGLED HER OUT FOR TARGETING, IN ORDER TO RENDER HER HELPLESS SO THAT THEY COULD TAKE TURNS RAPING HER, AND ULTIMATELY MURDERING HER.
That big island “search” that yielded evidence being destroyed while ALE polis continued to IGNORE what was right there in the dated May 31 statement made by Satish?
It was a scam. It yielded nothing because it was intended to appear as a ‘concerned’ effort, where even the good people of Aruba who were truly trying to help – GOT USED by those invested in hiding the corruption going on, and the depravity of what these killers did to Natalee Holloway.
And to think that this was then followed with accusations made against a heartbroken mother,whom thousands of Americans were moved to compassion in supporting,and whose only purpose was to find her baby!

What kind of “SEARCH” EXCLUDES THE GET AWAY CAR that Natalee was eye witnessed inside of?
What kind of “SEARCH” goes to the OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE ISLAND, from where Natalee was eyewitnessed and seen, and then IGNORES “THE HOUSE” that is mentioned in the 5/31 statements of one of her kidnappers?
What kind of “investigation” DESTROYS CONFESSIONS?
What kind of “investigation” destroys STATEMENTS MADE BY THE SUSPECTS?
What kind of “polis work” excludes the desperate pleas of a mother and all Natalee’s friends who REPEATEDLY STATED: THIS IS NOT LIKE NATALEE TO GO WITH STRANGE MEN…particularly since Dennis Jacobs had FULL KNOWLEDGE of all the DRUGGING in the drinks that was going on over at C and C of which he WARNED Dave Holloway about, before sending him off to go and search for his own daughter.

Apart from NOT going to aruba, there is nothing Natalee could have done differently or learned to prevent what happened to her.
Why would 3 males who put a girl in their car NOT drive her back to her hotel and friends?
Why would 3 males even put an unknown female in their car?
Why would you tell a female that you are older and a touist staying at her hotel?
Why would 3 males want ot be with one female tourist on her last night?
What if while driving today, you stop at a traffic light and a pedestrian at the corner shoots and kills you?
Why weren’t any of your family members and friends there to stop it.

Jurin hung out at the hotel that Natalee and her 124 classmates stayed at.. He gambled with them told them he was 19 yrs old, and not a local but a tourist staying at that hotel. None of her classmates knew that jurin was at C&C with 2 friends. He decieved her. It was a thought out plan. It is almost impossible to impossible to protect yourself from this type of preditor. Add to that that aruba lied to tourist that it was a very safe environment. Perhaps if they we vacationing in the Bronx(no disrespect intended) Natalee and her friends would have been more guarded.

Each of you have missed the point entirely. Allow me illustrate.
You are driving down the highway and are hit by drunk driver. You were not wearing your seatbelt and were ejected from the vehicle and permenantly injured or worse. Had you been wearing a seatbelt, your injuries would have been minor.
Statements of fact:
1. The drunk driver hitting you and causing the accident ARE NOT YOUR FAULT. IT IS THE FAULT OF THE DRUNK DRIVER.
2. The injuries you sustained ARE THE FAULT OF THE DRUNK DRIVER.
3. However, the FACT remains that YOU DID NOT TAKE PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY to protect yourself. Taking such PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY would have MITIGATED the results of the accident. You would have remained uninjured/alive had you PROTECTED YOURSELF.
#29 is simply stating that one has a responsibility to protect one’s self. You can’t rely upon others to watch out for you because they will not always do so.
Additionally, the mantra that you and others have espoused with regard to other statements similar to #29 are absolutely disengenuous and dangerous. Despite the fact that we know there are dangerous folks located throughout ALL Countries (even the USA), would you tell you daughter (or son) it is ok to behave in an irresponsible careless manner since this bad folks should not cause you harm? I think not.

That driver, who got into her car…did she know she was DRUGGED before getting into it? The issue isn’t the seat belt at all.
