It is terrible BUT I found it extremely disturbing that
the parents were reported to have left the child sleeping
in their hotel room while they were out and were taking
turns going back to check on her. That is reckless endangerment in my book and no proper parent ever leaves a child of any age alone in a hotel room, sleeping or not.

And in a hotel of probably several hundred rooms, how does an abductor zero in on the very room that a child is left alone in?

I have seen where in some places you can leave your stroller with the baby in it and park it outside an establishment….sick…but she was with her twin brothers that were 2…why would you leave your chidren alone anywhere????

SM:   I believe in the original article, it mentions that the front door of their apartment was within eyeshot of where they were dining.   They could see the door of the apartment and would each take turns double checking on the kids.   I’m not sure what withing eyeshot means, but it could be very close. Just said a pray for little Madeleine and those looking for her. Don’t forget the power of prayer.

Sorry there’s no excuse for leaving three little tots alone. Apparently her bedroom window wasn’t in “eye shot”.

“broadcaster RTP interviewed Barra da Costa, a former inspector in the Judicial Police, who also said that sources within the force believed that Madeleine’s abductor could be from the UK. He said there was a feeling that the apparently meticulous planning, without leaving evidence, could also point to a British rather than Portuguese intruder…” So….they have already screwed up this investigation with their apparent lack of urgency and now they are heading down the path of the predator being meticulous so he can’t be Portuguese? Lots of predators are very meticulous but I don’t think that is something that varies from country to country — or are they just being Aruba-like and washing their hands of the idea that someone from their country wouldn’t hurt a tourist?

No matter what…this is so very, very sad and I’m sure that the parents,no matter how careful they felt they were being, will ever forgive themselves. But…I don’t think we need to condemn them. It’s a very dangerous world out there but not all are aware of just how dangerous it has become. Me…I’m suspicious of everybody and I was attacked and raped while jogging 17 years ago. I know I didn’t do anything wrong but believe me if I do talk about it I always get a “what were you thinking” kind of comment.

oh klaas, this is just to terrible…the poor little girl…
Glaswegain, Im so sorry to hear this. I hope all is well with you.

If people saw a man dragging a little girl why didn’t they stop him! Ask questions, I’m sure the little girl would have let them know by her actions he was not her father. People just don’t want to get involved anymore. Now because someone didn’t help she could lose her life! There’s no telling what he has already done to her!! God help this baby to come home to her parents!!

Oh dear, I was in shock tomorrow, when I had heard this news.

I’m sure Madeleine McCann is in life. I’m sure this is it work from a SEXUAL PREDATOR.
I’m sure, this beautiful girl is sexual abuses.

Hey menina Madeleine, eu sou certo que as polícias o encontrarão.

When you have any information call SCOTLAND YARD in London, United Kingdom or the Portuguese police.

If a stranger had abducted the child, she surely would have screamed or cried out. For her to have vanished so quickly and quietly, it’s possible the abductor was fairly familiar to her.
      A hotel employee?
      A recent babysitter?
A “new acquaintance” who was occupying neighboring hotel room?
Hope the properties’cameras have been checked. Hope the guest list has been scoured. Somebody knows something!

I pray this child is found and found alive. I’m sorry to say this but the parents left a window of oppurtunity for a stranger to walk in and snatch her. Ground level room, unsupervised, late in the evening…..Come on really, how could they have been so irresponsbible? Couldn’t they have at least found a babysitter? Some resorts do offer that. This whole thing sounds very suspicious to me.

I understand the reward for her return is $3,000,000 and no major news network in the US has mentioned this?
