Fighting the War on Terror, One Person At a Time
A plan to kill soldiers at Fort Dix was thwarted yesterday. The story was all over the media, but the intitial clue to stopping a possible terrorist attack is being credited to a Circuit City employee who saw suspicious behavior and contacted the proper authorities.
The clerk alerted Mount Laurel police about the video in January
2006, who then contacted the FBI, which launched the investigation.“Out of respect for our store associates and also to avoid
interfering with the investigation, we’re not doing interviews,”
Babb said. “This is in the midst of the early stages of an
investigation and we don’t want to do anything to interfere with
that. Babb declined to give the clerk’s name. via Home News Tribune Online.
The war on terror will be fought using the high tech tools by the government, but it will also be fought by people like you and I. Stay vigilent and observant and you too may save some lives.

Good job Circuit City!!
Assuming that what we’re told is accurate, this anonymous employee, who deserves to be heralded as a genuine hero (unless you think that title should be reserved for people like Britney Spears, as half our nation’s adolescents probably do), is probably in fear of his life or of public assault by terror sympathizers.
What a commentary on the state of things today.
It would be very interesting to know if this hero was Muslim. Irrelevant, mostly, but interesting: would he be worried that other members of this “no-violence” religion would cut his throat for turning in other Muslims?
And in case anyone wants to denounce me as bigoted, I’m fully aware that most Muslims are not terrorists. I’m also fully, and painfully, aware that most terrorists are Muslim.
